UPCL Cricket - Week 3 Part 3

This segment will close the third week of the season, and hopefully usher in a new stretch of more activity for the league in all competitions. We begin with...

Cisco Tysini Field, Tysini: The first game of the segment is a battle between Southwest Division rivals off to very different starts this year. Smudge recovered from recent struggles on the road to grind out 480 points, giving Infinity a decent start to the game. Princess was tagged for a mandatory replay after a technical error, and she made the most of the second chance by scoring 520 for Tysini to take a small lead early on. Solaris also got forced into a replay, and the Torpedoes rookie made it count with 554 to lift his team back into the league with the effort. Leandra couldn't cover this attack, only pulling in 322 for the Hummingbirds as they slip behind. Whiskers slashed another 868 for Infinity, extending their lead quite significantly. Charli answered with 480 for Tysini, making some of the deficit back. Mr. Snowman lined 711 for the Torpedoes against one of his former teams, giving the visitors a final score of 2613. Brownie contributed 438 for the Hummingbirds, but they couldn't complete the comeback, losing with 1760. Infinity soars on to 6-1, while Tysini drops to 1-4 on the year despite a solid offensive output each time.

Henry Ford Memorial Field, Pronger: Another division battle takes place in the Eastern Hills, as the Tridents don their throwbacks to end their home stand with the rival Gems. Smokey continues to be snake-bit for Diamond, taking only 48 on his opening turn this time. Precious proved solid in response for Pronger, hammering 712 to give them a large lead. Citrus collected a reasonable 320 for the Gems to dent the deficit a bit with her performance. Zach had only 36 for the Tridents, leaving them a bit more vulnerable at the halfway mark. Pedey rallied Diamond back into the game, posting 664 to cover the deficit for awhile. Spot got caught in a technical error situation and decided to accept a score of 299 after halting his play, although it took multiple offerings to take the wicket. Rosalina produced only 162 for the Gems, giving them 1194 in total, which will force a small response from the hosts. Potter succeeded with 466 for the Tridents, sealing their win at 1513. The division win sends Pronger to 3-1 overall, while Diamond drops to 2-4 on the year.

Toyota Pitch, Freedom: The games remain in the Eastern Hills, as the road-weary Stills meet the fresh-faced Cascades. Easter had a solid performance for Todavía in this appearance, collecting 456 to lead things off in this game. Jasmine flicked 257 for Freedom to start their game off, but they will be playing from behind at first. Sierra got locked into her positioning very early, and drilled 659 for the Stills throughout the turn to boost their lead quite significantly. Stinky saved the Cascades from being too far out of the game with a massive reach on a desperation save, allowing him to score 479 as the deficit grows a bit. Sparkles had only 176 for Todavía, a continuation of her deep struggles with road games. Roxy failed to make any progress for Freedom, taking only a paltry 93 as they look set to take the loss. Bells popped 450 for the Stills, bringing their total to 1741 in what looks like it'll be a win. Nikolai managed only 208 for the Cascades, and they suffered the loss with a final of 1037. Todavía is doing well to stave off fatigue, improving to 6-4 on the year, while Freedom is 2-2 after the defeat.

Starbucks Cup, Archtown: Two more busy teams square off, as the Volcanoes head to the Northeast for their sixth of seven straight road games. Starlight pounded 482 for Pacific at the start, but a bad play on her backhand brought her turn to an early end. Sally had to battle with a cluttered pitch, and as she got more wild, it caught up with her, bringing her down at 359 to lead off the last Archtown home game for awhile. Ms. Kitty cranked out 575 for the Volcanoes before taking a bad angle on a lobbed offering that finished her appearance. Sleepy B. got most of it back, breaking out of her home slump with 560 for the Arrows to keep things close at the halfway point. Leonette batted 378 for Pacific, a solid amount to add to their fairly standard lead. Ruby tried to sustain her big pace for Archtown, but quickly faded away and had only 230 to add to the score, letting them slip a little more. Chicky Phil grabbed another 313 for the Volcanoes, giving them a final score of 1748. Dusky put in quite the challenge for the Arrows, slicing 487 on her turn, but this left them short at 1636 in the loss. Pacific is up to 5-4 on the season, while Archtown leaves home for a six-game road trip on a 4-6 record so far.

HP Field, Midland: The Predators' six-game home stand continues with this fourth match, which is also the fourth in a row for the traveling Nighthawks as they await the completion of their stadium. Peach ended the game on an errant backhand, but only after scoring 487 for North Modernistic. Shawn had a forgettable 240 in his outing, after taking a false start on his initial effort. Luigi got beat on a bad bounce, giving him 272 to add to the Nighthawks offense. Rainmane struggled to get behind the ball, and this was no more obvious than when she wiped out her own wicket, ending on a meager 135 for the Predators. North Modernistic was exposed when Cheddar got stormed from the start, taking only 24 for the team despite a backhand save on a pacey offering. Leonardo cut into the deficit with 216 for Midland, but not quite enough, as the low-scoring game still favors the visitors slightly. Bright didn't get much more, with his 215 putting the Nighthawks at a low final of 998. Fuchsia did alright with 319 for the Predators, but this left them at 910, a total too small to avoid the loss. North Modernistic escaped with a win to go to 3-1, while Midland is 4-3 after losing to their expansion counterparts.

Nike Field, Commerce: The Tradewinds and Stills duke it out in the Purple Derby, which will see if the Stills can keep their fatigue-defying play going in the second of three straight road games. Easter launched 907 on a replay after a technical error wiped out a poor first effort, giving Todavía a massive first attack. Tigerette got a bit too greedy and faltered at 158 for Commerce, putting them far behind early in the game. Sierra smashed another 846 for the Stills on her turn, likely already securing a win for the high-flying team. Ice Cream pulled in 264 for the Tradewinds, far from enough to be of any help as they enter the half far behind. Sparkles' road woes continued with a poor 129 for Todavía, but it's not likely to hurt the team this time. Lionel pummeled 912 for Commerce, digging deep to halve the deficit with his big turn. Bells slipped up at 36 for the Stills, icing their score at 1918 after a second-half collapse. Lorde couldn't do any better, splitting her swing and missing two separate offerings to end with 40 points and a Tradewinds losing total of 1374. Todavía didn't have the best of games but won to improve to 7-4, with their wins leading the league, while Commerce slips under .500 at 2-3.

HP Field, Midland: The Predators have a quick turnaround in their long home stand, facing a hot Sharpshooters team playing a one-off road game. Chris failed to establish a swing on his turn, taking only 87 for Capital City to start the game with. Shawn countered with 431 for Midland, establishing their lead early in the game. Missy produced an alright score of 316 for the Sharpshooters, but she failed to cover the deficit with it. Rainmane broke her recent home slump with 582 for the Predators, extending their lead nicely halfway through the game. Sprinkles had a risky stretch for Capital City, holding on well until she calmed down and slipped at 297, again leaving the team in trouble. Leonardo couldn't do anything with a high-arcing ball, which knocked his wicket out to end his turn at 192 for Midland, who remain comfortably in charge. Nicole played a couple of bounces very cleanly, but couldn't stay in the game long enough, ending on 359 to give the Sharpshooters 1059 in the loss. Fuchsia is starting to struggle after a hot start, taking a measly 49 to put the Predators at 1254 in the narrow win. Both teams move to 5-3 after that chapter of the Executives Derby.

GE Stadium, Southridge: The Defenders are breaking out their third jerseys in an attempt to break the funk they've been in against a stumbling Tradewinds team. Tigerette unleashed 883 for Commerce on her turn, a surprisingly strong performance from the struggling captain to start this game. Southridge's rookie sensation Bianca replied by blasting 1120 to give the hosts a lead in an electric game. Ice Cream shrugged a ball off too high and had only 87 for the Tradewinds in the game, neutralizing their offense's effectiveness. Debby hit 283 for the Defenders, keeping their lead fairly steady. Lionel whacked 492 for Commerce, covering the deficit with his performance. Stephanie barely regained the lead for Southridge with a poor 90 point turn for the rookie, making it close for the final players to decide this game. Lorde fumbled the game away with only 33 for the Tradewinds, giving them 1495 and a very tiny sliver of a hope at snagging the win, but almost certainly giving them a loss. Hughbert tapped only 129, but he had the game clinched on the first swing to give the Defenders 1622 in total. Southridge improves to 3-6 with the third jerseys on, while Commerce is on equal footing at 2-4.

Audi Knights Pitch, Terrace City: The Knights look to finish a perfect opening home stand against a fellow expansion team, the Wolves, who are looking to keep their own good vibes going. Juno had a fairly average outing, leading the game off with 311 for Stonebridge. Kiwi slugged 1387 for Terrace City at the start, giving them a huge lead with another tremendous outing for the captain. Frosty felt the pressure to perform and failed to do so for the Wolves, taking a meager 60 points as their plight becomes more hopeless. Jennifer padded the Knights' lead with a reasonable 343 on her turn, keeping their lead very secure. Cobalt recovered some of the deficit for Stonebridge with his 480, a good effort from the rookie. Oreo creamed 748 for Terrace City on her turn, including a spectacular backhand she sent away with more pace than it arrived with. Prism put in very little effort with 133, leaving the Wolves with 984 in a brutal loss. Stripes iced the win with 368 points for the Knights individually, giving them a final of 2846. Terrace City is doing very well offensively, moving to 4-1 on the year, while Stonebridge slides to 3-4.

AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The Waves are home after a quick jaunt through the Southwest, facing the Tridents, who are out on their first road trip of the year, a three-game stretch. Precious struck 640 for Pronger at the start, a wonderful attack from the visiting captain. Snuggle kept Oceanside in the game with his 416 to lead their offense. Zach left the Tridents a bit vulnerable with only 188 on his turn, making the game a bit more interesting in the middle. Caitlin answered with 232 for the Waves, denting the deficit slightly just before the halfway mark. Spot helped Pronger pull away again to a safer margin for their lead, as he connected for 506 points on a solid outing. Celestia tried to rally with 337 for Oceanside, but she came up a bit short on energy to complete the comeback for now. Potter kept the Tridents going, belting 712 to give them a final of 2046 in what's likely to be a win. Dewey did well with 393 for the Waves, but they took the loss with 1378 due to previous offensive failings. Pronger looks like a new team this year, improving to 4-1 while bumping Oceanside down to 4-5.

Subway Field, Stonebridge: The Wolves return home for another Expansion Derby match, facing the struggling Meteors in the second of their five straight games on the road. Mams set the tone with a crisp 597 for Viewpoint Sound to open this game against their reeling hosts. Juno tried to settle on the backhand but pulled out of the save attempt too late and ended with only 217 for Stonebridge. Hoot crushed 1142 on his turn for the Meteors, reaffirming their very dominant position in this game. Frosty couldn't do anything to counterattack, scoring only 192 as the Wolves appear set for another demoralizing result. Nibbles tacked on 511 more for Viewpoint Sound, further extending their lead to almost guaranteed victory status. Cobalt's attempt at a backhand save went all wrong for the rookie, as he tried to time his swing and missed, ending on only 157 for Stonebridge. Dominic snagged another 300 for the Meteors, finishing their game at 2550 in what should be their first road win of the year. Prism had 160 for the Wolves, falling in line with the rest of her team, which collectively scored 726 in the loss. Viewpoint Sound is now 3-6 after the dominant win, dumping Stonebridge to 3-5.

BMW RockDome, Westside: Week 3 ends with a battle between elite teams, as the undefeated Rockers return home to face the balanced Prestige. Acorn was not in form in this appearance, having two false starts before scoring only 173 for Lighton. Misty countered with a massive 647 for Westside, establishing a large lead for the hosts with her effective turn. Spirit got it all back for the Prestige, swatting 663 on her turn to cover the deficit and keep the game interesting. Goatee took an optional replay after a technical error, and this allowed her to post 384 for the Rockers, restoring a lead. Twinkie I stumbled with 155 for Lighton, not really helping their cause very much. Midnight clobbered 529 for Westside on her turn, putting them farther ahead before the final players step up to bat. Salmo's 288 for the Prestige was a good effort, but they lost with 1279 in the end, unable to overcome a second deficit. Slinks was wild but effective on her turn, collecting 602 to ice the Rockers victory at 2162. Westside is now 7-0 for the year, while Lighton dips to 2-2 with the hard-fought battle.

GE Stadium, Southridge: The Navy Blue Derby, a battle across the Intercity highway between two big-name teams. Chris started with a modest 283 for Capital City, another somewhat low effort on the road from the team captain. Bianca answered with 458 for Southridge, giving them the initial lead against an always-dangerous opponent. Missy had some struggles with swinging too aggressively, but the Sharpshooters star recovered to take 384 and make the game interesting. Debby collapsed at 176 for the Defenders, leaving them a hair behind at the halfway mark of the game. Sprinkles appeared to find her sweet spot again, hammering 717 for Capital City to pad the lead. Stephanie froze under pressure for Southridge, as the rookie couldn't play a ball off the bounce and ended on 365 when the next offering wiped out her wicket, keeping the team in trouble. Nicole supplemented the Sharpshooters attack with 524 individually for 1908 overall, giving them a likely victory. Hughbert picked up 240 for the Defenders, and they lost with 1239 in total. Capital City jumps to 4-2 with the rivalry win, while Southridge is down to 2-5 after another lackluster effort.

Coca-Cola Field, Boston: The Swifts return home for the first of two such games, while the Arrows are finishing a four-game road trip in the Southeast. Sally slapped a quick 810 for Archtown to lead the game off, putting pressure on the hosts from the start. Patches made a dent in the deficit with 593 for Boston in response, setting a high-offense tone for the game. Sleepy B. had trouble maintaining the pace for the Arrows, taking 324 on her turn. Puff II carved deeper with 550 for the Swifts, making the game very close between the teams at its halfway point. Ruby regained a large lead for Archtown with 800 on her turn, continuing to frustrate the hosts. Gradley broke free of his home struggles to smash 965 for Boston, pulling them ahead once again with a player each to go. Dusky refused to go down without a fight, launching 856 to give the Arrows 2790 as their final score. Sweetheart had a solid outing with 416 for the Swifts, but they lost with 2524. Boston's home struggles continue to plague them, pushing their record to 3-3, while Archtown is also now even at 4-4.

Capital City SuperCenter, Capital City: The Sharpshooters are back home for a quick game against the Waves, who embark on a fast-paced three-game road trip. Snuggle couldn't keep control of his hits and fell with only 155 for Oceanside. Chris had a much different outing, lining 777 for Capital City to establish a wonderful lead. Caitlin fumbled her turn with only 67 for the Waves, making the hopes of a comeback much dimmer. Missy did alright for the Sharpshooters, shrugging her way to 200 points to keep the lead steady. Celestia got some back for Oceanside, snagging 287 in a mildly effective turn, but nothing game-changing for the rookie. Sprinkles went big with 791 for Capital City, likely securing the win with such a strong offensive output. Dewey tried to make a spike-save, but he was a split-second too late, and ended on 297, giving the Waves a loss with 806 in total. Nicole added 336 for the Sharpshooters, icing their win at 2104 in the dominant game. Capital City improves to 5-2 now, while Oceanside drops to 3-3.

Apple Park, Todavía: The Stills end their four-game home stand in this Coastal divisional, while the Volcanoes are on the road for the fifth of seven games in a row. Starlight had an early ending to her turn, scoring 264 as she hit a ball a bit too high. Easter showed a bit of fatigue for Todavía, claiming only 176 for the hosts on her turn as the game starts with low offense. Ms. Kitty had a bad appearance, taking a measly 117 for the Volcanoes, making this a very tight game so far. Sierra cranked out 793 to bust the game open favorably for the Stills, establishing quite a lead for them with the effort. Leonette fired back with 747 for Pacific, covering the deficit by a slim margin. Sparkles had a dud for Todavía, taking a meager 96 after a bad bounce caught her out of position, and they'll have to come from behind if they want this game. Chicky Phil tacked on 285 to put the Volcanoes at 1413 overall, still within reach of the hosts on their last turn. Bells proved strong enough for the Stills, rallying with 591 to snag the win for the team on a total of 1656. Todavía goes to 5-4 on the year, and 2-0 in the division, while Pacific is 4-4 with a division record of 0-1.

UPS Ground, Maplewood: The Lumberjacks are looking for revenge against the Defenders, who beat them earlier in the season back in Southridge. Bianca got Southridge off to a spectacular start, hammering 535 on her opening turn to establish the lead. Fluffina answered with 447 for Maplewood, keeping the game close at the start. Debby lost a bit of ground for the Defenders, accidentally striking a ball into her own wicket to end her turn at 290. Diddley recovered the deficit with 639 for the Lumberjacks, giving them the lead at the halfway mark of the game. Stephanie grabbed 392 for Southridge, covering the deficit but not by much against the hard-charging hosts. Bryant's 217 for Maplewood weakened their lead ahead of the final players' turns. Hughbert choked at the end, scoring a measly 39 to give the Defenders 1256 in the loss. Waluigi went for 551 for the Lumberjacks, icing their win at 1854 in total. Maplewood improves to 2-2, while Southridge's busy schedule has seen them go 2-6.

Sprint Pitch, Victoria: Out west, the Spurs challenge a traveling Waves team, with both teams looking to nose their way above .500. Snuggle managed a paltry 225 for Oceanside to begin the game with, which probably won't hold up for very long. Spice had a weak 66 for Victoria, meaning both captains suffered poor outings in this game. Caitlin got stopped with an unfortunate bounce, cutting her off at 239 for the Waves as they maintain a very tenuous lead. Yekaterina hauled in 405 for the Spurs, giving them the slightest lead at the midway point of the game. Celestia gave Oceanside a bit of a boost in their output, poking 368 to put them ahead for now. B. Chapman matched it exactly with 368 of her own for Victoria, leaving them teams separated by just seven points with a player each to go. Dewey put the team on his back with 903 for the Waves, as the rookie carried them to a final score of 1735 and quite the challenge for his opposite to match. Wario made a good effort to meet the challenge, but fell short with 536, giving the Spurs only 1375 in the loss. Oceanside's win sees them to 4-3, dumping Victoria to 3-4 in the process.

Coca-Cola Field, Boston: A Southeast divisional game awaits here as the stumbling Swifts are home again to face the Flames, who head out on a short road trip. Crystal was locked in from the start, pounding 904 for Queens as she routinely hit her target spot on the field with powerful swings. Patches replied with a massive 1058 for Boston, giving them the lead in a high-octane start to the game. Paige chipped 240 for the Flames, covering the deficit but leaving them highly vulnerable long-term. Puff II was neutralized with multiple unlucky bounces ending her turn very early with only 28 points added to the Swifts' score. Violetta countered with 570 for Queens, keeping them in strong control of the game with her emphatic effort. Gradley missed a backhand attempt for Boston to end with 304, leaving plenty of work for the hosts to get back into the game. Max didn't ice the game well at all, hitting 133 to give the Flames a final of 1847, very much in range of being surpassed. Sweetheart was unable to recover with an errant backhand hit giving her 48, and leaving the Swifts short at 1438. Queens jumps to 3-3, while Boston's winless start at home has them at 3-4.

Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: The Waves end their road trip against a very strong Torpedoes team looking to overcome their first loss of the year as they finish a three-game home stand. Snuggle had a far too aggressive swing to end his turn very early, scoring just 21 for Oceanside. Smudge clubbed 627 for Infinity, giving them a very large lead initially. Caitlin struggled a bit on her turn as well, scoring 247 as the Waves continue to lack offense consistently. Solaris countered with 391 for the Torpedoes, adding a sufficient amount to their lead. Celestia staved off danger to pile up 481 for Oceanside, but they are still trailing in the game. Whiskers was nearly overwhelmed on her turn, but settled a ball with a couple of backhand taps and lasted to score 270 to keep Infinity in control. Dewey failed to recapture the magic from his last game, taking just 185 as the Waves lost with 934. Mr. Snowman iced the Torpedoes win with an individual 312 for a total of 1600 even. Infinity is 5-1 on the year, while Oceanside's road trip was cruel to them, sending them down to 4-4.

Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: The Crowns end their opening home stand against a Union team in the middle of three straight road games. Ms. Puppy carved up the hosts' bowling to the tune of 550 for Modernistic to open the game. Nightfur's pitifully slow start to the season continued with just 28 for Royal in this appearance. Daisy flicked 257 for the Union, keeping them well ahead in the game. Jake picked up 328 for the Crowns, gaining a little bit of ground at the halfway mark despite a still-steep deficit. Puff I tapped 313 for Modernistic, basically cancelling out the previous counterattack. Kayla continued to be the engine for Royal, stunning the visiting team as she drilled 1603 to pull the hosts far ahead late in the game. Strawberry put up a good fight with 472 for the Union, but they would ultimately fall with a total of 1592. Hannah provided 375 for the Crowns, giving them a final of 2334 in a thorough win. Royal can thank Kayla for making the impact this time, sending them to 2-1 on the year, while Modernistic falls to 1-4 as the new pieces of the team fail to click together well.

Cisco Tysini Field, Tysini: The Hummingbirds kick off their initial home stand of the year, a five-game stint, against the Flames, who are ending their short road trip. Crystal went off again for Queens, collecting 743 to stake out another strong lead at the start of this game. Princess got a large portion of that attack back, smacking 614 for Tysini on her turn to keep things close at the start. Paige answered with 373 to re-up the Flames lead in a fairly solid outing for the veteran. Leandra didn't have a good pace to her turn, and this cost her when she ended at 256, allowing the deficit to grow a bit more for the Hummingbirds. Violetta swatted another 600 for Queens, as the rookie's hot start has helped solidify another lead. Charli flubbed her turn with 248 for Tysini, likely dooming them to another loss early in the year. Max served another 666 for the Flames, icing their prospective win at 2382. Brownie went with 535 for the Hummingbirds, playing well despite their loss at a total of 1653. Queens continues to play fairly well at 4-3, while Tysini's struggles are becoming well-documented with their fall to 1-3.

Starbucks Cup, Archtown: These two Northeastern rivals square off in a division game to get a boost up the standings. Fluffina broke out of her road slump to slam 705 for Maplewood at the start of this game, a good attack from the captain. Sally got beat by a couple of bounces on her turn for Archtown, ending with 257 as the hosts will play from behind. Diddley rocked another 696 for the Lumberjacks, as they begin to run away with this game. Sleepy B. is continuing to struggle at home, taking only 113 as the Arrows appear overwhelmed this game. Bryant picked up 359 for Maplewood, padding their lead nicely as they continue to dominate this battle. Ruby faltered with 204 for Archtown, making a comeback even more unlikely. Waluigi was far from graceful in scoring 132 for the Lumberjacks, but his input gave them a final of 1892 in what should be a fairly certain victory. Dusky's 416 helped the Arrows look slightly more respectable in the loss, in which they finished with 990. Maplewood's first division win of the year takes them to 3-2, while Archtown is 4-5 with an 0-2 division record.

Nestle's Warriors Park, Central: The segment ends with the Warriors squaring off with a struggling Union team that's deep in their travels. Ms. Puppy started the game with 353 for Modernistic, a solid outing for the captain. Twilight slugged 1173 for Central to give them a massive lead in their home opener. Daisy swung for 319 for the Union, recovering some of the offense that they lost previously. Dustin kept the Warriors in good shape, supplementing their lead with a modest 271 to keep things steady at the halfway mark. Puff I sliced a fairly solid 385 for Modernistic, keeping them in the hunt for the game but still unable to cover the deficit. Mario countered with 328 for Central, sustaining their lead once again. Strawberry had only 149 for the Union, and they lost with 1206 against a potent offense from the hosts. Gizmo iced the game with a weak 90 himself for 1862 in total, sending the Warriors to an unchallenged win. Central is 3-0 so far, while Modernistic falls to 1-5.

Blades Fusion ProGlide Park, Swordpoint: The Blades face off with an upstart Specters team looking to make an impact in the first game of their five-game road trip. Sydney did well with 456 for Harrison to open the game on a high note. Snowball answered with 320, as Swordpoint starts their home opener slightly behind. Twinkie II had a bit of an unlucky turn for the Specters, ending on 268 after the offerings became less friendly. Dreamy tried and failed to pick a corner on her turn, ending abruptly with 128 as the Blades lose a bit more ground. The scoring continued to drop rapidly with Lexi serving up only 90 for Harrison in a poor appearance. Swordpoint's Bandit took advantage of the chance to pull his team ahead, ripping 506 to create a late lead. Sugar supplied 301 for the Specters, giving them 1115 in total in a weak offensive outing. Samsung Whitewater Stadium, Whitewater: The Shores end their lengthy break with the second of three straight home games, facing the league-leading Rockers. Misty led off with 800 for Westside, a dream start for the high-flying visitors. Bear stumbled a bit on his turn, taking only 216 for Whitewater as they'll start from way behind. Goatee had a poor turn, scoring a weak 113 for the Rockers as the strength of their lead will be tested going forward. Twinkie III smashed 773 for the Shores, giving them a slight lead at the halfway mark. Midnight shot back with 573 for Westside, restoring a lead for the team. Marsell had a bad swing end his turn early at a measly 16 for Whitewater, crushing their chances of a second comeback. Slinks tried to pull a ball back from the wicket, but in doing so, she went out of position and ended with 122, giving the Rockers a total of 1608. Shaggy fell in step with the rest of the Shores, hitting only 87 as they lost with 1092 overall. Westside remains undefeated at 6-0, while Whitewater drops to 1-1 after the Urban Division loss.

Apple Park, Todavía: The Stills host the Wolves for the first time, marking the first game in a back-to-back for the visitors. Juno had a decent performance for Stonebridge, collecting 415 to pace their early attack. Easter belted 970 for Todavía in response, establishing a significant lead for the hosts. Frosty refused to let the Wolves go easily into the night, unleashing 704 herself to make it a competitive game. Sierra batted 554 for the Stills, maintaining their lead but letting it slip slightly midway through the game. Cobalt barely covered the deficit for Stonebridge with his 449, weakening their attempt at a comeback. Sparkles staved off the attack with 463 for Todavía, putting them in a good position to win. Prism played an excellent turn for the Wolves, assembling 543 to give the visitors 2111 overall, forcing a response from the hosts on the final player's turn. Bells blew the game away for the Stills, hitting only 46 as they fell with 2033 total. Stonebridge was rewarded for the gutsy offensive outburst, going to 2-3 while passing the 2-4 Todavía team showing signs of fatigue.

Subway Field, Stonebridge: The Wolves trek all the way across the UPCL map to welcome the Defenders, with this game leaving one team ahead of the other, guaranteed. Bianca needed some time to round into form, but she was able to hang on long enough to score 501 for Southridge. Juno replied with 327 for Stonebridge, keeping them somewhat close early in the game. Debby made one big backhand save on her turn for the Defenders, but couldn't corral the next ball and took 563 to extend their lead. Frosty continues to struggle for the Wolves, taking a meager 63 on this appearance. Stephanie was buried very near the start, tapping multiple saves to keep the wicket standing but also failing to score, and she went down with 31 for Southridge. Cobalt cut the deficit well with 644 for Stonebridge, featuring a handful of spectacular saves and combination plays for the rookie. Hughbert stumbled a bit with 222 for the Defenders, leaving them at 1317 overall. Prism crushed 1290 for the Wolves to definitively secure the win at 2324 in total. Stonebridge is now back to even at 3-3 after the slow start, and Southridge got bumped back to 2-4.

Volkswagen Stadium, Viewpoint Sound: The Meteors wrap up their four-game home stand against the defending champions. Patches was too slow to readjust herself after selling out for a hit, and ended on 341 for Boston to lead things off. Mams picked up 177 in response for Viewpoint Sound, a mild effort from the captain. Puff II had a well-paced attack going but swung at a bad angle and fell with 147, destabilizing the Swifts lead. Hoot had a few bounces go favorably, but not enough, as his 138 saw the Meteors slip slightly farther behind at the halfway mark. Gradley continued his steady contributions in the middle of Boston's lineup, adding 503 this time to pad the lead significantly. Nibbles never totally recovered from a blazing offering he managed to stop, settling in at a low pace and taking 207 for Viewpoint Sound as they'll need a big comeback. Sweetheart made it all the tougher, as her crisp 611 provided the Swifts more veteran stability as they finished with 1602. Dominic also seemed to get a bit unlucky for the Meteors, and his 158 led them to a steep loss on 680 total. Boston has moved north of even at 3-2, while Viewpoint Sound is down to 2-5.

Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: The Torpedoes continue their first home stand with the hopes of staying undefeated against the expansion Nighthawks, who play the third of ten straight road games. Peach was well on her way to another punishing turn when a deflection stopped her at 202 for North Modernistic. Smudge was relentless on offense for Infinity, supplying 548 points to stake out a solid lead. Luigi tried to keep a big turn going, but fell at 176 for the Nighthawks, steepening their deficit. Solaris belted 868 for the Torpedoes, strengthening their lead quite a bit halfway through the game. Cheddar recovered most of the deficit with 984 for North Modernistic, making it a close game once more. Whiskers had a bad double-hit on her turn, ending very quickly at 36 as Infinity's lead has evaporated with a player each to go. Bright took 183 for the Nighthawks, forcing a response from the hosts as they end with 1545. Mr. Snowman completed the collapse for the Torpedoes, ramping a ball straight into his wicket to give himself 56 and his team a final of 1508. North Modernistic escaped danger with a win to go to 2-1, while Infinity is at 4-1.

Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: These two teams have played few games so far, making for a fairly uncertain meeting. Princess looked more composed than she has all season in this game, working her way to 584 for Tysini to establish a big first attack. Nightfur's poor start continued with only 30 for Royal this time. Leandra piled on with another 719 for the Hummingbirds, boosting their lead quite well in the early parts of the game. Jake batted 423 for the Crowns on his turn, giving them a more respectable output. Charli faltered a bit with 229 for Tysini, but they are still far ahead in the game. Kayla collected 624 for Royal, cutting deeply into the deficit before the final players take their turns for each team. Brownie's 171 for the Hummingbirds brought the team to a total of 1703, which should be enough to win. Hannah showed well with 397 for the Crowns, but they fell short with a final of 1474 in the competitive loss. Tysini is 1-2 on the year as they conclude their first road trip, while Royal is down to 1-1.

Sally had to stop with 599 after a technical error, but she accepted the score to pace Archtown well from the start after her strong performance. Bear went for 363 for Whitewater, keeping his team in range early on despite the average effort. Sleepy B. shot back with 602 for the Arrows, doubling their offense. Twinkie III couldn't get much back with 290 for the Shores, as they currently trail heavily. Ruby kept the good times going for Archtown, cranking out 611 on her turn to extend the lead again. Marsell did practically nothing for Whitewater, adding a measly 25 to their score. Dusky had only 149 for the Arrows, but it should be plenty as they finish with 1961 in total, a likely victory. Shaggy was forced into a backhand flick for the Shores, which failed, and they lost as her 359 put the team at 1037. The Arrows are now 3-3 after the impressive win, sending the Shores down to 1-2.

Apple Park, Todavía: Out on the coast, the Sharks seek their first win against a Stills team primed to face fatigue throughout the week. Chelsea tried to assemble a good game, but struggles pinned her down at 190 for Eastside's opening turn. Easter had slightly stronger command in her turn for Todavía, earning 320 to put them in the lead at the start. Taylor improved for the Sharks, slicing her way to 360 to regain at least a temporary lead. Sierra exploded for 1336 for the Stills, working with a bit less pace but very good contact rates as she kept the pitch clean in front of her. Niki countered with 711 for Eastside, but they remain far behind in the game. Sparkles crushed 1507 for Todavía on her turn, likely securing the game with ease for the hosts. Paps could barely contain his play, ending at 256 for the Sharks as they lose the game on a total of 1517. Bells had only 171 for the Stills, but they closed with 3334 in a massive win. Todavía's first home win of the year sees them to 3-4 overall, while Eastside seeks a win still at 0-6.

The Intel Pitch, Diamond: The Meteors kick off a five-game road trip in the Eastern Hills against an inconsistent Gems team. Mams had a very strong first attack for Viewpoint Sound, striking 607 to establish a decent lead. Smokey broke out of his slump a bit with 319 for Diamond, halving the deficit. Hoot slapped 474 for the Meteors on his turn, boosting their lead as the game hurtles toward halfway. Citrus made things interesting, cranking out 894 for the Gems to give them the lead midway through the game with the pinpoint performance. Nibbles barely covered the deficit with 208 for Viewpoint Sound, leaving them in a precarious position. Pedey covered that with 248 for Diamond, giving his team the upper hand as the final players come to bat. Dominic put up 268 for the Meteors, forcing the hosts to respond as the visitors end with 1557 overall. Rosalina pummeled 595 for the Gems, securing the win at 2056 without much doubt. Diamond gets another win to move to 2-3 overall, while Viewpoint Sound slips to 2-6, a poor but busy start to the season.

Apple Park, Todavía: The Sharpshooters venture on the road for the first time, opposing the Stills in the third of their four-game home stand. Chris got caught on an early swing as the last offering he touched came in slow and he sent it out of play, giving Capital City a small 131 to lead off with. Easter answered with 353 for Todavía, only stopping due to an odd bounce that ended her turn abruptly. Missy faltered at 209 for the Sharpshooters, failing to cover the deficit as the game has become that much harder for the visitors. Sierra got caught up with a bounce and knocked a ball backward out of play, ending on 228 for the Stills as their lead remains marginal at best. Sprinkles set a much different tone with 742 for Capital City, giving them the lead in confident form with her excellent appearance. Sparkles picked a bad time for her worst game of the year, hitting a meager 128 as Todavía's fatigue appears to be setting in. Nicole left the door open with only 72 for the Sharpshooters, ending their attack at 1154 total. Bells rallied with 592 for the Stills, giving them the win with 1301 as they had to come back from way behind. Todavía is up to 4-4 on the year, while Capital City's first game away from home knocked them back to 3-2.

Henry Ford Memorial Field, Pronger: The segment ends in the Eastern Hills, with both teams look to jockey along the even mark. Sally continued a fairly even start to the season, batting 469 for Archtown to get the game going. Precious put Pronger just slightly in the lead early on with her 480 for the hosts. Sleepy B. had a major misstep to end her turn at 162 for the Arrows, leaving them vulnerable. Zach stepped up with 490 for the Tridents in this game, boosting their lead at the halfway point. Ruby scooped only 240 for Archtown on her turn, putting the visitors in quite the hole late in the game. Spot looked like a star in his performance for Pronger, ripping 1190 to cement their lead in all reality. Dusky went on a tear to try to get the Arrows back in the game, hauling in 879 to put them at 1750 in what remained a loss. Potter tacked on 439 more for the Tridents, giving them 2599 in the confident win. Pronger has exploded for points to get to 2-1, while Archtown's down to 3-4 for the season.
