BMW RockDome, Westside: Midnight v. Vladimir Vasilyev. The red cue gets first dibs in 9-ball today. Stonebridge's Vladimir struggled initially in game 1, but he was faster to get established on offense than Westside's Midnight. Vladimir had a majority possession for the win and 1-0 series lead. The Rockers' Midnight looked much more confident in game 2 with a five-ball run on her only turn, but it was sandwiched by pairs of shots from the Wolves' Vladimir, which gave him the win and clinched the series at 2-0. Vladimir probably paced play in a slower game 3 performance, but it didn't stop him from scratching while making the 9 at the end, gifting a win to Midnight. Vladimir takes the series 2-1 to get to the second round.
Verizon Field Events Center, Pacific: Twinkie I v. Melissa Benoist. The blue cue gets its turn in 7-ball today's second series. Pacific's Twinkie I and Terrace City's Melissa exchanged three-ball runs in game 1 on their first turns, but it took Melissa scratching while making the 7 to give Twinkie I the win and a 1-0 series lead. The Volcanoes' Twinkie I did a bit more to help her cause in game 2, making a ball on the break and then taking a four-ball run-out in the end to defeat the Knights' Melissa. Twinkie I secured the series at 2-0. Twinkie I lacked her decisive shooting in game 3, instead allowing Melissa to scratch late but still pick up the win on the final pair of shots. Twinkie I finished with a 2-1 series lead to move into the second round.
Starbucks Arena, Archtown: Ruby v. Anton. A respected captain clashes with a surprising rookie in 8-ball with the red cue. Archtown's Ruby didn't get her preferred solids on the game 1 break, but she made do quite well with stripes. Todavía's Anton made a late push, but he whiffed on a shot, and Ruby took two shots to win for a 1-0 series lead. The Arrows' Ruby tried to dig out a shot approximately midway through the rack in game 2, but she accidentally potted the 8, gifting the win to the Stills' Anton instead. The series is tied at 1 after Ruby's misplay. Ruby's troubles didn't end in game 3, as she came close to finishing, but saw Anton use a six-ball run to pull ahead. Anton finished with a cut on the 8 to the bottom side on his next turn, winning the series 2-1 as he makes it to the second round.
Nissan Hall, Infinity: Mr. Snowman v. Pedey. A veteran and a less-tenured veteran clash in 7-ball with the silver cue. Infinity's Mr. Snowman had a lackluster break in game 1, but after Diamond's Pedey left the 2 near the top left, Mr. Snowman cranked it in and made the 3-7 combination to the bottom right for the win. Mr. Snowman leads the series 1-0. The Gems' Pedey had a great game 2, making a well-played six-ball run, but he couldn't quite pick up the 7, and the Torpedoes' Mr. Snowman tapped it in on his second turn, poaching a win to clinch the series at 2-0. Mr. Snowman picked up two balls on the game 3 break, with the 7 dropping late in the top left for the win, which gave him a 3-0 series sweep over Pedey. Mr. Snowman heads into the second round.
Audi Hall, Terrace City: Quincy v. Rudolph. Two rookies from different clubs clash in 10-ball with the blue cue. Terrace City's Quincy had a convincing game 1 performance, getting a couple of early shots in before Harrison's Rudolph made some as well. Quincy then finished on a five-ball run-out for the win and a 1-0 series lead. The Specters' Rudolph imprinted himself a bit more in game 2, making a late three-ball run to keep up with the Knights' Quincy, but Rudolph missed a cut on the 10, and Quincy tapped it in to clinch the series at 2-0. Rudolph did salvage game 3 in this series, making a 4-10 kick combination with a favorable deflection off the 7 to stun Quincy in game 3. Quincy did take the series 2-1, and will host the Queens Flames' Briana in the second round.
GE Stadium, Southridge: Stephanie Livilotti v. Max. One of the last two players to debut hosts another series of 10-ball with the blue cue. Southridge's Stephanie weathered a four-ball run by Atlantic's Max early on, and then made a five-ball run herself before tapping in the 10 on her second try for a 1-0 series lead with the win. The Pirates' Max didn't have as decisive an opener in game 2, and he had a couple of errors, the latter being the most important to the game, as the Defenders' Stephanie picked up a three-ball run-out from ball-in-hand to secure the series at 2-0. The Sharks' Cubby looked like the better player at the start of game 2, but he couldn't sustain that offense to the end, as the Crowns' Cassie tapped in the 9 he left at the top right. Cassie's lucky win tied the series at 1. The shorter-tenured Paps had no trouble in game 1, as the experienced Leandra struggled in this one. Paps kept his mistakes minimal, winning 2-6 for a 1-0 series lead. In game 2, Leandra managed to flip the script rather dramatically, playing perfectly until a scratch on her final shot. Paps was already down and out at that point, as Leandra took this game 1-5 to tie the series at 1. Paps slipped right at the start in game 3, and he spent the rest of the time chasing Leandra. He never caught up, and Leandra took the game 3-5 to secure the series at 2-1 as she brushes by her teammate into the second round.
McDonald's Hall, Atlantic: Isabella v. Cassandra. The silver cue wraps things up today in Accuracy. Atlantic's Isabella fell behind twice early in game 1, but she stayed with it and forced Diamond's Cassandra back into a tie each time. Isabella then induced another miss from Cassandra and won 2-3 with a bank of the 2 to the bottom side, good for a 1-0 series lead. The Gems' Cassandra faltered early in game 2, and while she had the Pirates' Isabella in a bit of trouble, she couldn't pin the wily sophomore down, and Isabella took a 1-3 win to clinch the series at 2-0. Cassandra finally salvaged a win in game 3, managing to get Isabella to rattle a shot at the top side late for the 1-2 win. Isabella took the series 2-1, going on to the second round.

Select Cricket 2018 - Week 14
We're back for the final week before the United Cup second round break. Select leads us off in a disjointed week with...
FedEx Ground, Eastside: The Sharks come into this game with Gizmo on the bench, while Cobalt will get a little extra time off for the Wolves, sitting out the first game back from their bye week. Juno couldn't get Stonebridge off the ground, taking a poor 57 on the opening turn. Graham wasn't any better with an awful 16 for Eastside, getting the week off to an ugly start on both sides. Frosty pieced together a more respectable turn with 527 for the Wolves, giving them a strong lead. Chelsea slugged 1153 for the Sharks on their second attack, pulling them ahead halfway through the game. Hershey shot back with 1247 for Stonebridge, continuing to rapidly escalate the offense. Cubby shot back with 631 for Eastside this time, keeping things incredibly close late in the game. Vladimir clubbed 487 for the Wolves at the end, icing their offense at 2318. Salmo couldn't catch up, his 455 leaving the Sharks narrowly short at 2255. Stonebridge pulls off a minor upset over their rivals, rising to 11-18, while Eastside is down to 12-16 on the year.
Subway Field, Stonebridge: The Wolves return home to finish a doubleheader against the Meteors. Both captains are on the bench, as Juno and Mams are selected to sit this game out. Hoot wasted no time in establishing Viewpoint Sound's offense with 656 on the lead-off turn. Frosty failed to catch up, hitting only 144 in a lackluster first turn for Stonebridge as they'll start from behind. Nibbles faltered with only 176 for the Meteors, weakening their lead on the second attack. Southern's Pounce nearly shut Victoria's Sage out in game 1, but his inability to recover from a scratch would hurt down the line. Sage had a four-ball run and a three-ball run, and eventually made the 8 as well, coming all the way back for a win and 1-0 series lead. The Spurs' Sage struck on the break in game 2, and while the Monarchs' Pounce had a few good shots, Sage put in a better effort this time, winning on a three-ball run-out that saw her kick the 8 to the top right to clinch the series at 2-0. Sage had a tougher time after a lousy break to lead off in game 3. Pounce kept defensive pressure on Sage, but he couldn't built a run after letting the defense lapse, and Sage took the last two shots for the win. Sage swept the series 3-0 to get to the second round.
Pepsi Arena, Lighton: Katelynn v. Precious. A returning veteran meets a captain in Rotation with the silver cue. Both players had strong starts in game 1, with Lighton's Katelynn getting a ball on the break while Pronger's Precious pulled ahead with a couple of nice kick shots. Katelynn made a comeback, but Precious shut it down, winning 8-5 to take a 1-0 series lead. The Prestige's Katelynn was a bit slower in game 2, and she could not afford to make that mistake, as the Tridents' Precious rallied faster on a six-ball run-out, winning 8-2 to clinch the series at 2-0. Katelynn erupted for a five-ball run on her second turn in game 3, answering a four-ball run from Precious. This led to a close finish, as Precious would tie the game but miss on the 15, leaving Katelynn with the 8-7 win on a tap-in. Precious gets to the second round on a 2-1 series win.

Viewpoint Sound's Hoot made a three-ball run from the break, but he had trouble with his late positioning, giving Swordpoint's Bandit the time to make a comeback. Bandit sealed the deal with a pair of shots on his last turn, taking the series lead at 1-0. The Blades' Bandit played a bit unconventionally in game 2, scratching after claiming stripes on the break. The Monarchs' Avril had a good start in game 2, attacking quite well, but she had a couple of errors, leading to the Tradewinds' Lionel making four balls over two turns. Lionel had a chance to win, but he missed contact on his last ball, and Avril made her last shot from ball-in-hand, sealing the series at 2-0. Avril gave away a wild-card ball to help accelerate game 3, but it didn't give Lionel much, as his defense on the top left gave way late and Avril took the win for a 3-0 series sweep. The Spurs' Spice adopted a similar strategy in game 2, turning the tables as the Pirates' Delila rarely got a clear look at her shots. Southern's Avril nearly got the 9 on the break in game 1, but after a congested start, she executed a three-ball run-out with a 4-9 combination to the top right to beat Freedom's Stinky for the 1-0 series lead. The Cascades' Stinky had a more dominant effort in game 2, making a five-ball run on his first turn and a three-ball run-out after that, ending on the 8-9 combination to the top right to tie the series at 1 as the Monarchs' Avril couldn't get herself going this time. Avril had to go the distance in game 3, but she had all of the late momentum, riding a four-ball run-out to beat Stinky this time for the 2-1 series win. Avril's strong finish gets another of her bids in the second round.
Ford Forum, Pronger: Lize v. Kyle. A tough series lies ahead for the rookie host, as she plays 12-ball with the red cue. Queens' Kyle was never in doubt as the game 1 winner, getting a quick start and playing patiently, while Pronger's Lize tried to stay defensive as she dealt with limited force on her shots. Kyle eventually made his last two balls for the win and a 1-0 series lead. The Flames' Kyle was a bit too generous in game 2, giving away three wild-card balls to the Tridents' Lize, an advantage she could cash in on even with her injury. She made the 5 to the bottom right to finish her win, tying the series at 1 game apiece. Lize again used a soft break in game 3, but she found a little more strength late in a competitive game, and she made Kyle pay for giving away a wild-card ball. Shaken, Blizzard scratched, and Dewey took the 12 from ball-in-hand, winning 8-5 for a 1-0 series lead. The Waves' Dewey couldn't piece together a big run this time, instead playing a choppier style. The Eagles' Blizzard kept up with him at first, and she tied it again late, but Dewey made the last two balls for an 8-6 win, clinching the series at 2-0. Dewey had the initial lead in game 3, and he wasn't playing poorly despite a rough break, but Blizzard pulled out a six-ball run-out to win 8-4, salvaging a game in the 2-1 series that put Dewey through to the second round.
Gillette Center, Swordpoint: Jason N. v. Solaris. The blue cue gets a look this time, as a rookie meets a sophomore in 8-ball. Swordpoint's Jason had better pace in game 1, easily potting a few short runs. Infinity's Solaris couldn't avoid a late scratch, and Jason would win two turns later with a kick on the 8 to the bottom left, good for his 1-0 lead in the series. The Torpedoes' Solaris redeemed himself with a quick four-ball run in game 2. The Blades' Jason responded on a three-ball run to keep the game even for a bit, but Solaris took over in the end and got the win, tying the series at 1. Solaris had some offense going in response to Jason's first turn in game 3, but a cut shot went all wrong, and Solaris illegally potted the 8. The gifted game gave Jason the series at 2-1, and he'll be hosting the North Modernistic Nighthawks in their second round series.
Toyota Arena, Freedom: Jasmine v. Anton. A strong veteran hosts a surprising rookie in 12-ball with the blue cue for the last series for awhile. Freedom's Jasmine didn't start that well against Todavía's Anton after picking up a minor injury before game 1, but she rallied late and forced him into a defensive stance. Anton couldn't make it hold, and Jasmine took the win for a 1-0 series lead. The Stills' Anton again wasted all his good play early on in game 2, and he had no defense in place for the three-ball run-out assembled by the Cascades' Jasmine at the end. Jasmine's strong play secured the series at 2-0 in her favor. Anton finally had a breakthrough in game 3, holding the defensive positioning to stymie Jasmine. The series ended 2-1 for Jasmine, who will host the Southern Monarchs rookie Avril in the second round.

The Eagles' Blizzard kept up with him at first, and she tied it again late, but Dewey made the last two balls for an 8-6 win, clinching the series at 2-0. Dewey had the initial lead in game 3, and he wasn't playing poorly despite a rough break, but Blizzard pulled out a six-ball run-out to win 8-4, salvaging a game in the 2-1 series that put Dewey through to the second round.
Gillette Center, Swordpoint: Jason N. v. Solaris. The blue cue gets a look this time, as a rookie meets a sophomore in 8-ball. Swordpoint's Jason had better pace in game 1, easily potting a few short runs. Infinity's Solaris couldn't avoid a late scratch, and Jason would win two turns later with a kick on the 8 to the bottom left, good for his 1-0 lead in the series. The Torpedoes' Solaris redeemed himself with a quick four-ball run in game 2. The Blades' Jason responded on a three-ball run to keep the game even for a bit, but Solaris took over in the end and got the win, tying the series at 1. Solaris had some offense going in response to Jason's first turn in game 3, but a cut shot went all wrong, and Solaris illegally potted the 8. The gifted game gave Jason the series at 2-1, and he'll be hosting the North Modernistic Nighthawks in their second round series.
Toyota Arena, Freedom: Jasmine v. Anton. A strong veteran hosts a surprising rookie in 12-ball with the blue cue for the last series for awhile. Freedom's Jasmine didn't start that well against Todavía's Anton after picking up a minor injury before game 1, but she rallied late and forced him into a defensive stance. Anton couldn't make it hold, and Jasmine took the win for a 1-0 series lead. The Stills' Anton again wasted all his good play early on in game 2, and he had no defense in place for the three-ball run-out assembled by the Cascades' Jasmine at the end. Jasmine's strong play secured the series at 2-0 in her favor. Anton finally had a breakthrough in game 3, holding the defensive positioning to stymie Jasmine. The series ended 2-1 for Jasmine, who will host the Southern Monarchs rookie Avril in the second round.

Tournament 2018 - Round 1 Day 24
We're back for a new day of Tournament play. First up...
Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: Watermelon v. A. Charlton. The blue cue takes the first series today, playing 10-ball. Game 1 started a bit slowly in these cold conditions, with Pearl's Watermelon rattling a number of shots out. Golden's Charlton settled in and eventually found a five-ball run-out for the win and a 1-0 series lead. The Pilots' Charlton dominated in game 2, and while the Surfers' Watermelon came close on a 4-10 kick combination try, it was a pair of four-ball runs, capped by a 7-10 combination to the top right, that set Charlton with the win and the series at 2-0. Charlton again held a majority of possession in game 3, including a four-ball run late, but she chipped her shot on the 10 wide of the bottom right, and Watermelon made a tap-in for her only win. Charlton won the series 2-1, and she'll head to Whitewater to face the Shores' Shaggy in the second round.
FedEx Arena, Eastside: Chelsea v. Josie. The red cue is set for the second series in Accuracy, between a veteran and a rookie. Eastside's Chelsea did well for most of the game, but when she started missing, she couldn't break the habit. Oceanside's Josie held the lead for the entire second half, winning 2-4 for a 1-0 series lead. The Waves' Josie stayed nearly perfect in game 2, missing on the second-to-last ball. This gave the Sharks' Chelsea hope of forcing overtime, but Josie squashed that by banking the final ball to the bottom side to win 1-2, clinching the series at 2-0. Josie and Chelsea struggled at the start of game 3, but they settled in and went to overtime, where Chelsea wasted a chance to beat Josie, and then lost on the next turn 2-3. Josie swept the series 3-0 to move into the second round.
Nissan Hall, Infinity: Shelley v. Lexi Woode. The silver cue steps in for this 9-ball series. Infinity's Shelley made the 4 on the break in game 1, then took the 1 and cut the 2-9 combination to the top right for a three-ball run-out and the win, taking a quick 1-0 series lead over Harrison's Lexi, who never saw the table. The Specters' Lexi answered with a massive performance in game 2, taking a three-ball run early on and a four-ball run-out at the end to get the win. The Torpedoes' Shelley tried to hold Lexi off, but to no avail, as the series is now tied at 1. Lexi took a controlling stake in game 3 as well, with a four-ball run on her second turn and then a failed attempt at the 7 that caromed the 9 into the bottom right to defeat Shelley in the game and 2-1 in the series. Lexi's comeback effort puts her through to the second round.
Google Hall, Modernistic: Ms. Puppy v. Nicole. Two veterans battle it out in 8-ball with the blue cue. Modernistic's Ms. Puppy got onto the 8 in game 1 before a scratch set her back, and two turns later, Lighton's Nicole made a six-ball run-out to come from behind for the win. Nicole leads the series 1-0. The Union's Ms. Puppy made sure to complete the job in game 2, as the Prestige's Nicole didn't make a ball on either of her two turns. Ms. Puppy began with a five-ball run, and capped her win on a three-ball run-out, tying the series at 1 with the quick effort. Ms. Puppy had the first run in game 3, but a five-ball run by Nicole made things a lot tighter. Both players had short runs after that, but it was Nicole coming up with the 8 on her second try to take the win. Nicole won the series 2-1, and will travel to a Southwestern rival in the second round as she faces Victoria Spurs sophomore Wario.
Coca-Cola Field Exhibition Center, Boston: Ice Cream v. Cowzart. The silver cue is back in action for some 15-ball. Boston's Ice Cream kept pace in game 1 early on, but Westside's Cowzart was more consistent late in the game, snagging the win late by making five of the last six balls. Cowzart takes a 1-0 series lead. The Rockers' Cowzart had a clear super-majority in possession in game 2, with a pair of four-ball runs and a three-ball run from the break, but he left the last two balls for the Swifts' Ice Cream. The host took care of them both, getting the win to tie the series at 1. Cowzart still seemed to be buzzing in game 3, but he took more unnecessary risks and a lot of scratches, allowing Ice Cream to remain competitive. At the end, Ice Cream made the final two balls again for the win, taking the series 2-1 to get to the second round.
Volkswagen Stadium Events Center, Viewpoint Sound: Vincent Sullivan v. Twinkie III. The blue cue returns for another 8-ball series in this one. Whitewater's Twinkie III struck first in game 1, but she had to retreat to a defensive position after a good rally by Viewpoint Sound's Vincent, who got onto the 8 but couldn't pot it before Twinkie III picked it off at the end. Twinkie III leads the series 1-0. The Meteors' Vincent took a stronger attack early in game 2, building up with a nice run. The Shores' Twinkie III was not happy with this, defending against Vincent and casually chipping her way toward the 8, which she took to cap a three-ball run-out for the win, which then clinched the series at 2-0. Vincent had a five-ball run pushing his offense in game 3, but it was again not enough, as a more balanced effort from Twinkie III would be the winning one. Twinkie III took the series in a 3-0 sweep, and she will face Victoria Spurs newcomer Strawberry on the road in the second round.
Kraft Forum, Royal: Kayla v. Diddley. The blue cue stays in action for this 9-ball series between veterans. Royal's Kayla pulled off a fantastic effort in game 1, getting a nice three-ball run early on and adding plenty of offense straight up to the end, where she beat Maplewood's Diddley with the last pair of shots. Kayla holds a 1-0 series lead. The Crowns' Kayla didn't have as strong an offense in game 2, allowing the Lumberjacks' Diddley a few more shots, but the game had an overall chippy vibe, with neither player finding a good run. Kayla had the fortune to be the one making the 9 in the end, good for the win and a 2-0 lead in the series. Kayla seemed to have a grip on game 3, but she missed on the 7, and Diddley took over with a three-ball run-out from there, getting his only win. Kayla won the series 2-1 to advance to the second round.

Lionel leads the series 1-0 with the commanding win. The Blades' Jason stepped up his game in game 2, making a four-ball run-out after the Tradewinds' Lionel had an imposing but not very successful break turn. Jason cut the 5-9 combination to the top right to get the win, tying the series at 1. Jason kept himself as a threat in game 3, and when Lionel missed on the 4, Jason keyed a three-ball run-out, ending by double-potting the 5 and 9 combination in the bottom left. Jason's persistence despite a bad start to the series helped him win the series 2-1, heading to the second round.
Google Hall, Modernistic: Daisy v. Shiny. The blue cue returns to action again, this time administering a 7-ball series. Modernistic's Daisy never let Web City's Shiny get to the table in game 1, making a four-ball run-out with two balls on the break and a 3-7 combination to the bottom left to give herself a 1-0 series lead. The Spiders' Shiny charged back with a four-ball run on her first turn in game 2, but the Union's Daisy took two of the last three balls in response. Daisy left the 7 standing, and Shiny struck it into the bottom left for the win from distance, tying the series at 1. Neither played pulled off a big run in game 3, but it came down to near-misses in the end, as Daisy had one on the 6 and Shiny had the other on the 7. Daisy tapped the 7 in to take the series 2-1, moving to the second round in the process.

Web City's Ted controlled the pace of game 1, but Queens' Hannah frustrated him enough late to sneak the 9 into the top right on a deflected shot, good to put her ahead 1-0 in the series. The Flames' Hannah had a better start in game 2, but the Spiders' Ted brought that to a crashing halt, smashing the 2 into the top right and deflecting a 6-9 combination into the bottom right to get the win, bringing the series to an even 1-1 tie. Game 3 proved to be as even as the combined two games before, with Hannah finally breaking through in the end after Ted couldn't quite piece together a late run. Hannah's strong finish gave her a 2-1 series win, sending her to the second round.
Microsoft Center, Del Sur: Pounce v. Mr. Snowman. The blue cue stays up for this series of Rotation between veterans. Infinity's Mr. Snowman built up a big lead early in game 1, and Southern's Pounce never managed to get his shot under control. The Torpedoes' Mr. Snowman had to fight a bit more with the Monarchs' Pounce at the start of game 2, but Mr. Snowman settled the battle with a six-ball run-out soon after, winning 8-2 this time as he clinched the series at 2-0. Game 3 took a lot longer, with no urgency on either side. Mr. Snowman eventually broke out for the win again, and a three-ball run-out at the end helped him beat Pounce 8-3. Mr. Snowman swept the series 3-0 as he advances to the second round.
Nike Field Events Center, Commerce: Lionel v. Kyle. A tough veteran meets a solid returning veteran in Rotation with the silver cue for today's last series. Queens' Kyle jumped out to an early lead in game 1, but Commerce's Lionel got to the brink of victory before Kyle broke out of a mid-game slump. Kyle chipped away at the deficit and eventually won 8-7, taking a 1-0 series lead as well. The Tradewinds' Lionel busted out a three-ball run to affirm his lead in game 2 after a good start that left the Flames' Kyle frustrated. Lionel made sure to secure things, making two balls on his last turn to win 8-1, tying the series at 1. Lionel and Kyle engaged in an epic game 3 battle, going back and forth until Lionel pulled away to the 8-5 win in the end. Lionel took the series 2-1, earning his spot in the second round.

Tournament 2018 - Round 1 Day 23
After one day off, Tournament play is expected to be conducted three days in a row before the next break. We begin this session with...
HP Field Events Center, Midland: Shawn v. Gradley. Two talented veterans clash in Rotation with the red cue to lead things off. Boston's Gradley set the tone in game 1 with a five-ball run on his first turn, including a double-pot of the 4 and 13 to the right corners. Gradley cruised to the finish with only a little resistance form Midland's Shawn, winning 8-2 for a 1-0 series lead. The Predators' Shawn started a bit better in game 2, getting a three-ball run in for the early lead while the Swifts' Gradley scratched around. Gradley stayed persistent and made a late rally, eventually winning 8-6 thanks to a ridiculous kick on the 12 to the top left. Gradley clinched the series at 2-0. Shawn kept the lead for most of game 3, and this time he was able to rebuff Gradley's late rally, winning 8-6 to cut the series to its 2-1 final score. Gradley moves on to the second round.
Microsoft Center, Southern: Dominic v. Strawberry. Players on new teams take the second series in 7-ball with the silver cue. Southern's Dominic had a flurry of attack in game 1, getting a ball on the break and striking on two other turns, winning with the last pair of shots to beat a lackluster effort from Victoria's Strawberry. Dominic leads the series 1-0. The Monarchs' Dominic had all of the possession in game 2, including a six-ball run on his second turn, but he scratched while making the 7, gifting the win away to the Spurs' Strawberry to tie the series at 1. Dominic's game 2 mistake would end up costing him the series, as Strawberry converted the 7 on the game 3 break to the top right, never letting the host get a chance to win the series. Strawberry walks away with a 2-1 series win, much to the chagrin of the partial home crowd.
Ebay Center, Queens: Violetta v. Shelley. A hotshot sophomore tangles with a returning veteran in Rotation with the blue cue. Queens' Violetta got off to a nice start, but she had trouble developing a true run. The 8 gave both players trouble in game 1, but Violetta eventually broke through, holding off Infinity's Shelley to win 8-3 for a 1-0 series lead. The Flames' Violetta scratched on the break in game 2, sacrificing her chance at the early lead. The Torpedoes' Shelley had a three-ball run, which Violetta answered on a five-ball run, and the game was close up to the end, where Shelley found a four-ball run-out for the 8-7 win, tying the series at 1. Violetta found a breakthrough in game 3, rallying herself ahead of a flustered Shelley late in the game before sealing the 8-4 win for a 2-1 series win. Violetta advances to the second round.
Ebay Center, Queens: Hannah v. Missy. We keep the venue, the cue, and the event the same in this multifaceted doubleheader. Capital City's Missy did well in game 1, building up her lead early and keeping Queens' Hannah a minimum of two shots back for most of the game. Missy ended up winning by an 8-4 score in the end, good for a 1-0 series lead. The Flames' Hannah had a better effort in game 2, watching the Sharpshooters' Missy take two balls from the break but then only get one more after that. Hannah used short runs and ended with a pair of shots a couple of turns after a three-ball run put her well ahead. Hannah won by an 8-3 score, tying the series at 1. In game 3, Missy jumped out to an early lead, but Hannah kept her honest defensively in the middle of the game. Hannah then took the lead and cruised from there, winning 8-5 to claim the series 2-1. Hannah is off to the second round.
GE Stadium Events Center, Southridge: Bianca v. Brownie. The Southeast hosting Southwest duels continue with this 15-ball series played with the silver cue. Peach shut things down on a four-ball run-out at the end, winning 8-2 to tie the series at 1. Jennifer jumped out to a lead in game 3 with a three-ball run, and while Peach had a four-ball run later to nearly tie the game, Jennifer sidestepped the attack and made two more balls to win 8-5, taking the series 2-1 in the process as she advances to the second round.

The Warriors' Twilight had a bit more urgent play early in game 2, but the Flames' Kyle matched her pace. Kyle strangely had the better of possession in game 3 throughout, but a late miss on the 14 opened the door for Twilight to make two shots at the end for the win. Gradley stayed persistent and made a late rally, eventually winning 8-6 thanks to a ridiculous kick on the 12 to the top left. Gradley clinched the series at 2-0. Shawn kept the lead for most of game 3, and this time he was able to rebuff Gradley's late rally, winning 8-6 to cut the series to its 2-1 final score. Gradley moves on to the second round.
Microsoft Center, Southern: Dominic v. Strawberry. Players on new teams take the second series in 7-ball with the silver cue. Southern's Dominic had a flurry of attack in game 1, getting a ball on the break and striking on two other turns, winning with the last pair of shots to beat a lackluster effort from Victoria's Strawberry. Dominic leads the series 1-0. The Monarchs' Dominic had all of the possession in game 2, including a six-ball run on his second turn, but he scratched while making the 7, gifting the win away to the Spurs' Strawberry to tie the series at 1. Dominic's game 2 mistake would end up costing him the series, as Strawberry converted the 7 on the game 3 break to the top right, never letting the host get a chance to win the series. Strawberry walks away with a 2-1 series win, much to the chagrin of the partial home crowd.

Violetta found a breakthrough in game 3, rallying herself ahead of a flustered Shelley late in the game before sealing the 8-4 win for a 2-1 series win. Violetta advances to the second round.

Premier makes its delayed start to week 13 on Saturday with four games, and the remaining eight to be played Sunday. Leading off...
Blades Fusion ProGlide Park, Swordpoint: The Blades begin a home doubleheader to lead off week 13, leaving Jason N. on the bench in the first one, while A. Charlton sits for the visiting Pilots. Valencia popped 603 for Golden on the opening turn, getting them started in great form. Snowball had a pitiful 90 for Swordpoint in response, hardly impacting their newfound deficit. Dusty covered that damage a little too snugly with a mere 98 for the Pilots on the second attack. Dreamy cut into the deficit with a good 378 for the Blades, getting them a little closer to on track. Strut kept Golden in a nosedive, hitting a pathetic 48 on his turn as their lead weakens again. The scoring got worse as Bandit hit an absolutely horrendous 3 points for Swordpoint. Sparkles managed just 49 for the Pilots this time, ending their pitiful offense at 799, which may actually be enough in this sorry game. Stealth pushed with 267 for the Blades, giving them a total of 738 in the loss. Golden escapes with one of the ugliest wins in any division, going to 17-11 while Swordpoint will need to erase that game from memory quickly as they fall to 14-15.

Kiwi had a rocky 171 for Terrace City at the start of this game. Dreamy established Swordpoint with a much stronger 856, giving them a big early lead. Oreo couldn't get the Knights off of the ground, falling at 117 in a weak second attack. Bandit made up for his previous outing with a confident 595 for the Blades this time, padding their lead significantly. Melissa had only 167 for Terrace City, falling in line with their other disappointing performances in this game. Stealth tapped 312 for Swordpoint, fully confident in their ability to hold on in the final turn. Quincy failed to pull his bat back in time, falling at a pathetic 69 for the Knights as they take a loss on 524. Jason N. tacked on 822 for the Blades at the end, sealing their easy win at 2585. Swordpoint shows two sides in two games, returning to an even 15-15 record, while Terrace City dips to 10-13, straddling the drop zone line.
Henry Ford Memorial Stadium, Pronger: The shorthanded Tridents are set to host a Predators team that has their captain Shawn on the bench for this game. Rainmane did well on the opening turn for Midland, batting 495 to establish their offense pretty well. Precious answered with 770 for Pronger, giving the hosts a slight edge initially that she hopes will be well-supported. Leonardo shot back with 615 for the Predators to cover the deficit on the second attack. Zach hit 409 for the Tridents on his turn, losing a bit of the grip on their lead halfway through the game. Americus posted 783 for Midland on this attack, giving them a strong lead now. Spot got some of it back with 463 for Pronger, but they are now behind with a player each to go. Fuchsia struck a solid 544 for the Predators at the end, icing their offense at 2437. Potter grabbed 368, not enough to avoid the loss as the Tridents fall with 2010. Midland rose to the challenge, going to 11-13 on the year, while Pronger sinks further at 6-11.
Verizon Field, Pacific: The Volcanoes decide to sit Chicky Phil after the whole team had a rough outing the last game, while the Knights bench Quincy in the finale of their four-game road trip. Kiwi posted 487 for Terrace City, already an improvement over her previous outing. Starlight was much weaker with 176 for Pacific at the start, giving the hosts an early deficit. Jennifer flicked 279 for the Knights, taking replays for a technical error and a false start before a flurry of activity on her third try. Ms. Kitty got some of it back with 408 for the Volcanoes, but they are still behind. Oreo supplied 384 for Terrace City on her turn, keeping their lead firm for now. Twinkie I couldn't catch Pacific up with 153 on a poor turn, making the deficit pretty sizable with a player each to go. Melissa knocked 391 for the Knights, putting their total at 1541. Leonette hauled in 475 for the Volcanoes with good pace, but they took the loss at 1212. Terrace City has some magic against Pacific, with the former at 11-13 and the latter falling to 10-14.

Dreamy slugged 1085 in response for the Blades, pulling them ahead on a feisty second attack. Ms. Kitty slipped up on one of her swings, and it allowed the next offering to get behind her, ending her effort at 296 for the Volcanoes. Bandit faltered with 104 for Swordpoint this time, re-opening the door for the hosts to make a comeback. Leonette wasted the opportunity with a pitiful 54 for Pacific, drawing the ire of the fans and her teammates. Jason N. tacked on 296 at the end for the Blades, their final sitting at 1780. Chicky Phil chunked his turn at 101 for the Volcanoes, leaving them in a frustrating loss at 1218. Swordpoint rises to 16-15 now, while Pacific sinks again to 10-15, losing ground on the Hutton Cup zone.

Potter covered the deficit with 837 for the Tridents, giving them the lead at a final score of 1890. Fuchsia took the threat seriously, rallying to 650 for the Predators to snag another win at a final of 2395. Midland sweeps the two game set this week, rising to 12-13, while Pronger is now 6-13.

Bells showed no mercy, lifting Todavía higher with 719 on a firm attack. Potter went with 598 for the Tridents, but his good effort was wasted in the loss at 1251. Prism poked 259 to ice the Stills win at 1849. Todavía has shown strength lately, rising to 13-17, while Pronger's slow collapse continues at 6-14.

Misty had only 117 for Westside on the opening turn, a slow start from the visiting captain. Everton replied with 465 from Goldy on her lead-off turn, giving the hosts the initial lead. Goatee couldn't keep her swing under control for the Rockers, falling early at 128, which isn't enough to cover the deficit. Puff III got beat on a deflection at a measly 54 for the Eagles, weakening their lead halfway through the low-scoring game. Blades Fusion ProGlide Park, Swordpoint: The Blades begin a home doubleheader to lead off week 13, leaving Jason N. on the bench in the first one, while A. Charlton sits for the visiting Pilots. Valencia popped 603 for Golden on the opening turn, getting them started in great form. Snowball had a pitiful 90 for Swordpoint in response, hardly impacting their newfound deficit. Dusty covered that damage a little too snugly with a mere 98 for the Pilots on the second attack. Dreamy cut into the deficit with a good 378 for the Blades, getting them a little closer to on track. Strut kept Golden in a nosedive, hitting a pathetic 48 on his turn as their lead weakens again. The scoring got worse as Bandit hit an absolutely horrendous 3 points for Swordpoint. Sparkles managed just 49 for the Pilots this time, ending their pitiful offense at 799, which may actually be enough in this sorry game. Stealth pushed with 267 for the Blades, giving them a total of 738 in the loss. Golden escapes with one of the ugliest wins in any division, going to 17-11 while Swordpoint will need to erase that game from memory quickly as they fall to 14-15.

Quincy failed to pull his bat back in time, falling at a pathetic 69 for the Knights as they take a loss on 524. Jason N. tacked on 822 for the Blades at the end, sealing their easy win at 2585. Swordpoint shows two sides in two games, returning to an even 15-15 record, while Terrace City dips to 10-13, straddling the drop zone line.

Rainmane did well on the opening turn for Midland, batting 495 to establish their offense pretty well. Precious answered with 770 for Pronger, giving the hosts a slight edge initially that she hopes will be well-supported. Leonardo shot back with 615 for the Predators to cover the deficit on the second attack. Zach hit 409 for the Tridents on his turn, losing a bit of the grip on their lead halfway through the game. Kiwi posted 487 for Terrace City, already an improvement over her previous outing. Starlight was much weaker with 176 for Pacific at the start, giving the hosts an early deficit. Jennifer flicked 279 for the Knights, taking replays for a technical error and a false start before a flurry of activity on her third try. Ms. Kitty got some of it back with 408 for the Volcanoes, but they are still behind. Oreo supplied 384 for Terrace City on her turn, keeping their lead firm for now. Twinkie I couldn't catch Pacific up with 153 on a poor turn, making the deficit pretty sizable with a player each to go. Melissa knocked 391 for the Knights, putting their total at 1541. Leonette hauled in 475 for the Volcanoes with good pace, but they took the loss at 1212. Terrace City has some magic against Pacific, with the former at 11-13 and the latter falling to 10-14.

Starlight saw her pace crumble early, but she rebuilt it and found 767 for Pacific to give them a sizable initial lead. Dreamy slugged 1085 in response for the Blades, pulling them ahead on a feisty second attack. Ms. Kitty slipped up on one of her swings, and it allowed the next offering to get behind her, ending her effort at 296 for the Volcanoes. Bandit faltered with 104 for Swordpoint this time, re-opening the door for the hosts to make a comeback. Leonette wasted the opportunity with a pitiful 54 for Pacific, drawing the ire of the fans and her teammates. Jason N. tacked on 296 at the end for the Blades, their final sitting at 1780. Chicky Phil chunked his turn at 101 for the Volcanoes, leaving them in a frustrating loss at 1218. Swordpoint rises to 16-15 now, while Pacific sinks again to 10-15, losing ground on the Hutton Cup zone.

Sierra followed up with 523 for the Stills on the second attack, adding a nice chunk of offense to their lead. Shawn answered with a massive 1228 for Midland, the great attack giving the hosts a significant lead. Zach picked up 392 for the Tridents in response, denting the deficit in a minor way. Rainmane covered the damage easily with 451 for the Predators, and if not for a bad swing, she would have had much more. Spot countered with 472 for Pronger, his best effort in awhile, but they have a long way to go to catch up. Leonardo faltered with a meager 66 for Midland, but their lead is not yet in danger of being approached.
