The addition of Princess in the 2014 draft after she was let go by the Victoria Spurs has changed the direction of the Tysini Hummingbirds. Once rumored to be relocated to Terrace City (home of the expansion Knights), the Hummingbirds have found success in the Southwest, previously the playground of the Lighton Prestige. Currently, the Hummingbirds are 21-11 on the season. At home, the Hummingbirds play their best, with an 11-2 record, while they are 10-9 on the road, acceptable but not great. They play in a cutthroat West Division, but they are holding near the top of the division with a 7-3 mark against other West teams.
Tysini is a powerful, mostly three-headed offense that collectively cranks out 1732 points per game, making them a tough team to beat consistently. The captain of this new-look, high-offense Tysini side is Princess, who supplies 484 points per game for 28% of the offense, with a consistency of about 1.3, giving her a sort of explosiveness. Behind her is a new addition to the team, Leandra, who came from the Harrison Specters in the 2015 draft. Leandra is a little better halfway through the season, clocking in at 496 points per game and 28.5% of the offense, while having a consistency of about 1.75, making her the much more stable option firmly planted in the middle of the lineup. Another newcomer, Charli XCX, supplements the top-two with 468 points per game herself, accounting for 27% of the offense. Charli hangs just over 1.6 on consistency, providing a middle ground in the lineup. The one weakness for the Hummingbirds is their longest-tenured player, Bright, who is in his third year with the team. Bright is at just 283 points per game, a measly 16.5% of the offense, and 1.4 consistency. If the game isn't sealed by the time it gets to Bright, there's no guarantees. That being said, the Hummingbirds look like a sure bet for the playoffs, even if they are in a tie for 6th place in the league that will resolve itself by the end of the week. This team, long mocked for high player turnover (no original members left) and lack of success, is set to succeed with a rebellious core for years to come.
