Tournament X - Bracket Semifinals Day 7

Toyota Arena, Freedom: Andrew v. Maison. Young players clash in Rotation with the blue cue to kick things off. Freedom's Andrew battled back-and-forth with Eastside's Maison in game 1. Maison had the late edge, but couldn't maintain it, and Andrew won 8-6 for the 1-0 series lead. In game 2, the Sharks' Maison found a four-ball run to establish his lead. The Cascades' Andrew made a late push-back, but Maison held on for an 8-4 win to tie the series at 1. Maison made a large push in game 3, taking the lead on a three-ball run, but it wasn't enough. Andrew responded with a three-ball run-out for the 8-7 win, regaining his series lead at 2-1. Andrew struggled with his command in game 4, taking an early lead but letting it slip away at the end. Maison buried a four-ball run-out to earn the 8-3 win that retied the series at 2. Despite some frustrations in game 5, Andrew was able to take the lead on a short run. Maison tried to counterattack and mishit his shot, allowing Andrew to walk away with an 8-4 win and 3-2 series win. Andrew is set to host North Modernistic Nighthawks captain Peach in the bracket finals. Andrew has three kills this year, and Maison is the 93rd player out. The Sharks are also now the third team out.

Starbucks Arena, Archtown: Sally v. Starlight. The blue cue stays active between captains in Accuracy. A close battle in game 1 tipped in favor of Pacific's Starlight as she locked down a 1-2 win over Archtown's Sally with smart plays late. Starlight leads the series 1-0. The Volcanoes' Starlight slipped up a couple of times late in game 2, and the Arrows' Sally held the line at perfection for a 0-2 win to tie the series at 1. Both players took a massive step back in game 3, but it seemed to affect Starlight a little bit more. Sally was able to hang on through a tough finish for the 3-5 win, pulling ahead 2-1 in the series. Starlight couldn't keep herself on track in game 4, struggling again as things got tight near the end. Sally staved off some late danger for another 3-5 win to seal the series at 3-1. Game 5 got out of hand on both sides, and when it ended tied after regulation, Sally elected to forfeit, settling for a 3-2 series win with a 6-6 final score. Sally won the series 3-2 to get into the bracket finals.

Starbucks Arena, Archtown: Hoppy v. Marissa. Northeastern rivals end a venue doubleheader in 7-ball with the silver cue. Archtown's Hoppy made an early pair in game 1, and added another pair with a 3-7 combination finish to the top left after Maplewood's Marissa couldn't find a successful shot. Hoppy leads the series 1-0. The Arrows' Hoppy took time to struggle in game 2, while the Lumberjacks' Marissa got on track with a three-ball run. Marissa added a pair at the end for the win to tie the series at 1. Marissa again controlled the offense, but she faltered late with hard shots rattling out of pockets. Hoppy didn't have much offense, but she struck the 7 on her first try to get the win, regaining the series lead at 2-1. Nothing went to plan in game 4, but Hoppy won in two shots. She made the 4 on the break with a fortunate bounce, then caromed the 1 off the 3 to the bottom left while the 7 was clipped into the top left for a double-pot. Marissa could only watch as Hoppy clinched the series at 3-1. Hoppy finished off her 4-1 series win by sinking the 7 on the break to the top side, with the 5 also falling in the bottom left late. Hoppy will host the Victoria Spurs' Sage in the bracket finals.

Intel Center, Diamond: Shadow v. Jake. This series of 9-ball with the blue cue brings us to 5,000 games played in the Tournament. Diamond's Shadow paced the offense early in game 1, but neither player looked very good at the end. Shadow made the 9 on his second try to take a 1-0 series lead over Royal's Jake. The Gems' Shadow showed a little more power with a five-ball run in game 2, but he missed the 9 badly at the bottom left. The Crowns' Jake connected on it for the win, tying the series at 1. Shadow had a shot that left the 9 near the top left in game 3. He didn't benefit from it, as Jake left him few good positions. Jake eventually grabbed the win with a deflection off the 5 to sink the 9 for a 2-1 series lead. Game 4 saw Jake get nothing on a good break. Shadow had some moments on offense, but Jake was able to kick into a 3-9 bank combination to the bottom side for the win that secured the series at 3-1. Shadow got a bit of redemption with a strong finish in game 5, shutting off Jake for late shots. Jake still won the series 3-2 and will head to the bracket finals. Jake got his first kill of the year and Shadow is the 94th eliminated player.

Toyota Arena, Freedom: Andrew v. Missy. The host's second series of the day uses the purple cue in 9-ball. Freedom's Andrew tried to play a hard-hitting style in game 1, but a late scratch made that backfire. Capital City's Missy got away with a scratch and made the final pair of shots for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Cascades' Andrew stepped up with a four-ball run in game 2, but his miss on the 8 was a critical failure. The Sharpshooters' Missy responded with a pair for the win, going up 2-0 in the series. Missy found her groove in game 3, again allowing Andrew to handle most of the offense as she waited to strike. Missy would clinch the series at 3-0 with a deflection off the 5 to pot the 9 at the top left. Andrew still couldn't find a win in game 4 despite a positive start. Missy made the last four balls over two turns, as Andrew couldn't corral the 9 she left near the bottom side. Missy's series lead now stands at 4-0. Andrew's best chance at a win came in game 5, when he took a three-ball run onto the 9. He rattled it out of the top left, and Missy was there to collect it for the win and 5-0 series sweep. Missy is set to visit the Todavía Stills captain Easter in the bracket finals.

Pepsi Arena, Lighton: Spirit v. Neopolitan. The silver cue cycles in for a 15-ball series. Game 1 started out alright but turned into a mess in the middle. Lighton's Spirit broke out with a four-ball run and had a chance on the 15 on the next turn, but she scratched as she made it. Pearl's Neopolitan took the gifted win for a 1-0 series lead. The Prestige's Spirit turned up the heat on offense in game 2, making three runs of three or more balls, but it all went to waste when she missed on the 14. The Surfers' Neopolitan potted the final pair for the win to go up 2-0 in the series. Neopolitan actually had her best offensive performance in game 3, making six of the last seven balls over two turns, but she whiffed badly on the 15. Spirit was there to put it away at the bottom left for the win, cutting the deficit to 2-1. Spirit survived again in game 4 despite a much closer battle, tying the series at 2 with a close win over Neopolitan. Spirit held on one more time in game 5, as Neopolitan had some threatening shots late. Spirit made a pair in the end for the win, taking the series 3-2 and earning the right to host the bracket finals. Spirit joined the kills lead with five and Neopolitan is the 95th player to exit the Tournament.

Nestle's Warriors Hall, Central: Noelle v. Snuggle. The red cue's lone outing today is in 13-ball. Central's Noelle had control early in game 1, but it faded near the end. Oceanside's Snuggle picked up the slack with four balls over his last two turns to get the win for a 1-0 series lead. The Warriors' Noelle played efficiently from behind in game 2, forming an effective comeback after the Waves' Snuggle couldn't find a shot at the top side. Noelle rallied for the win to tie the series at 1. Snuggle didn't make a ball in game 3, but he baited the 8 near the top side and Noelle took an ill-fated attempt to clear it away. Noelle sank the 8 illegally, gifting Snuggle the win and 2-1 series lead. Snuggle held the lead early in game 4, but again failed to corral his final ball. Noelle rallied from behind again for the five-ball run-out and a win, tying the series at 2. Noelle made one of each on the break, but a pair of scratches killed her momentum late. Snuggle pulled back with a steady effort for the win and 3-2 series win. Snuggle will visit Tysini Hummingbirds newcomer Sugar in the bracket finals.

T-Mobile Center, Victoria: Spice v. Fuchsia. The purple cue finishes its day in 15-ball with Southwestern rivals battling. Victoria's Spice got off to a solid start with a four-ball run from the break. Infinity's Fuchsia fought back enough for the win, taking the 6-15 combination to the bottom left. Fuchsia leads the series 1-0. The Torpedoes' Fuchsia had four-ball runs near the start and the end of game 2. This set the tone offensively, and the Spurs' Spice was left to pick up scrap offense. Fuchsia would send the 15 to the top right for the win, going up 2-0 in the series. Fuchsia started well again in game 3, but finally faltered on pace near the end. Spice was able to snag the win with a 14-15 combination to the top side to cut the deficit to 2-1. Fuchsia charged with a four-ball run after the halfway mark of game 4. She lost momentum by missing on the 12, and Spice eventually replied with a three-ball run-out for the win to tie the series at 2. Fuchsia had some heavy shots in game 5, making it a choppy experience for her. Spice was a bit more composed, but she was also flat-out lucky that the 15 caromed into the bottom side after an awful initial shot. Spice won the series 3-2 and will host Hoppy of the Archtown Arrows in the bracket finals.

Mercedes-Benz Forum, Harrison: Dewey v. Sunshine. Another 15-ball series brings the silver cue to its exit today. Harrison's Dewey managed some early offense, but Royal's Sunshine stood out with a four-ball run. The end was a close battle that Sunshine just barely won for a 1-0 series lead. The Crowns' Sunshine took advantage of an opportunity early in game 2, burying a 3-7-15 combination to the top left for the win and 2-0 series lead after the Specters' Dewey left it lined up. Sunshine didn't let Dewey see the table in game 3. Sunshine made the 10 to the bottom left on the break, then sent the 1 there as well with a deflection to sink the 15 at the top side for a game-winning double-pot. Sunshine secured the series at 3-0. Dewey looked at his best in game 4, bringing energy and a late four-ball run that stalled with missed contact on the 15. Sunshine gladly took the ball-in-hand for the free win, moving up to a 4-0 series lead. Sunshine didn't have magic on his side in game 5, laboring through some tough shots. Dewey avoided the sweep with a 6-15 combination to the top left, leaving Sunshine to advance on a 4-1 series win. Sunshine will visit the Lighton Prestige's Spirit in the bracket finals. Sunshine's first career kill made Dewey the 96th eliminated player. The Specters are the fourth eliminated team as well.

Toyota Arena, Freedom: Nikolai v. Hershey. The blue cue ends the day between club-mates and Eastern Hills rivals in 7-ball. Freedom's Nikolai handled most of the offense in game 1, including a four-ball run and the 7 on the next turn. Nikolai leads Stonebridge's Hershey 1-0 in the series. The Cascades' Nikolai faltered a bit in game 2, and the Wolves' Hershey capitalized on it. Hershey delivered a three-ball run-out at the end for the win, pulling even at 1 game each in the series. In game 3, Nikolai managed a four-ball run, but that ended with a scratch. The ill-timed error opened the door for Hershey to win with a pair of shots, putting the visitor ahead 2-1 in the series. Hershey locked up the series on the game 4 break, sending the 4 to the bottom left, the 6 to the top left, and the 7 to the bottom side on an explosive break to clinch the series at 3-1. Hershey kept up the offense late in game 5 just for fun, recovering from his early scratch as Nikolai failed to attack well enough. Hershey won the series 4-1 and will play in the bracket finals. Hershey had his second kill of the year to make Nikolai the 97th player eliminated.

Tournament X - Bracket Semifinals Day 6

The latest action in the Tournament is here, beginning with...

Cisco Arena, Tysini: Sarah v. Angelica. Southwestern hotshots battle in 15-ball with the red cue to start the day. Lighton's Angelica ripped a four-ball run-out at the end of a fast game 1 to get the win and 1-0 series lead over Tysini's Sarah. The Prestige's Angelica remained strong in game 2, but she wasn't sharp enough at the end. The Hummingbirds' Sarah grabbed the win with a pair of shots, tying the series at 1. Angelica had a massive surge with runs of five and three balls in game 3, but she missed the 15 on a bank toward the top left. Sarah was there to poach the win with a slight cut, going ahead 2-1 in the series. Angelica tried to make a counterattack in game 4, but Sarah sank four of the last five balls to earn the win, clinching the series at 3-1 in the process. Sarah showed no mercy in game 5, working a six-ball run-out from the break with the finishing touch on a 4-15 combination to the top left. Sarah beat Angelica 4-1 in the series and will go on to host Central Warriors star Noelle in the bracket finals. Sarah reset the kills pace with five, making Angelica the 87th eliminated player this year.

Pepsi Arena, Lighton: Spirit v. Steven. The green cue activates for this Accuracy series. A close battle in game 1 eventually tipped to Lighton's Spirit as Atlantic's Steven hit the skids late in the game. Spirit held her ground well for a 3-6 win that gave her a 1-0 series lead. The Pirates' Steven improved his effort in game 2, but the Prestige's Spirit was also stronger on offense. Spirit held a strict line and earned the win 1-3 to push her series lead to 2-0. Steven kept things even closer initially in game 3, but Spirit fought him off again at the end. Spirit was good to grab a 1-3 win, sealing the series at 3-0. Steven had a chance to take the early lead in game 4, but Spirit was unrelenting later on, picking up a 3-5 win when Steven slipped behind. Spirit's series lead stands at 4-0. Spirit finally faltered in game 5, her weaker play leading to Steven's lone win in the series by a 2-4 score. Spirit advanced to the bracket finals on a 4-1 series win, and she'll host Modernistic Union rookie Maggie in the next round. Spirit's fourth kill of the year made Steven the 88th player out of the Tournament.

Amazon Field Exhibition Hall, Golden: Max v. Rosemary. The red cue exits the day with an 8-ball series. Commerce's Rosemary butchered her lead in game 1, scratching late to allow Golden's Max to make a comeback. Max obliged, albeit slowly, to earn the win for a 1-0 series lead. The Tradewinds' Rosemary didn't make the same mistake twice, succeeding in game 2 with a pair of four-ball runs for the win. The Pilots' Max made just a single ball as Rosemary tied the series at 1. Rosemary's offense remained strong in game 3, as Max got the early lead but had no answer after that. Rosemary made seven balls over her last two turns for the win, going ahead 2-1 in the series. Max put up a good fight with his series on the line in game 4, but Rosemary again adjusted with a little defense after a four-ball run. Rosemary took the 8 on the next turn for the win, securing the series at 3-1. Rosemary tried to play at a high pace again in game 5, but Max picked up the win this time after making seven balls over three turns. Rosemary advanced on a 3-2 series win to earn the road position in her bracket finals outing.

Nestle's Warriors Hall, Central: Twilight v. Bianca. The purple cue takes a turn in 13-ball. Both players brought quality on offense, with Central's Twilight staying just a step ahead of Southridge's Bianca in game 1. Twilight made a pair at the end after Bianca's positioning play at the bottom side wasn't enough. Twilight leads the series 1-0. The Warriors' Twilight took solids on the break in game 2, but that didn't yield much early success. The Defenders' Bianca did quite well before Twilight fired back on a four-ball run-out for the win. Twilight's series lead is now 2-0. Twilight had two solids and a stripe on the game 3 break, but Bianca locked in with strong defense to prevent much from happening. Twilight couldn't get around Bianca, as the visitor earned her first win to cut the series to 2-1. In game 4, Bianca made a pair on her break, but she couldn't get things under control after that. Twilight took over the offense, slowly working her way to the win to clinch the series at 3-1. Twilight took over late in game 5 as well, pushing herself to a 4-1 series win as Bianca failed to keep up. Twilight is ready to visit the Commerce Tradewinds' Niki in the bracket finals.

Intel Center, Diamond: Debby v. Peach. Celebrity club-mates clash in Rotation with the blue cue. Diamond's Debby was hot out of the gate in game 1, but she didn't have enough staying power. North Modernistic's Peach battled back and earned the win with a three-ball run-out for an 8-7 score. Peach leads the series 1-0. The Gems' Debby took a little longer to get the lead in game 2, but she didn't let it slip away this time. The Nighthawks' Peach couldn't really answer Debby's four-ball run in the middle of the game, and Debby went on to win 8-3 to tie the series at 1. Debby turned back to early offense to stake out a lead in game 3, but Peach made sure it wouldn't matter as she built a slow comeback. Peach eventually picked up a pair at the end after Debby missed on the 13, and Peach won the game 8-7 for a 2-1 series lead. Peach was the one with a fairly large lead to begin game 4, but she couldn't make it stand when Debby rallied to make six of the last seven balls for an 8-6 win. The series is tied once again at 2. Debby and Peach battled closely throughout game 5, with Peach maintaining an advantage at the end for an 8-6 win and 3-2 series win. Peach is set to be the visitor in her bracket finals appearance. Peach's first kill of the season made Debby the 89th eliminated player.

Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: Boots v. Chimpy. The green cue cycles in for a 10-ball set. Pearl's Boots was very clean in game 1, while Westside's Chimpy couldn't find many clear shots. Boots ended up with a three-ball run-out from ball-in-hand after Chimpy fouled on the 8. Boots leads the series 1-0. The Surfers' Boots started well again in game 2, but the Rockers' Chimpy had a five-ball run in the middle to get himself moving. Boots countered a bit, but Chimpy made the 10 to the top left for the win to tie the series at 1. The pace remained high to start game 3, but after Chimpy's late run, the 10 proved hard to pot. Boots had a few attempts at it before Chimpy finally put it away for the win and 2-1 series lead. Chimpy lacked the same control he had before, slipping up with frequency in game 4. At the end, Boots stepped in to make the 10 to the bottom left for the win, retying the series at 2. Game 5 looked like it was going to be choppy as well, but Boots found a long-range 4-5-10 combination to the bottom left for the win and 3-2 series win over Chimpy. Boots will visit the Southern Monarchs' Dominic in the bracket finals. With Chimpy's exit, only 90 players remain as he is the 90th eliminated. Boots has her first kill. It was also the second team-kill, as the Rockers are done.

Audi Hall, Terrace City: Melissa v. Diddley. The blue cue is done for the day after this 13-ball series. Terrace City's Melissa had a four-ball run to start game 1, and that paced her to a nice advantage. Maplewood's Diddley made it close, but Melissa put the 8 in the bottom left for the win in time to take a 1-0 series lead. The Lumberjacks' Diddley made a rookie mistake by overfilling the bottom right in a close game 2 battle. The Knights' Melissa punished it well to grab the win, going ahead 2-0 in the series. Melissa made three solids on the break, but only two were legal. Diddley used a six-ball run on his second turn to grab the lead. Diddley then sank the 8 to the top left on the next turn for the win, cutting Melissa's series lead to 2-1. Diddley went on a four-ball run to get onto the 8 in game 4, but he had a nervy finish anyway. Melissa made four balls over two turns to also get onto the 8 before missing on a glancing kick attempt. Diddley buried the winning shot at the top left to tie the series at 2. Melissa bounced back well in game 5, with Diddley keeping it close with his hot start. Melissa delivered a three-ball run-out at the end for a 3-2 series win. Melissa will host the Capital City Sharpshooters' Sprinkles in the bracket finals. Melissa now has two kills this year, and Diddley is the 91st eliminated player.

Amazon Field Exhibition Hall, Golden: Max v. Patches. The host's second series of the day is in 12-ball with the green cue between Southeastern rivals. Golden's Max gave away a wild-card ball on the game 1 break, but his offense was too strong for it to matter. Boston's Patches couldn't catch up, and Max took the win for a 1-0 series lead. The Pilots' Max had an empty break in game 2, but made a pair on his second turn and a four-ball run-out after that as the Swifts' Patches continued to struggle on offense. Max gave away a wild-card ball again to start game 3, as well as an overfill on his own stripes. Patches finally found some offense, controlling the pace to get the win that cut the series to 2-1. Patches gave up a wild-card ball in game 4, but Max put it back on the table with a scratch in the middle. Patches tried to finish at the bottom right, but a missed contact allowed Max to convert a three-ball run-out from ball-in-hand for the win to clinch the series at 3-1. In game 5, Patches didn't get enough of her offense to connect. Max was able to hang on long enough to make a pair for the win and 4-1 series win. Max is set to host the North Modernistic Nighthawks' Cheddar in the bracket finals. Max earned his third kill of the year, and Patches is the 92nd player out.

Home Depot Forum, Web City: Waluigi v. Noelle. Northeastern foes tangle in the silver cue's lone outing of the day, playing 9-ball. Sloppy finishes on both side allowed Web City's Waluigi to emerge with the narrow win over Central's Noelle. Waluigi is ahead 1-0 in the series. The Warriors' Noelle again missed a late on the 9 after answering the Spiders' Waluigi's four-ball run with a three-ball run of her own. Waluigi got the tap-in at the top right for the win and 2-0 series lead. Waluigi belted a six-ball run off the break in game 3, but his miss on the 7 was critical. Noelle got on track for a three-ball run-out in response, her win cutting Waluigi's series lead to 2-1. A fortunate bounce decided the series in game 4, as Waluigi banked the 4 off the bottom rail with a clip deflection off the 8. This bumped the 9 to the top left for the win and 3-1 series lead as Noelle could only watch and rue her poor finishing. Noelle got a little redemption with a deflection off the 6 to sink the 7 at the bottom left and a 6-9 combination to the bottom right for the win. Waluigi still won the series 3-2 and will host Victoria Spurs captain Spice in the bracket finals.

Pepsi Arena, Lighton: Acorn v. Bright. Ending the day, the purple cue shoots Rotation. Lighton's Acorn made a stunning seven balls over his first two turns, allowing him to be patient as Pearl's Bright tried to make a comeback. Acorn cut off the rally to win 8-2, going ahead 1-0 in the series. The Surfers' Bright had the lead in game 2, and he looked likely to win, but he couldn't find a final shot. The Prestige's Acorn pushed back on a four-ball run to tie the game, then made the 15 on his second try for the 8-7 result. Acorn moved to a 2-0 series lead. Bright again took a large lead after some fortunate offense in game 3. Acorn mounted a comeback effort once more, but Bright held it off this time for an 8-5 win. Acorn's series lead is now 2-1. Game 4 went back and forth between the players. Acorn had less of the offense, and Bright managed to produce a three-ball run-out at the end to win 8-6. This tied the series at 2. Bright looked like he was going to make it competitive early in game 5, but Acorn darted away to an 8-1 win with a five-ball run-out. Acorn's 3-2 series win puts him in the bracket finals.

We're already approaching the midpoint of the Bracket Semifinals. The silver cue won't play today. Today's action begins with...

Ford Forum, Pronger: Avril v. Easter. The purple cue kicks things off with 9-ball. Pronger's Avril set the tone with a five-ball run during game 1, but she missed on the 7. Todavía's Easter took over and posted a three-ball run-out for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Stills' Easter made a pair on the break in game 2, and then closed it out with a four-ball run-out after the Tridents' Avril failed to sustain her mid-game offense. Easter is now ahead 2-0 in the series. Easter stepped things up with an unlikely five-ball run-out in game 3, working a couple of bank shots before cutting the 9 from a tough angle to the bottom side. This clinched the series in her favor at 3-0 over Avril. Easter made a pair on the break in game 4, but her miss on the 4-9 combination to the top left allowed Avril to later convert a 5-9 combination in the same spot. Avril avoided the sweep by cutting Easter's series lead to 3-1. Avril had a three-ball run in game 5 before she missed on the 7. This allowed Easter to pot a three-ball run-out for the win and 4-1 series win. Easter is through to the bracket finals.

Cisco Arena, Tysini: Sugar v. Dominic. The red cue is next up for a 13-ball series. A close battle emerged in game 1, with Southern's Dominic striking quickly but lacking positioning on his last ball. Tysini's Sugar kept it close and got the win with a pair of shots for the 1-0 series lead. The Hummingbirds' Sugar was very slow to start in game 2, but the Monarchs' Dominic couldn't strike his last pair down quickly. Sugar battled back and ultimately snagged the win to go ahead 2-0 in the series. Dominic was the one making a rally in game 3, but his attempt to get positioning at the bottom right freed up the 8 for Sugar at the top right. Sugar made the shot to secure the series at 3-0 with this win. Dominic had the better offense early in game 4, but Sugar went right through his defense to set herself up for a pair of shots on the next turn. Sugar got the win, stretching her series lead to 4-0. Sugar kept control in game 5, working her offense slowly but steadily to beat Dominic one more time. Sugar swept the series 5-0 and will play in the bracket finals.

Microsoft Center, Del Sur: Dominic v. Katharine. The host finishes his personal doubleheader with the green cue in 10-ball. Neither player had much confidence in their play, with Southern's Dominic taking the 10 to the bottom left after Whitewater's Katharine missed contact on a kick attempt. Dominic leads the series 1-0. The Shores' Katharine again had a chance to make an impact late in game 2, and she faltered with a miss on the 10. The Monarchs' Dominic mopped it up again, moving to a 2-0 series lead with the tap-in win. Dominic missed contact on the 3 in game 3, and that proved to be a big mistake. Katharine sank the 3 and then double-potted the 4 and 10 to the left corners for the win. Dominic's series lead stands at 2-1. Dominic had a little offense early in game 4, but Katharine controlled the game and picked up the win on a five-ball run-out. The series is now tied at 2. Katharine had a four-ball run in game 5, but she missed the 10 twice. Dominic made it on his second attempt for the win and 3-2 series win. Dominic will head to the bracket finals.

Apple Center, Todavía: Easter v. Autumn. The host's second series today uses the green cue for Rotation. Diamond's Autumn kept it close at first, but Todavía's Easter blasted a four-ball run to take control. Easter eventually won on a three-ball run-out, double-potting the 8 and 11 to the bottom side and bottom left for the 9-1 win. Easter leads the series 1-0. A much more competitive start to game 2 led to a scrap for offense. Little was gained early on, but the Stills' Easter found a three-ball run-out at the end for the 8-5 to move ahead 2-0 over the Gems' Autumn. In game 3, Easter was slow to start. Autumn built up a modest lead, but Easter disregarded it once she got going. Easter's eight-ball run-out gave her an 8-3 win to clinch the series at 3-0. Easter took the early lead in game 4, making quite the impact early on. Autumn stayed close and then rallied with a five-ball run-out for the 8-5 win to cut Easter's series lead to 3-1. Autumn got a little more redemption in game 5 with a four-ball run to take the lead and another pair late to win 8-3. Easter still won the series 3-2 to earn her place in the bracket finals. Easter's third kill of the year ended Autumn's rookie campaign as the 83rd eliminated player.

UPS Hall, Maplewood: Whiskers v. Noelle. Northeastern rivals help the red cue exit the day with 15-ball. Maplewood's Whiskers held her own at first in game 1, but Central's Noelle stormed back to get the win on an eight-ball run-out. Noelle has a 1-0 series lead. The Lumberjacks' Whiskers had some chances to deliver a finishing run or shot in game 2, but none of them fell. The Warriors' Noelle got by with less than her best as she buried the 15 to the top side for the 2-0 series lead. Noelle had most of the late offense in game 3, but it came in choppy bursts and tough misses. This gave Whiskers enough time to stabilize and poach the win with the 15 at the bottom right. Noelle remains ahead 2-1 in the series. The battle remained strong in game 4, with Whiskers getting denied on a few tough bounces. Noelle was able to earn the win on her second shot at the 15, sealing the series at 3-1 in the process. Game 5 saw some sloppiness in both players' games. At the end, Whiskers whiffed on the 15 close-range at the top left, and Noelle buried it to finish with a 4-1 series win. Noelle is set to be on the road again in the bracket finals. Noelle earned her second kill of the year and made Whiskers the 84th eliminated player.

Cisco Arena, Tysini: Sarah v. Lionel. The green cue cycles in for a 9-ball series. Tysini's Sarah made a pair on the break and continued to find reasonable success after that. North Modernistic's Lionel offered a late challenge but fell short, and Sarah got the win for a 1-0 series lead. The Hummingbirds' Sarah started game 2 with a four-ball run, but she was still in danger late. The Nighthawks' Lionel had a late pair before missing the 9, which Sarah sank to the bottom right for the win and 2-0 series lead. Sarah again started well in game 3 with a three-ball run, but her late play dropped off this time. A couple of narrow misses from Sarah helped Lionel carve out enough offense and momentum to get the win, cutting the deficit to 2-1. Lionel kept himself in the series with a solid game 4, working a three-ball run-out at the end after Sarah lacked any consistency. Lionel's win tied the series at 2. Sarah made a three-ball run, then missed on the 7 late in game 5. Lionel had a chance to take over, but he only made one shot, and Sarah converted the last pair for the 3-2 series win. Sarah is set to visit the Queens Flames' Mario in the bracket finals.

GE Stadium Events Center, Southridge: Luigi v. Fuchsia. The purple cue returns to action with this 7-ball set. Southridge's Luigi was alright to start game 1, but Infinity's Fuchsia took over with a five-ball run-out for the win and 1-0 lead in the series. The Torpedoes' Fuchsia struggled late in game 2, finding a four-ball run before falling apart on the 6. The Defenders' Luigi took over eventually and made the last pair to tie the series at 1. Luigi's spray-break in game 3 yielded three potted balls, but he also scratched, as the cue followed the 7 unfortunately into the top right. This gifted the win and 2-1 series lead back to Fuchsia. In game 4, Fuchsia made a ball on the break, then used the 1 as a wrecking ball, ending with a 1-7 combination to the top left to cap a three-ball run-out for the win. Fuchsia sealed the series at 3-1 over Luigi without letting him take a shot in the decisive game. Fuchsia eased up a bit in game 5, and Luigi gladly took the win with a kick on the 7 to the top left. Fuchsia won the series 3-2 and is set to be the visitor in the bracket finals. Fuchsia rejoined the kills lead with four, and Luigi is the 85th player out this year.

Sony Center, Queens: Briana v. Noelle. The visitor gets a second series today, playing 12-ball in the blue cue's lone outing. Central's Noelle played aggressive in game 1, yielding a wild-card ball to remove defense. Queens' Briana couldn't build off that, and Noelle made her final pair of shots for the win to go up 1-0 in the series. The Flames' Briana bounced back in game 2, making five balls over her first two turns. The Warriors' Noelle still tried to play for positioning, but Briana shut it down and earned the win to tie the series at 1. Briana had total control early in game 3, but her positioning for the bottom side wasn't good. Noelle roared back with a four-ball run to get close, then made a pair on the next turn for the win. Noelle leads the series 2-1. Noelle quickly got down to her last ball in game 4, but she had to take a couple of touches to set up at the top right. Briana used her 13 to keep Noelle out of position, and then Briana executed a three-ball run-out for the comeback win to retie the series at 2. Game 5 brought the best of both players, with Briana picking stripes on an early pair. Noelle fired back with a four-ball run, but Briana countered on a four-ball run-out for the win and 3-2 series win. Briana is set to visit her Oceanside Waves rival Celestia in the bracket finals.

Sony Center, Queens: Mario v. Slinks. The venue doubleheader closes with the green cue and 7-ball. A choppy back-and-forth defined game 1, which saw Westside's Slinks flub her play on the 7 at the top side. Queens' Mario converted it for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Flames' Mario doubled up by winning game 2 on the break, getting the 7 to drop in the top side to extend his series lead to 2-0. The Rockers' Slinks had a few chances for a run in game 3, but she didn't connect on her shots well. Her miss on the 5 made it easy for Mario to take the final pair, and that allowed him to clinch the series at 3-0. Mario wasn't quite at his sharpest in game 4, but it didn't matter when Slinks faltered multiple times late in the game. Mario picked up a pair at the end, moving to a 4-0 series lead with this win. Slinks actually had a good attack with a five-ball run in game 5, but she missed on the 7. Mario poached this victory with a shot to the bottom left to complete the 5-0 series sweep. Mario is set to appear in the bracket finals. Mario earned his first kill of the year, and Slinks is the 86th eliminated player.

Nike Field Events Center, Commerce: Niki v. Andrew. Ending the day, the purple cue plays 13-ball. Commerce's Niki made one of each in game 1 and wanted to claim stripes, but her cut on the 11 sank the 8 illegally to the top left. This gifted the win and 1-0 series lead to Freedom's Andrew before he had taken a shot. The Cascades' Andrew made a pair of stripes on the game 2 break, but the Tradewinds' Niki responded with a four-ball run. Andrew would get a three-ball run back before Niki won on a three-ball run-out in the end, tying the series at 1. Andrew did well to start game 3, getting within a shot of the victory. He missed his cut on the 8 at the bottom left after Niki's scratch, and Niki roared back with a five-ball run-out for the win to go up 2-1 in the series. Andrew had to turn to defense after Niki started well in game 4. Andrew nearly made it work, but he missed his last stripe, and Niki put the 8 away in the bottom right for the win and 3-1 advantage in the series. Niki kept the offense strong in game 5, blasting some big shots to take the lead. Andrew pushed again late, but Niki closed the door to win the series 4-1. Niki will host the bracket finals.

Tournament X - Bracket Semifinals Day 4

A new day of action kicks off with...

HP Field Events Center, Midland: Americus v. Dusky. The purple cue's lone outing today is in 10-ball. Midland's Americus had a five-ball run in the middle of game 1, but Atlantic's Dusky made the final pair for the win and 1-0 series lead after an earlier three-ball run. The Predators' Americus kept the attack up in game 2, working a three-ball run-out with a 6-10 combination to the top left after the Pirates' Dusky missed a couple efforts toward the 10. Americus has tied the series at 1. In game 3, Americus had an untimely foul as she had illegal contact while potting the 6. Dusky took over with ball-in-hand for the 7-10 combination at the top left, which helped her retake the series lead at 2-1. Americus fired back with an early finish in game 4, sinking the 6-10 combination to the top left with a two-rail carom and a deflection off the 8 to pot the 6 in the top side for the double. Americus erased Dusky's lead again to tie the series at 2. Americus took total control in game 5 with a pair of five-ball runs separated only by Dusky's miss on the 6. Americus won the series 3-2 and will host the Central Warriors' Dustin in the bracket finals. Dusky is the 79th eliminated player and the second to go out to Americus.

Volkswagen Stadium Events Center, Viewpoint Sound: Princess v. Pedey. Coastal rivals tangle in 8-ball with the green cue. Viewpoint Sound's Princess put up a good fight in game 1, but inconsistency in her shooting allowed Todavía's Pedey to stay close and ultimately win on a late pair of shots. Pedey holds a 1-0 series lead. The Meteors' Princess found some offense with a four-ball run in game 2, but the Stills' Pedey fired back on a fortunate six-ball run-out for the win. Pedey now leads the series 2-0. Princess had a chance for a counterattack after Pedey's four-ball run, but Princess left her first shot in response short of the top right. Pedey made a pair on the next turn for the win to clinch the series at 3-0. Princess got a jump-start in game 4, taking the early lead and nearly getting onto the 8. Pedey didn't seem bothered, rallying back with a pair of four-ball runs to grab another win that stretched his series lead to 4-0. Pedey didn't command much in game 5, easing up with the series already in his hands. Princess didn't do the same, smashing an eight-ball run-out after a slow start to get her lone win. Pedey won the series 4-1 and will visit Midland Predators veteran Chicky Phil in the bracket finals.

Subway Arena, Stonebridge: Jane v. Starlight. A rookie and a superstar play 8-ball with the silver cue. Pacific's Starlight was a little too slow on offense in game 1, and Stonebridge's Jane stepped up defensively to slow down Starlight's rally. Jane ended up with a close win for the 1-0 series lead. the Wolves' Jane started hot in game 2 with a six-ball run off the break. The Volcanoes' Starlight chipped back, but Jane fended her off for the win to go ahead 2-0 in the series. Starlight initially wanted solids in game 3, but settled for stripes when she made one unexpectedly. Jane then proceeded to play faster on solids for a close win that sealed the series in her favor at 3-0. Starlight was on the verge of getting a win in game 4, but Jane dashed those dreams with a five-ball run-out at the end. Jane stretched her series lead to 4-0. Starlight again put in a good effort to start game 5, but Jane was stronger in the end to complete the 5-0 series sweep. Jane will be on the road in the bracket finals.

Samsung Arena, Whitewater: Twinkie III v. Twilight. The blue cue's only series today is in 15-ball. Whitewater's Twinkie III paced the offense for much of game 1, but she missed contact on the 15 on a late kick attempt. Central's Twilight took the free win for a 1-0 series lead. The Warriors' Twilight took over with a pair of four-ball runs in game 2, but she wasn't able to hang onto that advantage at the end. The Shores' Twinkie III ripped a three-ball run-out for the win, tying the series at 1. Twilight again put up a fight with a five-ball run in the middle of game 3. Twinkie III found a counterattack on a three-ball run-out at the end, taking the win for the 2-1 series lead. Twilight took a slight step back on offense in game 4, and that worked out well. Twinkie III filled the void, but Twilight positioned and converted on a 12-15 combination to the top left for the win. The series is tied at 2. Twilight had five balls over her last two turns in game 5, but she left the 15 standing. Twinkie III tapped it into the bottom left for the win and 3-2 series win, which puts her in a road position in the bracket finals.

Volkswagen Stadium Events Center, Viewpoint Sound: Princess v. Dani. The host's second series of the day comes against a teammate in 12-ball with the red cue. The all-Meteors series began with Princess showing some quality play early in game 1. Dani had some offense later, but Princess paced herself well and took a pair for the win and 1-0 series lead. Princess started on a four-ball run in game 2, but she couldn't get a grip on the side pockets at the end. Dani even gave away a wild-card ball before surging to the win that tied the series at 1. Dani had a massive lead in game 3, but Princess erased it with a five-ball run. Dani still had positioning at the top right, but Princess negated that and earned the win on a bold bank shot. Princess is ahead 2-1 in the series. Princess stayed hot to start game 4, and she blocked the bottom right well enough to prevent Dani from forming an attack. Dani got close anyway, but Princess closed the win to seal the series at 3-1. Princess tried to be aggressive in game 5, but she gave away a pair of wild-card balls that helped Dani pick up an easier win. Princess still advanced with a 3-2 series win and will play in the bracket finals.

McDonald's Hall, Atlantic: Steven v. Avril. The silver cue cycles in for a 10-ball series. Atlantic's Steven had some attempts in game 1, but he missed the 3-10 combination to the top left. Pronger's Avril converted the same shot for the early win and 1-0 series lead. The Tridents' Avril had a bit of trouble at the start of game 2, but the Pirates' Steven didn't punish it at all. Avril ended up breaking loose on a seven-ball run-out to extend her series lead to 2-0. Steven had a good shot on the 4 in game 3, and it set him up for the 5-10 combination to the bottom left to fend off Avril. Steven's quick finish got him on the board, but Avril is still ahead 2-1 in the series. Avril cut off the comeback effort early, as Steven found little offense in game 4. Avril finished with a four-ball run-out, positioning well for the win to secure the series at 3-1. Avril took it easy in game 5, backing down and missing contact on the 7. Steven then made a 7-10 combination to the bottom left for the win, cutting Avril's series win to 3-2. Avril will be on the road once again in the bracket finals.

Google Hall, Modernistic: Maggie v. Kayla. The green cue is back for this Accuracy series. Neither player was very good in game 1, with Modernistic's Maggie showing a little stronger than Royal's Kayla. Maggie picked up a sloppy 5-6 win for the 1-0 series lead. The Union's Maggie couldn't hang onto a lead late in game 2, as the Crowns' Kayla bossed the positioning at the end. Kayla pushed her way to a 2-3 win, and that tied the series at 1. Maggie again made an improvement in game 3, her unrelenting attack enough to stick Kayla with a 1-2 loss. Maggie pulled ahead 2-1 in the series with the tight win. Maggie regressed in game 4, playing poorly and then falling off pace later in the game. Kayla wasn't great, but she had enough for a 3-4 win to tie the series at 2. Kayla couldn't quite make an impact in game 5, trailing the entire time before Maggie closed the door for a 2-3 win and 3-2 series win. Maggie will play on the road in the bracket finals. Kayla is the 80th player out of the Tournament as Maggie picked up her first career kill.

Sony Center, Queens: Violetta v. Celestia. The marquee series of the day features the green cue in 15-ball. Oceanside's Celestia failed to carve out enough offense to slow down Queens' Violetta in game 1. Violetta made the last five balls over two turns for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Waves' Celestia showed a bit more skill with a four-ball run in game 2, but she faltered later in the game. The Flames' Violetta capitalized by picking up a pair and then the 15 on consecutive turns for the win, going up 2-0 in the series. Violetta had a fair amount of offense early in game 3, but Celestia took over at the end, burying an eight-ball run-out to keep herself in the series. Violetta remains ahead 2-1 overall. Violetta had a ton of momentum in game 4, using a five-ball run to assert herself before adding another four over the last two turns to easily beat Celestia. Violetta sealed the series at 3-1 with this win. Celestia made some effort in game 5, but Violetta remained strong and picked her shots well at the end to get the win. Violetta won the series 4-1 and will host her appearance in the bracket finals.

Microsoft Center, Del Sur: Mams v. Katelynn. The red cue checks out after this 10-ball set. Royal's Katelynn had crisp shots in game 1, but her attempt on the 10 at the bottom right was not good enough. Southern's Mams tapped it down for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Monarchs' Mams had better offense in game 2, but she struggled to stay on pace at the end. The Crowns' Katelynn converted the 10 to the bottom right, a spot of redemption to help her tie the series at 1. Mams wasn't quite able to find the 10 on her first attempt, but Katelynn whiffed her shot from close range. Mams made the 10 at the bottom left for the win, restoring her series lead at 2-1. Katelynn didn't find a lot of offense in game 4, letting Mams pace the attack. Katelynn had a chance to strike back late and missed her shot, allowing Mams to make a four-ball run-out for the win to secure the series at 3-1. Mams had a lot of the offense in game 5, but it didn't pay off at the end. Katelynn banked the 10 to the top right to save some face. Mams still won the series 3-2 and she'll host the Queens Flames captain Crystal in the bracket finals. Mams got her first kill of the year, with Katelynn as the 81st player out of the Tournament as her days in the league are likely over.

T-Mobile Center, Victoria: Spice v. Strut. Veterans clash in 9-ball with the silver cue to end the day. Both players had brief moments of success in game 1, but it was Victoria's Spice who was able to finish off with a win for the 1-0 series lead over Golden's Strut. The Spurs' Spice was pretty strong with a four-ball run in game 2, but she left the Pilots' Strut a chance. Strut made the 8 but couldn't grab the 9, and Spice put it away for the win and 2-0 series lead. Spice continued to look like the better player, and she finished game 3 with a three-ball run-out to clinch the series at 3-0 over Strut. Spice was erratic throughout game 4, unable to get her offense under control. Strut took over at the end to get the win and avoid the sweep as Spice's series lead now stands at 3-1. Spice bounced back well in game 2, picking up a thorough win for the 4-1 series win over Strut. Spice will still be the road player in the bracket finals. Spice picked up her second kill to make Strut the 82nd eliminated player.

Tournament X - Bracket Semifinals Day 3

The 100th day of Tournament play is here, but the purple cue won't participate. Today's action begins with...

Nissan Hall, Infinity: Fluffina v. Fuchsia. Torpedoes teammates clash in Rotation with the red cue to lead off. Fluffina had the lead for much of game 1, but she fouled by missing contact on the 13. Fuchsia took over with a three-ball run-out for the 8-7 win and 1-0 series lead. Game 2 began with Fuchsia making three balls on the break in a massively confident start. Fluffina never covered that damage, as Fuchsia remained strong to win 8-2 for the 2-0 series lead. Fluffina rallied with a four-ball run to get the lead in game 3, but a miss on the 14 would be especially costly. Fuchsia made four balls over her last two turns to lock in an 8-7 win that sealed the series in her favor at 3-0. Fuchsia returned to dominance in game 4 with an 8-3 win over Fluffina, as the host was clearly frustrated with dropping close results. Fuchsia's series lead stretched to 4-0. Fuchsia took a backseat to Fluffina in game 5, as Fluffina ripped a six-ball run-out for the 8-2 win to avoid the sweep. Fuchsia will be on the road (possibly) in the bracket finals. Fuchsia joined the kills lead with three, while the friendly fire left Fluffina as the 73rd eliminated player.

Apple Center, Todavía: Easter v. Cheddar. The green cue draws into today's action for 12-ball. North Modernistic's Cheddar made a stand with defense and a comeback, but Todavía's Easter fended it off well and picked up the win with a shot to the bottom left. Easter leads the series 1-0. The Nighthawks' Cheddar upped the pace with a five-ball run early in game 2. The Stills' Easter couldn't answer it at all, and Cheddar had a relatively easy win to tie the series at 1. Cheddar took solids on the game 3 break and did well early on, but had to battle with Easter's defense later. Cheddar yielded a wild-card ball, giving Easter momentum, but Easter's run was cut short. Cheddar then made a tough pair of shots for the win and 2-1 series lead. Cheddar worked a four-ball run from the break in game 4 after giving up a wild-card ball. She would give up another freebie late, but Easter couldn't assemble a comeback run. Cheddar took the win to secure the series at 3-1. Cheddar controlled game 5 as well, again making one of each on the break. A five-ball run on stripes saw Easter counter with a three-ball run, but Cheddar easily won for the 4-1 series win.

Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: Neopolitan v. Sweetheart. The red cue is back in action for an Accuracy series. Boston's Sweetheart was too inconsistent early in game 1 to make a steady impact. Pearl's Neopolitan stayed sharper on offense and earned the 2-4 win to go ahead 1-0 in the series. The Swifts' Sweetheart made improvements in her shooting for game 2, and that led to the Surfers' Neopolitan hitting the skids late. Sweetheart held on for a 2-5 win to tie the series at 1. Sweetheart had to contend with a better effort from Neopolitan in game 3. That proved to be no problem, as Sweetheart played perfect for the 0-2 win and pulled ahead 2-1 in the series. Neopolitan finally had a bounce-back performance in game 4, nearly staying perfect until a late miss forced her to settle for a 1-3 win over Sweetheart. The series is tied at 2. Neopolitan scratched on the break in game 5, and a couple other misses put it out of reach. Sweetheart won the finale 1-3 and took the series 3-2 to get a hosting spot versus the Southridge Defenders' Bianca in the bracket finals.

Cisco Arena, Tysini: Charli v. Strawberry. A home-and-home set between Southwestern rivals starts with this 9-ball series using the red cue. Tysini's Charli had a four-ball run from the break and a three-ball run-out with a pair of banks at the end to win game 1 easily over Victoria's Strawberry. Charli has a 1-0 series lead. The Hummingbirds' Charli went empty on the game 2 break, and the Spurs' Strawberry made her pay. Strawberry put the 1 in the top side and turned the 2-9 combination to the top left for the win to tie the series at 1. Strawberry couldn't go the distance in game 3, her offense faltering multiple times. At the end, Charli took over with an aggressive and satisfying three-ball run-out for the win, regaining the series lead at 2-1. Charli controlled the pace of play in game 4, but her late three-ball run ended with a miss on the 9. Strawberry poached a victory to retie the series at 2. Charli played a little too dangerously in game 5, failing to manage much offense. Strawberry didn't take advantage of it, but Charli sank the 9 illegally to gift the series away anyway. Strawberry advances to host her bracket finals appearance with a 3-2 series win. Strawberry has her first kill this year to make Charli the 74th eliminated player.

T-Mobile Center, Victoria: Rosalina v. Sarah. The second half of the home-and-home uses the red cue in 7-ball. Victoria's Rosalina didn't get much offense in game 1, and Tysini's Sarah struck a 2-3 combination to the bottom left with the deflection adding the 7 at the top left. Sarah holds a 1-0 series lead. The Hummingbirds' Sarah failed at the start of game 2, and it didn't improve later. The Spurs' Rosalina bounced back with a six-ball run-out, earning the win to tie the series at 1. Sarah looked to retake control late in game 3 with a three-ball run, but she couldn't corral the 7. Rosalina stepped in and banked the 7 to the top right for the win and 2-1 series lead. Rosalina made five balls over her first two turns in game 4, but Sarah stopped that surge with a pair in the end. Sarah's win retied the series at 2 to set up a big finale. Rosalina looked to be in total control with a five-ball run in game 5, but she missed on the 7. Sarah tapped it to the top left for the 3-2 series that sets her up to visit fellow sophomore Kitty of the Midland Predators in the bracket finals. Sarah recorded her fourth kill of the season as Rosalina is the 75th player out.

AT&T Hall, Oceanside: Celestia v. Angelica. The blue cue's only series today is in 12-ball. Oceanside's Celestia couldn't sustain her offense from a hot start in game 1. Lighton's Angelica did better with positioning at the end and took the win smoothly for a 1-0 series lead. The Waves' Celestia came within a shot of the win, but defense and missed contact thwarted the effort. The Prestige's Angelica then took her last pair of shots to the side pockets for the win that moved her up to a 2-0 series lead. Celestia fought off the danger in game 3, as Angelica made a pair on the break but went cold. Celestia surged late on a four-ball run-out, finishing with a bank of the 3 to the top right to get the win. Angelica remains ahead 2-1 in the series. Celestia didn't cool down in game 4, mixing speed with a balanced offense. Angelica tried to pick up some offense, but she never met Celestia's pace, and the host banked in her last shot to the top side to get the win. The series is tied at 2. Game 5 was weird from the start, as Celestia made a solid but elected to switch suits and give up a wild-card ball. Angelica was a little rattled as well, and she struggled throughout the game, allowing Celestia to win on a four-ball run-out. Celestia completed the comeback for a 3-2 series win to get into a hosting position in the bracket finals.

Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: Bright v. Cowzart. Coastal rivals clash with the silver cue in Accuracy. Things occasionally looked dire for Pearl's Bright, but Pacific's Cowzart fell apart at the end, dropping into a tie and missing on the overtime break. Bright won 4-5 with a tap-in, putting himself ahead 1-0 in the series. The Volcanoes' Cowzart composed himself quickly, turning in a perfect effort in game 2 in a 0-3 win over the Surfers' Bright. This turn of events helped Cowzart tie the series at 1. Cowzart led for most of game 3, but he didn't have enough in the tank to finish off a win. Bright held true near the end and grabbed the 2-3 win, restoring his series lead 2-1 on a narrow victory. In game 3, Cowzart performed well initially, but completely fell off the pace at the end. Bright was strong despite a late miss, winning 2-4 to clinch the series at 3-1. Cowzart made things look a little better by returning to perfection with a 0-2 win in a close battle in game 5. Bright still won the series 3-2 and will host the Pronger Tridents captain Precious in the bracket finals. Bright took his second kill of the season as Cowzart is the 76th player to exit the competition.

IBM Cathedral, North Modernistic: Gal v. Blaze. The red cue returns to end its day with Rotation. North Modernistic's Gal couldn't get much going in game 1, while Infinity's Blaze got by with slightly better luck. Blaze won 8-4 to open the series ahead 1-0. The Torpedoes' Blaze opened with three balls on the break in game 2, but the Nighthawks' Gal didn't stay down long. Gal caught up in two turns and ended up with an 8-5 win after a late push. This tied the series at 1. The momentum shifted back to Blaze's favor in game 3, as he staked out a big lead and Gal didn't provide much of a challenge. Blaze ended up with an 8-2 win and that put him ahead 2-1 in the series. Gal made a pair early in game 4, but Blaze fired back with a seven-ball run to get on the brink of a win. Gal responded with a three-ball run, which Blaze eventually answered for the 8-5 win to seal the series at 3-1. Gal came pretty close to a comeback in game 5, but Blaze held on just in time at the end to grab an 8-7 win. Blaze won the series 4-1 and he'll play host to his Infinity Torpedoes teammate Fuchsia in the bracket finals. Gal is the 77th player out of action, and Blaze has his first career kill.

Starbucks Arena, Archtown: Greg v. Citrus. The green cue exits after this 13-ball series. Archtown's Greg failed to capitalize on an error by Lighton's Citrus in the middle of game 1. A turn later, Citrus had all the positioning she needed for a three-ball run-out and the win, which put her ahead 1-0 in the series. The Prestige's Citrus started well in game 2, but the Arrows' Greg quickly dug himself out of a bad position to stay competitive. Greg then made a three-ball run to get onto the 8, which he took on the next turn when Citrus' counterattack failed. Greg has tied the series at 1. Greg kept the momentum going early in game 3 before giving away a ball to Citrus in a poor attempt for positioning. Citrus pulled even on a four-ball run and got Greg to scratch late. Citrus then made her final pair of shots for the win and 2-1 series lead. Citrus had a good start and renewed pressure at the end of game 4, but positioning lifted Greg to the victory as he executed a four-ball run-out. The series is tied again at 2. Greg didn't let Citrus get to the table in game 5, running all seven shots as necessary to get the win on the opening turn. Greg won the series 3-2 and will play in the bracket finals. Greg's first career kill made Citrus the 78th eliminated player this year.

Audi Hall, Terrace City: Oreo v. Ms. Kitty. Prime club-mates end the day in Rotation with the silver cue. Offense started slowly in game 1, but Terrace City's Oreo was able to take control eventually after Pacific's Ms. Kitty had a couple of errors. Oreo took the win 8-4 and leads the series 1-0. The Volcanoes' Ms. Kitty dominated the start of game 2, but let the Knights' Oreo get to the brink of victory before responding. Ms. Kitty escaped with an 8-7 win in the end, tying the series at 1. Ms. Kitty again built up a large lead in game 3, only to see Oreo erase most of it in a comeback effort. Ms. Kitty finished just in time for an 8-6 win, taking the series lead at 2-1. A much more balanced battle for offense came in game 4, with Ms. Kitty leading at times but not enough to fend off Oreo. A late push sent Oreo to victory by an 8-5 margin, retying the series at 2 between these never-say-die veterans. Neither player wanted to falter in game 5, but Oreo fell apart late to let Ms. Kitty grab an 8-6 win for the 3-2 series win. Ms. Kitty is in line to host the Whitewater Shores' Shaggy in the bracket finals.

Tournament X - Bracket Semifinals Day 2

A slightly late start gets going today with...

Intel Center, Diamond: Autumn v. Bianca. The red cue opens the day in Accuracy. Southridge's Bianca had a better start in game 1 and made it stand after Diamond's Autumn threatened late. Bianca finished with a 2-4 win, going ahead 1-0 in the series. The Defenders' Bianca couldn't keep up as the Gems' Autumn got more aggressive near the end of game 2. Autumn's positioning was enough to help her take the 2-3 win, tying the series at 1. Autumn didn't have as much success in game 3, as an early double-pot from Bianca gave the visitor a jump. Bianca maintained perfection this time for the 0-3 win, and she leads the series 2-1. Autumn had the lead early in game 4, but couldn't make it stand. She missed in the middle and added another on the last ball. Bianca converted at the end for the 1-2 win to seal the series at 3-1. Bianca didn't finish off the effort with game 5, wasting an early lead and faltering at the end to let Autumn grab a 3-4 win. Bianca won the series 3-2 and will be on the road once more in the bracket finals.

Home Depot Forum, Web City: Nibbles v. Hoppy. Outcast club-mates and Northeastern rivals tangle in 15-ball with the purple cue. A fast pace to game 1 saw Web City's Nibbles lose control after missing on the 10. Archtown's Hoppy took over with a five-ball run-out for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Spiders' Nibbles threw the cue into a throng of balls, sinking the 6 to the top right while scratching as the 15 fell in the bottom right. This gifted game 2 to the Arrows' Hoppy, who now holds a 2-0 series lead. Nibbles recovered a bit, putting in a good effort in game 3, but his late three-ball run ended with a miss on the 14. Hoppy struck back with a pair at the end for the win to secure the series at 3-0. Hoppy made the 10 on the break at the bottom left to start game 4. She then pinched the 1-15 combination off the 13 to the top left for the win, stretching her series lead over Nibbles to 4-0. During the celebration of the highlight-reel shot, Hoppy hurt a finger on her base (left) hand). Nibbles avoided the sweep in game 5, dominating with a seven-ball run in the middle before adding the 15 at the top left when Hoppy couldn't steal it. Hoppy won the series 4-1 and will advance to the bracket finals.

Ford Forum, Pronger: Potter v. Dustin. The purple cue stays in action for a 10-ball series. Central's Dustin struck quickly in game 1, with a 1-6 combination and a deflection off the 1 to take the 10 at the top left on his second turn. Dustin leads Pronger's Potter 1-0 in the series. The Tridents' Potter lasted longer in game 2, but his attempt to position for the 10 ended in a scratch. The Warriors' Dustin took the win for free from ball-in-hand, going up 2-0 in the series. Dustin made a three-ball run to start game 3, but his foul for missed contact led to Potter weaving a seven-ball run-out for the win. Dustin remains ahead 2-1 in the series. Potter had a four-ball run in the middle of game 4 as he tried to even the series, but his offense faded late. Dustin buried the final pair cleanly to get the win, securing the series at 3-1. Dustin couldn't do much in game 5, as Potter showed determination to get another win. Potter won on a three-ball run-out, but Dustin took the 3-2 series to punch his ticket to the bracket finals.

Nestle's Warriors Hall, Central: Twilight v. Sage. Two of the year's top players collide in 8-ball with the purple cue. Central's Twilight had a flashy five-ball run in game 1, but Victoria's Sage had an understated and solid overall effort. Sage was rewarded with the win when she banked the 8 to the bottom left for the 1-0 series lead. The Spurs' Sage got down to her last ball in game 2, but positioning was not her friend this time. The Warriors' Twilight battled back to get the win with a five-ball run-out, tying the series at 1 in the process. Twilight kept a step behind throughout much of game 3, as Sage was fairly sharp. Sage would take the win from ball-in-hand after a late foul by Twilight. Sage leads the series 2-1. In game 4, Sage got into the later stages but couldn't corral her last ball. Twilight stepped up and rallied with seven balls over three turns for the win to retie the series at 2. Twilight got ahead early in game 5, and despite Sage's stout effort on defense, Twilight was able to win. This gave Twilight the 3-2 series win and the right to host the Terrace City Knights' Oreo in the bracket finals.

Ford Forum, Pronger: Precious v. Cheddar. Another elite battle sees the silver cue's lone appearance of the day in Accuracy. Pronger's Precious narrowly missed on perfection in game 1, but North Modernistic's Cheddar had back-to-back misses late. Precious held on for a 1-2 win and 1-0 series lead. A similarly close game 2 saw both players perfect until the last ball. The Tridents' Precious had to take the overtime break and couldn't get anything to fall, so the Nighthawks' Cheddar easily won 1-2 to tie the series at 1. Cheddar didn't keep things close in game 3, unraveling near the end as Precious ran away with a 3-6 win this time. Precious holds a 2-1 series lead after that more chaotic battle. Cheddar again lacked stability on her shots after Precious had an awkward break in game 4. Precious stepped up for a 3-5 win this time, clinching the series at 3-1. Game 5 was a return to close play, but Precious was able to hang on for a 2-3 win at the end to complete her 4-1 series win over Cheddar. Precious will advance to the bracket semifinals.

Home Depot Forum, Web City: Jack v. Stripes. The purple cue exits the day in 12-ball. Web City's Jack had a decent game 1 effort but couldn't corral his last ball. Freedom's Stripes used ball-in-hand after Jack missed contact late to get the win, which gave Stripes a 1-0 series lead. The Cascades' Stripes made a four-ball run with a wild-card ball given away in game 2. The Spiders' Jack played a little defense before creating his three-ball run-out for the win to tie the series at 1. Jack yielded a wild-card ball on game 3, but he did a good job with his positioning. Stripes was too slow to attack, and Jack found a four-ball run-out for the win to go up 2-1 in the series. Jack finished off another strong effort in game 4 after Stripes was unable to capitalize with ball-in-hand and two balls to go. Jack sank his winning shot at the bottom side to seal the series at 3-1. Jack didn't find much success in game 5, as Stripes was determined to steal away another win. Jack settled for a 3-2 series win and will host another Cascade, the captain Stinky, in the bracket finals. Jack took his second kill of the year to make Stripes the 70th eliminated player.

HP Field Events Center, Midland: Chicky Phil v. Ms. Kitty. The green cue's lone outing today is in 8-ball. Nothing good came from game 1, as both players turned frustrated at a slow finish. Pacific's Ms. Kitty ran a little more hot-headed, and Midland's Chicky Phil eventually grabbed the win for a 1-0 series lead. Game 2 went a little smoother on both sides, thanks to the Predators' Chicky Phil playing strong offense on stripes. The Volcanoes' Ms. Kitty came up short on her comeback effort, and Chicky Phil earned the win to go up 2-0 in the series. Ms. Kitty finally found her offense with a counterattack in game 3. Chicky Phil had a scratch late, and Ms. Kitty looked ready to win, but she scratched on the 8 to gift away the game and the series. Chicky Phil secured advancement at 3-0. Chicky Phil had to rally to get close in game 4, but his comeback ended with missed contact toward the 8. Ms. Kitty tapped it into the top side, narrowly escaping with the win to cut the deficit to 3-1. Ms. Kitty took another win in game 5, controlling the pace of play from start to finish. Chicky Phil advanced on a 3-2 series win and will play in the bracket finals.

Chevrolet Center, Everton: Puff III v. Briana. More 8-ball uses the blue cue. Everton's Puff III started fairly well in game 1, but a scratch allowed Queens' Briana to take over. Briana made a pair at the end for the win, going ahead 1-0 in the series. Both players found interesting runs in game 2, but the Flames' Briana came up short on the final push. The Eagles' Puff III sank the 8 to the top right for the win, tying the series at 1. Momentum continued to swing wildly between the players. Briana started and ended hot in game 3, as Puff III's mid-game surge wasn't enough to work with. Briana's win put her ahead 2-1 in the series. Briana started slow and then took over late in game 4. Puff III thought her defense at the bottom right was enough, but Briana sank the 8 right through it for the win to seal the series at 3-1. Puff III salvaged a result from game 5, starting quickly and never giving Briana a chance to catch up at the end. Briana took the series 3-2 to get into the bracket finals.

HP Field Events Center, Midland: Kitty v. Bandit. The red cue is done for today after this 7-ball series. Midland's Kitty had a decent start to game 1, but a poor attempt on the 7 at the top left allowed Swordpoint's Bandit to poach the win. Bandit leads the series 1-0. The Blades' Bandit nearly took the 7 to the top right on the game 2 break. Instead, the Predators' Kitty won on a 2-3-7 bank combination soon after that, tying the series at 1 as she finished a three-ball run-out with the trick play. Kitty had the bulk of the offense in game 3, and then got to finish it off as Bandit missed a medium-range shot on the 6. Kitty now leads the series 2-1. Bandit had a four-ball run in game 4, but a cut attempt on the 6-7 combination didn't come close to landing in the top right. Kitty put both of those balls there individually for the win to clinch the series at 3-1. Kitty couldn't finish off with a win, as Bandit found a pair in the game 5 to snag a result. Kitty won the series 3-2 and is in line to host the bracket finals. Bandit is the 71st player out of the Tournament as Kitty takes her second kill of the year. It's also the first team-kill of the year, as the Blades are done.

Pepsi Arena, Lighton: Spirit v. Sparkles. The day ends with the blue cue handling 10-ball. Game 1 started slow on both sides, but Golden's Sparkles turned that around with a six-ball run-out to get the win and 1-0 series lead over Lighton's Spirit. The Pilots' Sparkles was on the other end of a big rally in game 2, as the Prestige's Spirit dispatched an eight-ball run-out for this win. The series is now tied at 1. Both players had failed attempts at big runs in game 3. Sparkles' was the worst, as she got close enough for it to be easy for Spirit to finish the game with a three-ball run-out. Spirit took the series lead at 2-1. A balanced battle in game 4 led to Spirit picking up a pair of shots at the end for the win as Sparkles couldn't corral the 9. Spirit sealed the series at 3-1 in the process. Spirit had a run going late in game 5, but she sank the 10 to the wrong pocket. Sparkles took over and put the 10 as called in the top left for the win. Spirit took the series 3-2 and will host her bracket finals appearance. Spirit joined the kills lead with three to make Sparkles the 72nd eliminated player this year.

Tournament X - Bracket Semifinals Day 1

We're ready to begin a nine-day run through the Bracket Semifinals, the fourth round of this year's Tournament. Leading off...

Toyota Arena, Freedom: Stinky v. Pedey. The purple cue gets the opening series, playing in 12-ball. Freedom's Stinky maintained better positioning and efficiency in his shooting in game 1, having no trouble in a win over Todavía's Pedey. Stinky leads the series 1-0. The Stills' Pedey began with a four-ball run in game 2, and looked good despite giving the Cascades' Stinky a wild-card ball. Stinky held on defensively and blocked Pedey at the top right multiple times. Stinky also scratched, but used a missed contact from Pedey to get his last ball. Stinky extended his series lead to 2-0. Stinky used a four-ball run to establish his lead in game 3. Pedey challenged on a late four-ball run, but a scratch and no positioning stalled him out before Stinky finished for the win. Stinky clinched the series at 3-0. Pedey dodged total disaster in game 4, overcoming an early surge from Stinky. Pedey was able to assemble a challenging four-ball run-out for the win to cut his deficit to 3-1. Pedey looked good to start game 5 as well, but this faded as Stinky bounced back with a firm attack. Stinky took the win and won the series 4-1, punching the first ticket to the bracket finals.

Verizon Field Events Center, Pacific: Leonette v. Isabella. The silver cue will be next, also playing 12-ball. Pacific's Leonette opened with a three-ball run in game 1, and that gave her enough of an edge to hold off Atlantic's Isabella at the end. Leonette made her last shot at the bottom right for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Volcanoes' Leonette wasn't quite as sharp on her shots in game 2, and that combined with a faster pace from the Pirates' Isabella to turn the momentum. Isabella had better late positioning and won with a pair of shots, tying the series at 1. Leonette made a strong push in game 3, but she was stalled by a scratch that ruined her momentum. Isabella pieced together good shots and won on a spinning kick to the bottom right for the 2-1 series lead. Isabella had the lead for much of game 4, but Leonette showed some veteran savvy to block up Isabella's path to the top right. Leonette then converted three balls over three turns for the win to get the win, retying the series at 2. Leonette found some early success in game 5, but Isabella wouldn't stay down for long. Leonette got desperate late, and it led to Isabella taking her last shot to the bottom right for the win and 3-2 series win. Isabella is set to appear in the bracket finals. Isabella took her second kill of the year to make Leonette the 66th player eliminated.

Sony Center, Queens: Mario v. Dusky. The green cue draws its lone series of the day in 9-ball. Queens' Mario couldn't get much going after a solid start to game 1. Atlantic's Dusky picked up the pace with a four-ball run-out for the win, going ahead 1-0 in the series with confidence. The Pirates' Dusky found a five-ball run in game 2, but her shot on the 9 left it out of the top left. The Flames' Mario made a tap-in to poach the win, tying the series at 1. Mario wasn't able to finish game 3 after making a three-ball run and leaving the 9 at the top right. Dusky buried it on a tap-in to regain the series lead at 2-1 after a close battle. Dusky opened with three balls on the break in game 4, but she didn't find much offense after that. Mario got the win with a three-ball run-out, again pulling even with the series tied at 2. Game 5 showed a little tension for both players, as neither wanted to make a mistake. Dusky would anyway, missing her chance on the 9 before Mario buried it at the top right for the 3-2 series win. Mario is in line to host his bracket finals appearance.

T-Mobile Center, Victoria: Sage v. Sierra. Star players collide with the silver cue in 7-ball. Todavía's Sierra had a bit more of the early offense in game 1, but Victoria's Sage posted a 4-7 combination to the top side for the win and 1-0 series lead. Both players potted a pair early in game 2, and each pair ended with an error. The Spurs' Sage then used her ball-in-hand situation to make a three-ball run-out for the win and 2-0 series lead over the Stills' Sierra. The 6 fell late in the top side on Sage's game 3 break, and she immediately struck the 1-7 combination to the top left on the next shot to prevent Sierra from having a chance at a comeback. Sage sealed the series at 3-0. Sage opened game 4 on a four-ball run, which Sierra answered with a pair before missing her cut on the 7 toward the top right. Sage cleaned it up for the win, stretching her lead in the series to 4-0. Sage scratched on the break, but Sierra quickly missed on her first shot. Sage locked in a five-ball run-out to sweep the series 5-0, keeping her perfect run in the event going. Sage will be back on the road in the bracket finals. Sage took her second kill of the year, and Sierra is the 67th eliminated player this season.

Samsung Arena, Whitewater: Katharine v. Oreo. An Urban derby home-and-home between two teams begins with this 8-ball series using the purple cue. Terrace City's Oreo just held on from a hot start, as Whitewater's Katharine countered with a six-ball run but couldn't corral the 8. Oreo put it in the bottom side for the win and 1-0 lead in the series. The Knights' Oreo began with a five-ball run in game 2, setting the standard on offense quickly. The Shores' Katharine lacked good aim, and Oreo took her time to finish off the win to go ahead 2-0. Katharine finally timed an attack well enough to get the win, finding her way to a five-ball run-out after Oreo thought she had time to play patiently. Katharine's win cut Oreo's series lead to 2-1. Oreo made six balls over two turns but appeared to be a bit too slow at the end. Katharine dropped her pace a bit as well, and a miss on the 8 would be costly, as Oreo finally struck for the win to secure the series in her favor at 3-1. In game 5, Oreo had a bit of a delayed start to her attack. She still had enough of a lead to hold Katharine back again, and Oreo grabbed the win to take the series 4-1. Oreo is set to play in the bracket finals.

Audi Hall, Terrace City: Jennifer v. Shaggy. The home-and-home ends with the silver cue in Rotation. Whitewater's Shaggy established the lead quickly in game 1, and a few fortunate bounces helped her dominate for an 8-3 win over Terrace City's Jennifer. Shaggy leads the series 1-0. The Shores' Shaggy built a lead with a four-ball run to start game 2. The Knights' Jennifer never really came close to mounting a challenge, and Shaggy went on to win 8-2 for the 2-0 series lead. In game 3, Shaggy struggled initially before surging to the brink of victory. Jennifer bounced back with a couple of hot turns at the end to snag the 8-7 win, cutting Shaggy's series lead to 2-1. A back-and-forth battle emerged in game 4, with Jennifer looking solid again, but she came up short this time. Shaggy was there to make the final pair for an 8-7 win to seal the series at 3-1. Shaggy wasn't able to make much of an impact in game 5, showing a little frustration. Jennifer stayed calm in a tough battle and won 8-2. Shaggy won the series 3-2 and will be on the road again in the bracket finals. Jennifer is the 68th player out this year, and Shaggy picked up her second kill.

Sony Center, Queens: Crystal v. Ms. Kitty. The red cue's lone outing today is in 10-ball. Queens' Crystal chipped together a bit more offense in game 1, as Pacific's Ms. Kitty lacked precision and power late in the game. Crystal made a pair for the win, going up 1-0 in the series. The Volcanoes' Ms. Kitty had a bigger impact with her five-ball run over the middle of game 2. A cagey finish saw her add the 9, but the Flames' Crystal poked the 10 to the bottom left for the win to extend her series lead to 2-0. Crystal couldn't find much offense in game 3, as Ms. Kitty worked a six-ball run and then managed to make the final pair turns later without Crystal challenging. Crystal maintains a 2-1 series lead. Game 4 was probably the closest of the series, as Crystal put up a good fight but couldn't quite match Ms. Kitty at the end. Ms. Kitty made a pair for the win, and that tied the series at 2. Crystal avoided a total collapse in game 5, weathering a big surge from Ms. Kitty early on before countering with a three-ball run-out. Crystal won the series 3-2 and will take to the road in the bracket finals.

Amazon Field Exhibition Hall, Golden: Valencia v. Jake. Southeastern rivals battle in Accuracy as the purple cue exits the day. Golden's Valencia was unrelenting on offense, a pace Royal's Jake failed to keep up with in game 1. Valencia picked up the 1-3 win for a 1-0 series lead. The Pilots' Valencia stayed close even after an early miss in game 2. The Crowns' Jake let two leads slip away, and the second time saw Valencia assert herself late. Jake missed again, and Valencia won 2-3 to go up 2-0 in the series. Valencia made a ball on the break in game 3, but that would hurt her later, as the last-shot advantage didn't come through. Jake stayed perfect and earned a 0-1 win to cut Valencia's series lead to 2-1. Jake couldn't duplicate the performance in game 4, falling apart in the middle as Valencia dominated possession and positioning. Valencia earned a 1-5 win to clinch the series at 3-1. Valencia kept a steady hand in game 5, showing off with some decisive plays late to get the 1-3 win over Jake. Valencia won the series 4-1 and maintains the right to host in the bracket finals.

IBM Cathedral, North Modernistic: Gizmo v. Sprinkles. The blue cue's only appearance today is in 13-ball. North Modernistic's Gizmo had a big attack in game 1, but a miss on his last ball would be costly. Capital City's Sprinkles stayed close and kicked her last ball to the bottom side before hammering the 8 to the top left for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Nighthawks' Gizmo looked to have the edge multiple times in game 2, but scratches and misses wore down his lead. The Sharpshooters' Sprinkles again struck just in time for the win, moving to a 2-0 series lead. Sprinkles was all offense early in game 3, and she was responsible for the only ball Gizmo sank as he was eliminated from the event. Sprinkles took her time at the end to get the win, securing the series at 3-0. Sprinkles made one of each on the game 4 break, turning that into a three-ball run on stripes. Gizmo tried to keep pace, but Sprinkles' jump-start was enough for her to grab another win, stretching her series lead to 4-0. Sprinkles surged with a six-ball run in game 5, but it ended with a fateful scratch. Gizmo held her off from there to narrowly get a win, dodging the sweep as Sprinkles took the series 4-1. Sprinkles will be on the road in the bracket finals. Gizmo is the 69th player out of the Tournament, and Sprinkles joined the kills lead with three.

Microsoft Center, Del Sur: Pounce v. Sarah. The silver cue closes the day with 13-ball. Southern's Pounce had a very good start to game 1, but he wasn't able to strike at the bottom side. A patient comeback from Tysini's Sarah sufficed to earn the win for a 1-0 series lead. The Hummingbirds' Sarah took off with a three-ball run in game 2, but she got stuffed at the top side and never recovered. The Monarchs' Pounce rallied back with five balls over his last two turns for the win to tie the series at 1. Pounce took the early lead in game 3 with a big run, but he couldn't sink his last ball legally. Sarah took advantage of that, eventually using ball-in-hand to collect a three-ball run-out for the win. Sarah leads the series again at 2-1. Sarah made a pair on the break in game 4 but couldn't solve anything after that. Pounce dealt with tough positioning in much better fashion, earning the win to retie the series at 2. Pounce took a massive lead in game 5, forcing Sarah to play defense at the top left to block his look at the 8. Pounce poked the defense away, and Sarah couldn't make a comeback run, allowing Pounce to get the win for a 3-2 series win. The dramatic finish sets Pounce up to host his bracket finals appearance.
