Waluigi looked better at first, but crashed out at 224 for Southwest after a high hit. Bear answered with 573 for Urban, looking strong in the process of taking a bigger lead for the visitors. Wario found a groove with 530 for Southwest, but they remain very slightly behind at the halfway mark. Lionel flubbed his turn with only 120 for Urban, leaving their lead exposed at the start. Solaris fired back with 286 for Southwest, giving them the lead with a player each to go. Chimpy flicked 506 for Urban, giving them a total of 1425. Brownie didn't cover it with 503, but she did enough to give Southwest the win at 1543. Southwest is 1-0, and Urban is 0-1 to start the A-Division year.
Pepsi Prestige Park, Lighton: The Southwest takes another game a short distance away, hosting the Eastern Hills this time. Rosalina chipped a poor 146 for Eastern Hills on the opening turn, setting them up poorly at the start. Wario put in a good lead-off with 441 for Southwest, establishing a noticeable lead for his side. Citrus failed to turn a backhand hit around, ending at 272 as things look bad for the Eastern Hills. Solaris posted 417 for Southwest this time, extending their lead halfway through the game. Vladimir had a promising start for Eastern Hills, but he mishit a ball to fall at 200 as they lose more ground. Brownie ripped 759 for Southwest, boosting their lead one more time late in the game. Cubby gathered 417 for Eastern Hills, setting their losing final score at 1035. Andrew debuted well, hitting 471 for Southwest to cap their win at 2088. Southwest rises to 2-0, while Eastern Hills sits at 0-1 at the start of the season.
Google Pitch at Union Ground, Modernistic: The Urban try again, this time facing the Northeast at home. Noelle looked good at first, but she sent a ball high and ended at 247 in a mediocre opener for Northeast. Marsell had an ugly debut with 177 for Urban, putting them behind a bit initially. Blizzard slugged 1019 for Northeast on the second attack, a massive burst to give them a significant lead. Bear answered with 324 for Urban, far from enough to cover a now-large deficit. Kirstin had just 96 for Northeast, putting them on cruise control for the rest of the game. Lionel made a mess of his chance to dent the deficit, producing a measly 58 points instead after a bad swing, hurting Urban's comeback chances. Sugar swung 343 for Northeast, icing their offense at 1705. Chimpy hauled in 478 for Urban, but they fell anyway at 1037. Urban is 0-2 on the year now, while Northeast starts the season 1-0.
Volkswagen Stadium, Viewpoint Sound: Coastal starts their season against a high-flying and short-rostered Southwest squad. Waluigi changed that with a miserable 42 for Southwest on this game's opening turn. Bright had only 192 for Coastal to start them off, giving them a small lead to build on. Wario answered with 257 for Southwest, slowly escalating the offense for the visitors. Dani kept Coastal ahead by covering this damage with 280 on her turn in her home park from this past season. Brownie showed a little fatigue in hitting 344 for Southwest this time out, but they're back ahead. Vincent slashed 570 for Coastal this time, building up a stronger lead late in the game. Sydney C. had a poor 99 for Southwest, closing their loss at 742 overall. Jason V. kept it simple with 32 to ice the Coastal win at 1074. Coastal starts the season 1-0, while Southwest drops to 2-1.
Verizon Field, Pacific: Coastal gets another home game farther to the south, meeting with the Eastern Hills team. Lize pulled in 400 for Eastern Hills to give them a stable start on offense. Bright fired back with a pacey 496 for Coastal, putting them ahead on the initial turn of the game. Rosalina ripped 762 for Eastern Hills on the second attack to restore a stronger lead for the visitors. Dani failed to catch up for Coastal, falling at 272 as they play from behind in the second half. Citrus crashed out at 132 for Eastern Hills, weakening their lead after the bad turn. Vincent shot back with 456 for Coastal, cutting into the deficit with a player each to go. Sarah tagged 343 for Eastern Hills, icing their offense at 1637. Beth failed to keep up, her 160 for Coastal sealing their loss at 1384. Both teams move to 1-1 on the year.
Ebay Center, Queens: Division A Week 1 ends with the Southeast hosting the Eastern Hills. Lize struck 402 for Eastern Hills on the first turn, a productive outing for the second straight game. Fuchsia took only 211 for Southeast in response, causing them to fall behind early on. Rosalina had a good pace but a short turn as she ended with 341 for Eastern Hills. Cassie made minor progress with 360 for Southeast, but they have plenty of ground left to cover at the midway point. Vladimir had just 177 for Eastern Hills, leaving their lead exposed after his turn. Hannah showed no mercy with 765 for Southeast, carrying them far ahead late in the game. Taylor M. crashed out at 48 for Eastern Hills, leaving them in a loss at 968. Leonardo finished with 256 for Southeast, giving them a total of 1592 in the win. Southeast is 1-0, while Eastern Hills drops back to 1-2.
