UPCL Cricket: Playoffs Semifinals - Days 5 and 6

This will close out the semifinals series between the Swifts and Tradewinds, as the Volcanoes advanced in a four-game sweep and await their opponent.

Nike Field, Commerce: Game 5. This series is still anybody's to take. Patches remained incredibly explosive here, slugging 1101 to open the festivities favorably for Boston. Tigerette played respectably, but her 375 leaves Commerce far behind at the start. Puff II fell off her pace a bit this time, hitting only 145 for the Swifts as their lead weakens. Ice Cream had a bad deflection end her turn with 87 for the Tradewinds, and they'll need a lot of help to get back in this one. Gradley tapped another 285 to pad the Boston lead a little more. Lionel had a paltry 110 for Commerce, allowing the hosts to fall even farther behind late in the game. Sweetheart served up 636 for the Swifts, icing their score at 2167. Lorde ended with 48 for the Tradewinds, and their final stood at 620 in another devastating loss for a team that appears fatigued. Boston leads the series 3-2, heading back home with a chance to advance.

Coca-Cola Field, Boston: Game 6. The Swifts can move on with a win here, and they have all the momentum on their side. Tigerette got off to a disheartening start for Commerce with only 72 points. Patches struggled for the first time in awhile, hitting a mediocre 188 to give Boston a small lead. Ice Cream had only 144 for the Tradewinds, covering the deficit by a small margin. Puff II finally had a breakthrough with 424 for the Swifts, giving them a noticeable lead at the halfway mark. Lionel tried to play with a high pace, but got shut down quickly at 96 as Commerce is in a ton of danger. Gradley flicked 550 more for Boston, likely securing their victory as the final players come to bat. Lorde fittingly had a 50% penalty at the end of the game, ending with 154 to put the Tradewinds at 466, proving they just ran out of gas in this series. Sweetheart tapped 150 to give the Swifts 1312 in their series-clinching win, as they will advance after the 4-2 series win.

The finals will be published tomorrow if everything goes to plan.
