UPCL Cricket: Week 25 Part 2

We're back in action with the busy pre-Spring Break schedule. This segment starts with a rivalry game in...

Mercedes-Benz Field, Harrison: These Northeastern rivals meet for the first time this season with little to play for beyond pride. Sally couldn't get anything positive going, taking two false starts and then 115 points for Archtown. Slinks had the wicket taken out from under her, ending at 268 as Harrison takes a modest lead. Sleepy B. did very well for the Arrows, clubbing 636 to give them a better second effort. Twinkie II just barely covered the deficit with 490 for the Specters, putting the game at a dead heat midway through. Ruby collected 324 as Archtown is far from safe at this point. Sydney carried Harrison ahead with her 685, giving them a nice spot to work from late in the game. Dusky hit 487 to bring the Arrows to 1562 as their final, forcing a response from the hosts. Her sister, Brownie, provided that response in the form of 272 for the Specters, putting them at a win with 1715. Harrison gets the rivalry/division win to go to 19-30, while Archtown drops to 18-26. Things are getting congested near the .400 winning percentage mark.

Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: The Meteors defeated the Torpedoes in their home opener, but have gone cold recently on the road while their hosts for this game have charged up the standings. This game is on the Bubble Watch. Mr. Snowman exemplified that coldness with only 16 for Viewpoint Sound. Smudge sliced 376 to give Infinity a lead early on. Mams saw a good turn go bad on a deflection that brought her down with 209 for the Meteors. Shelley struggled early but settled in to score 361 for the Torpedoes to add to their lead. Zach flubbed his turn with only 135 for Viewpoint Sound, and they're not looking good. Gabe let the Infinity lead slip as he had a poor 16 points on a bad turn. Kelly flipped 439 to give the Meteors 799, forcing a response from the hosts, but not a large one. Whiskers did plenty with 200 to give the Torpedoes 953 to claim the low-scoring win. Infinity has entered a tie for fourteenth with the Cascades at 25-23, while Viewpoint Sound has lost ten straight road games to drop to 18-28.

Pepsi Prestige Park, Lighton: The Cascades get both a chance to sweep the Prestige and reclaim sole possession of fourteenth if they can win this hard battle on the Bubble Watch. Jasmine drilled 586 to give Freedom a very solid opening attack. Acorn couldn't keep up with only 128 for Lighton, putting them behind early. Stinky tacked on 359 for the Cascades in his reliable performance. Spirit fumbled her way to a measly 74 for the Prestige as they are turning in a poor game at a bad time. Roxy failed to secure the Freedom lead, managing only 144 on her turn. Twinkie I didn't do a lot with 209 for Lighton, chipping a small amount off the deficit. Nikolai got beat with a ball just above his bat to end his tun at 311, giving the Cascades an even 1400 as their final. Lydia took a lot of time to score only 259, as the Prestige suffered a loss with 670. Freedom pulls into fourteenth with a record of 26-23, while Lighton is only a bit ahead of them at 27-21 in a tie for twelfth with the Waves.

UPS Ground, Maplewood: The Lumberjacks want to salvage a split with the road-weary Meteors in a third straight game on the Bubble Watch. Mr. Snowman batted 298 for Viewpoint Sound in a decent showing. Fluffina answered with 250 for Maplewood, not enough to cover the deficit but good enough to make it close. Mams struck another 354 as the Meteors put together a decent game so far. She then bowled a wicked knuckler that tied Bryant up and took out his wicket, leaving him with a dumbfounding 49 for the Lumberjacks. We don't usually mention the bowler's work, but this was a case where it couldn't be ignored. Zach tapped another 208 for Viewpoint Sound to maintain their lead. Diddley got stuffed with only 80 for Maplewood as they turn in a terrible effort in a critical game. Kelly ripped 770 for the Meteors, giving them a final of 1630. Cubby tried a rally with 748 for the Lumberjacks, but they fell with 1127 after suffering so much early damage. Viewpoint Sound snapped their ten-game road losing streak to jump to 19-28, while Maplewood's three-game winning streak ends with them going to 20-20. With so many games left, the Lumberjacks are at high risk of fatigue.

Google Pitch at Union Ground, Modernistic: The Spiders want and need a sweep of the Union, if only to correct their road tailspin as they struggle in the Bubble Watch. Shadow got a bit shaky and ended with 180 for Web City. Juno fired back with a crisp 387 for Modernistic, giving them the initial lead. Rainmane exactly covered the deficit with her 207 for the Spiders, but that's just window dressing right now. Ms. Puppy set the new leading margin with her 361, another solid but unspectacular effort from the veteran. Sugar had only 96 as Web City just can't shake this slump. Chimpy pulled in 410 to keep Modernistic's offense consistent as they pull away from the visitors. Shiny lifted a ball too high and ended with 199 for the Spiders, producing their final of 682 in a sixth-straight road loss. Puff I iced the Union win with 414 of her own for a collective 1572, ending a four-game home losing streak. Modernistic is up to 20-30 with the upset win, while Web City sinks to 23-27. With the loss, we'll say that the Sharpshooters and Spiders are temporarily off the bubble.

AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The Waves have a chance to sweep the Shores, which is an intro that could be taken a different way as well. Bear failed to limit the bad deflections, and had only 82 for Whitewater to begin the game. Snuggle had too much on his backhand, scoring 237 for Oceanside to take a minor lead. Twinkie III brought the small contingent of Shores fans to their feet with 1141 on her turn, including a haphazard backwards flip that worked to continue the effort. Bells chipped 335 for the Waves as they have fallen far behind. Cheddar answered with 383 to maintain the Whitewater lead. Alyssa closed much of the gap with 980 for Oceanside, setting up a tight finish. Wild Thing collected 361 to put the Shores at a final of 1967, definitely within reach for the hosts. Pounce soared with 510 to give the Waves 2062 in a gutsy win. Oceanside improves to 28-21, while Whitewater will have a losing season, now at a 20-33 record.

Verizon Field, Pacific: The recently-hot Rockers face a stern challenge in their first meeting of the yer with the Volcanoes. Misty swung a nice 490 to give Westside a good start. Starlight couldn't catch up with her contribution of 304 to the Pacific offense, giving them some catch up work to do. Goatee got a bit too hyper, posting 211 as she sent a ball into the sky for the Rockers. Ms. Kitty belted 1006 to give the Volcanoes the lead, her second four-digit home game in a row. Midnight, a one-time Volcano herself, had an average 274 as Westside remains behind later in the game. Jack provided 420 for Pacific to extend their lead a bit more ahead of the final players. Chicky Phil hit a nice 383, but the Rockers were not up for this challenge, falling with 1358. Leonette didn't help much with 80 for the Volcanoes, but they closed with 1810 in the win. Pacific jumps back into fifth place with a 32-19 record, while Westside drops to 21-30 in a decent battle.

Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: The Surfers beat the Torpedoes early in the year, but the Bubble Watch team is better than ever at this time. Smudge batter 543 to give Infinity a solid opening attack in a big West Division game. Watermelon wasn't the most graceful, but she had 575 to give Pearl a slight edge. Shelley carved up 299 for the Torpedoes, leaving them a bit vulnerable this time. Neopolitan did worse, putting the Surfers behind as she hit a paltry 37. Gabe swatted 519 for Infinity, helping them boost their lead at a good time. Wings got 385 back for Pearl, but they still trail as the final players come to bat. Whiskers was too slow to save a rolling ball, ending with 188 to give the Torpedoes a final of 1549. Cowzart nearly did it, rallying for 515 but ultimately leaving the Surfers at 1512, narrowly short of the needed points. Infinity gets a huge win to improve to 26-23 on a six-game win streak that has them back in a tie for fourteenth, while Pearl is 27-20 and just narrowly holding onto tenth place.

Tridents Park, sponsored by Ford, Pronger: The Tridents long losing streak at home looks likely to continue against a highly-ranked Blades team seeking a sweep. Snowball embarrassed herself, getting tangled and ending with a measly 36 for Swordpoint. Strawberry gave Pronger the initial lead with a common 351. Dreamy posted 371 to cover the deficit for the Blades. Hoot answered with 400 for the Tridents, keeping them firmly in the lead. Shawn faltered with 224 for Swordpoint, as it dawns on them they may be getting upset in this game. Precious strengthened the lead a little more with 317 for Pronger, adding more pressure. Stealth had only 248 as the Blades lost with 879 as their final, a low mark for the West Division leaders. Paps had a quick finish with 128 to give the Tridents 1196 in their win, snapping a twelve game losing streak at home. Pronger's huge upset earned them a season split and put their record at 17-31, while Swordpoint is 31-17 and now feel the Hummingbirds and Volcanoes just below them for the division lead.

Ebay Center, Queens: The Bubble Watch Lumberjacks begin a stretch of heavy travel as the head south with the hopes of getting a sweep on the Flames. Fluffina got taken down with chaos near her bat, but not until she slugged 1135 for Maplewood, giving them a great opening. Crystal couldn't get much back with only 145 for Queens. Bryant's innocuous double-tap ended up hurting him, as it put his turn into official category, where it quickly ended in a pathetic 7 points for the Lumberjacks. Kayla had a meager 73 for the Flames, doing nothing to help out. Diddley scored 217 for Maplewood, as all players except Fluffina have come in a bit low so far. Max couldn't do much as his backhand sent a ball behind the wicket, which rolled to stop him at 135 for Queens. Cubby's 256 kept the status quo intact, giving the Lumberjacks 1615 in what should be a win barring a miraculous effort from the hosts. Paige did well with 479 for the Flames, but they suffered defeat with 832 overall. Maplewood gets a critical win for their playoff hopes, now at 21-20, while Queens falls to 17-33, officially securing a losing season.

Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: Ending the segment, bitter territorial rivals battle, with the return match just 32 games away next week in Queens. Crystal looked unorthodox in her batting, but produced 328 for Queens. Frosty churned out 554 to give Royal a lead early in the game. Kayla misread a bounce for the Flames, and had only 99 as she failed to cover the deficit. Jake couldn't get separation for the Crowns, disappointing the fans with a measly 33. Max pulled Queens ahead with 424 on his turn, making things interesting in the latter half of the game. Marsell turned an optional replay into 208 for Royal, not enough to regain the lead but good enough to make it a close ending ahead. Paige spiked 375 to give the Flames 1226 as their final, leaving it up to the hosts to decide the game. Nightfur fell short with only 190 for the Crowns, and their losing total stood at 985. Queens will get the chance to sweep next week, jumping to 18-33, while Royal is 16-31 with the loss.

I don't know if I can complete the week tonight, but I'll give it a shot. If not, part 3 should be up tomorrow at some point.

UPCL Cricket: Week 25 Part 1

We're back as the schedule is in acceleration mode still. We'll see how much of this week we can get done today. First up is...

Starbucks Cup, Archtown: It's the first meeting of the year for these teams. Snuggle wasted no time in setting the tone favorably for Oceanside, smacking 694 on his opening turn. Sally replied with a decent 292 for Archtown, but they'll start from pretty far behind. Bells lined another quick 619 for the Waves, keeping their lead quite solid. Sleepy B. charged back with 470 for the Arrows, but the deficit has grown a bit again. Alyssa slipped up a bit with 144 for Oceanside, potentially allowing their lead to lose some steam here. Ruby had 209 for Archtown in an uninspiring turn that didn't help much. Pounce posted 471 to bring the Waves to their final of 1928, which will be tough to top. A deflected ball landed just out of reach of Dusky's backhand, ending her effort at 151 as the Arrows fall with 1122. Oceanside is now 27-20 in a tie for eleventh in the league, while Archtown falls back to 18-25.

McDonald's Pitch at Pirates Park, Atlantic: The Waves stay on the road in the East for a second game in a doubleheader, which will clear up a lot for the middle seeds. Snuggle didn't handle his turn so well this time, with only 99 for Oceanside. Delila staked out a decent Atlantic lead with her 448. Bells just barely covered the deficit with 368 for the Waves, keeping things interesting. Amber ripped 599 to boost the Pirates lead at the halfway mark. Alyssa got a lot of it back with her 407 for Oceanside, but they still trail. Americus easily covered the damage with 757 for Atlantic, and they appear prepared to take the win. Pounce had only 63 this time as the travel showed on the Waves, who lost with 937 total. Dominic mashed 394 for the Pirates, putting them at 2198 in a big win. Atlantic takes eleventh all to themselves at 25-18 on a four-game winning streak, while Oceanside is back to thirteenth with a 27-21 record.

Coca-Cola Field, Boston: This is the third straight game with opponents meeting each other for the first time this season. Jasmine played a smooth game, scoring 399 in her appearance here. Patches covered it with 578 for Boston, with her only mistake being an accidental back-swing to take out her wicket. Stinky answered with 328 for the Cascades, covering the deficit going the other way. Puff II couldn't do the same, and her 139 left the Swifts ever-so-slightly behind in the game. Roxy slipped up with 113 for Freedom, and they are vulnerable now. Gradley turned a dangerous start into a massive success with 935 for Boston, helping them to gain a large lead late in the game. Nikolai's 311 was far from enough for the Cascades, and they took the loss on 1151 total. Sweetheart flicked 206 for the Swifts, giving them 1858 in a fourth straight home win. Boston has third place to themselves at 34-17 now, while Freedom drops to 25-22, in the tier directly above the bubble.

Capital City SuperCenter: The Center Division takes the spotlight in this Bubble Watch, with the Rockers looking to double up on their previous low-scoring win in this series back at home. Misty got beat on a high bounce, but produced 564 to give Westside a strong start. Chris managed only 147 for Capital City, and they will play from behind. Goatee slammed another 688 to pad the Rockers lead significantly. Missy's inconsistency caught her again, and she had a meager 51 for the Sharpshooters. Midnight ended abruptly as she chipped a ball out of bounds and ended on 147 for Westside, who are still in firm control. Sprinkles made an impact with 418 for Capital City, but the deficit remains large. Chicky Phil did not do well with only 115 for the Rockers against his former team, but they finished with a nice 1514. Dani got jammed with 292 for the Sharpshooters, and they lost with 908. Westside gets the sweep here in an upset, going to 20-29 and a surprising 9-9 division mark, while Capital City is 25-29 at the very bottom of the bubble.

Nestle's Warriors Park, Central: The Rockers play a doubleheader, and they look to sweep the defending champions after winning their home opener against the Warriors. Misty had 367 for Westside, but had a ball go out of bounds off the base of her bat. Twilight couldn't pick the corner, ending with a measly 98 for Central. Goatee added 456 for the Rockers to build up the lead a bit more. Dustin got cut down at 247 for the Warriors, who are having an unusually bad game. Midnight slapped another 480 as Westside is in good form for this game. Noelle swung and missed on two balls but recovered, only to see the first clip out of bounds and put her at 171 for Central, who are far behind with a player each to go. Chicky Phil belted 879 to cap the Rockers offense at 2182 in what should be a win for the season sweep. Gizmo put up 476 for the Warriors, but they ended at 992 in a brutal loss. Westside might be making a late run up the standings now, standing at 21-29, while Central drops shockingly to 30-19 in eighth place as a four-game winning streak is snapped for them.

Nike Field, Commerce: The Tradewinds want to sweep their Center Division rivals after beating the Defenders early in the season in Southridge. Boots had a modest 140 to begin the game for Southridge. Tigerette swatted 685 as her offense continues to pace Commerce quite a bit. Debby cancelled it out with 686 for the Defenders, but their lead is tenuous. Ice Cream answered with 364 for the Tradewinds, giving them a marginal lead at the halfway point. Jessica hauled in 703 for Southridge, putting a lot of pressure on the hosts. Lionel got beat on a series of deflections, giving him only 112 as Commerce enters a panic late in the game. Shaggy had a middling 230 to place the Defenders at 1759 overall. Lorde tried a tally, but ended with 218 as deflections sealed a poor fate for the Tradewinds, who lost with 1379, their third loss in their last four home games. Southridge gets a surprising season split with the second place team, going to 19-29, while Commerce is 36-15 after the loss.

The Intel Pitch, Diamond: The Gems bring in the Union with the intent of sweeping them in a less compelling match on the schedule. Juno had a meager 96 to begin the game for Modernistic, done in by a deflection. Smokey's home struggles reached another week as he hit a pathetic 48 for Diamond. Ms. Puppy's 496 gave the Union a much more confident lead the second time around. The Gems got just 144 from Citrus, who is developing a slump of her own. Chimpy piled on with 481 for Modernistic as they pull away in this game. Pedey did nothing to help with a measly 40 for Diamond, a team that can't catch a break. Puff I unleashed 661 for the Union, icing a strong team effort at 1734. Cassandra collected 376 for the Gems, but they lost with 608 as their offense wilts late in the year. Modernistic's win takes them to 19-30, where they are now tied with Diamond on the same record, except the latter has lost their last four games.

HP Field, Eastside: The Sharks want to right their ship in this Bubble Watch game in which they have a chance to sweep the lowly Tridents. Strawberry carved up 776 for Pronger to get things going. Graham saw a ball get knocked down early in his turn, and he had only 81 for Eastside. Hoot hit a reasonable 296 to add bit to the Tridents lead. Chelsea did a bit better with 364 for the Sharks, making a slight cut into the deficit. Precious continued to nurse the Pronger lead with a calm 281 in a serviceable appearance. Taylor proved a bit reckless with the bat, double-hitting a ball that went out of bounds to end her turn at 211 for a struggling Eastside. Paps crushed 995 to cement a Tridents victory at 2348 in a huge effort. Niki pummeled 881 for the Sharks, but that only got them halfway there, and they fell to defeat with 1537, which makes it look better than it was. Pronger salvaged a season split with the win that takes them to 16-31, while Eastside is 25-27 as the bubble gets stretched thinner again.

Chevrolet Field, Everton: The Eagles seek a sweep after a thrilling high-scoring win over the Pirates in Atlantic, with these two East Division teams both wanting a bit more ground in the playoff race. Delila spiked 399 for Atlantic in a solid opener for the potential MVP candidate. Goldy didn't do her best, but her 537 put Everton noticeably ahead early on. Amber faltered with only 49 for the Pirates, and this one might be getting away from them. Puff III also struggled, but her 64 added a sliver more to the Eagles lead. Americus got stopped at 122 for Atlantic, failing to cover the deficit. Cleo pounded 1031 for Everton to solidify their lead. Dominic had only 177 as the Pirates fell with 747, getting annihilated by the best in the league. Blizzard kept it simple with 240 for the Eagles, giving them 1872 in their twelfth straight home win (marking a second 12-game home winning streak this season). Everton continues to dominate at 42-10, while Atlantic drops to 25-19 as their four-game winning streak is snapped.

Toyota Pitch, Freedom: The Cascades want to sweep the Defenders after spoiling their home opener. Boots found a groove early in her turn and didn't let it go, pillaging her way to 919 for Southridge. Jasmine got beat by the same ball twice, swinging and missing before spiking it into her wicket to put her at 112 for Freedom. Debby added 320 to the Defenders lead in a decent showing. Stinky struggled as the pitch got cluttered, and he had only 206 for the Cascades, who are far behind halfway through the game. J. Garcia picked up 434 for Southridge in a strong effort, keeping their lead in check. Roxy couldn't undo that damage, hitting 368 for Freedom as they are desperate now. Shaggy proved merciless for the Defenders, clobbering 1141 to give them 2814 as their grand total. Nikolai had only 260 as the Cascades dropped a brutal loss with 946 overall. Southridge has answered the bell this week, now up to 20-29, while Freedom is at 25-23, and they are officially on the bubble.

Amazon Field, Golden: The Pilots look for a sweep of the Specters as hot at home meets cold everywhere to end this segment of games. Slinks hit 266 for Harrison in a fairly normal performance for her this season. Valencia clubbed 633 to establish a lead for Golden. Twinkie II churned out 1007 for the Specters, covering the deficit in a big way. Dusty lifted 913 in response to restore a Pilots lead. Sydney rallied for 557, again giving Harrison a lead in this run-and-gun thriller of a game. Strut did just enough to cover the deficit with his 344, and this one could go either way as the final players come to bat. Brownie sliced 456 to give the Specters 2286, forcing a sizable response from the hosts. A. Charlton was not up to task with only 209 to give the Pilots 2099 in a loss. Harrison pulls off a massive upset to go 18-30 as their four game losing streak ends, while Golden is down to 31-20, snapping a seven-game winning streak at home.

That was quite the set of games for the 25th week of the season. More to come in the early parts of this week.

UPCL Cricket: Week 24 Part 3

We're back as we try to quickly end Week 24 and get a jump on Week 25 during tonight. No promises on either count, but it would be in the best interest of the league. We begin the final segment, and the march to three-quarters completion for the season, with...

Microsoft Pitch at Del Sur: The Torpedoes get another appearance in the Bubble Watch, playing another lowly side. Smudge did well with 509 to establish Infinity early in this game. Panda answered with 304 for Southern, and they are in the familiar trailing position. Shelley blasted an extra 1363 for the Torpedoes, giving them a huge lead. Shannon fired back with 432 for the Monarchs, but they're still far behind at the halfway mark. Gabe went with 304 for Infinity, keeping it simple to maintain the lead. Kirstin failed to give chase, scoring a weak 72 for Southern as they succumb to another probable loss. Whiskers poked 211, giving the Torpedoes a final of 2387 in a strong team effort. Nicole had a mediocre 224 to bring the Monarchs to 1032 in the loss. Infinity gets a division win and strengthened their grip on sixteenth at 24-23, while Southern is 13-39.

GE Stadium, Southridge: It's the first meeting of the year between these two under-performing sides. Sally fired 558 to give Archtown a very good start to the game. Boots replied with 368 for Southridge, keeping things relatively close early on. Sleepy B. replied with a crisp 570 to keep the Arrows in control of the game. Debby had 298 for the Defenders, but they're losing ground as the game is half-completed. Ruby collected 433 as Archtown puts together a good game on the road here. J. Garcia faltered with 150 as Southridge resigns themselves to likely defeat. Dusky had an awkward 217 to put the Arrows at 1778 for their final, but it should be enough anyway. Shaggy had a paltry 117 to give the Defenders only 933 in the loss. Archtown goes to 18-24, while Southridge is 18-29.

Blades Fusion ProGlide Park, Swordpoint: Massive game here as the West leader hosts the Center leader for the first time this season. Tigerette's western rampage continued as she pummeled 814 for Commerce to begin this game. Snowball had a rocky start and didn't correct much as she hit 231 for Swordpoint. Ice Cream got a bit too much under the ball as well, cancelling out the damage with 248 for the Tradewinds. Dreamy scooped only 149 as the Blades can't get their offense going against the good bowling of the visitors. Lionel lost it with a hanger-on for his backhand, causing the stumps to go unprotected to the next offering, which ended his offense at 241 for Commerce. Shawn pulled back with 368 for Swordpoint, but they're in a lot of trouble still. Lorde faltered with a meager 69 for the Tradewinds, putting them at a final of 1372. Stealth had just 84 for the Blades, icing their losing total at 832. Commerce successfully fended off the attack on their second place standing to move up to 35-14, while Swordpoint missed a big opportunity and fell to 31-16 in a virtual tie for third with the Swifts.

Audi Knights Pitch, Terrace City: The Knights seek a sweep here, as well as the hopes of retaining their hottest team in the league title against a high-powered offense. Acorn suffered a bad deflection early in his turn, and scored just 81 for Lighton. Kiwi lined 594 for Terrace City, staking out a nice lead. Spirit also had an abrupt end due to a deflection, and she produced a measly 80 for the Prestige. Jennifer tallied another 321 for the Knights, boosting their lead a little. Twinkie I cut into the deficit with her 449 for Lighton, but they'll need a bit more than that. Oreo slipped with 67 for Terrace City, leaving the door a bit open for the visitors to rally back. Lydia couldn't do it with a pathetic 48 for the Prestige, sealing their loss with 658. Stripes nearly succeeded with the batting acrobatics, but she lifted a ball and ended with 471, giving the Knights a final of 1453. Terrace City has been streaky but they're also pretty good, winners of ten straight and owners of a 30-20 record, while Lighton falls to 27-20 with the setback.

Apple Park, Todavía: The Stills look to complete a sweep after their week 2 win over the Rockers in Westside, and this is a Bubble Watch game. Westside's Misty started the spoiler effort with 427 on a good showing. Easter struggled with only 48 for Todavía, putting them quite a bit behind early on. Goatee knocked another 383 for the Rockers, and they are playing well in this game. Sierra got some back with 463 for the Stills, but they still trail halfway through the game. Midnight let things slip a bit with her 283 for Westside, making it interesting now. Leonardo unleashed 784 for Todavía, giving them a noticeable lead with a player each to go. Chicky Phil had only 176 for the Rockers, giving them 1271 as he failed to cover the deficit and they took a loss. Sparkles hit 465 to ice the gritty comeback win for the Stills at 1760. Todavía showed character to get to 26-28 on the year, while Westside collapsed to 18-29.

Cisco Tysini Field, Tysini: Two big-name West Division teams meet up here. The Surfers won the first time, but they are heading into a tough road stadium. Watermelon had a bit of a soft effort with 295 for Pearl, which may prove costly later. Princess nearly got overwhelmed early on, but settled into a groove to pound out 680 for Tysini. Neopolitan covered the deficit with 558 for the Surfers, keeping the game competitive. Leandra carved up 615 more to keep the Hummingbirds ahead at the halfway mark. Wings lost it with 48 for Pearl, allowing them to get into real danger. Charli poked 280 for Tysini to maintain the lead again, and they look set up for victory here. Cowzart tried to rally back with 334 for the Surfers, but they came up short at 1235. Bright spiked 481 for the Hummingbirds, defeating his brother's (Wings') team with 2056 total. Tysini gets a big division win to go to 30-18 in a tie for sixth with the Warriors, while dumping Pearl down to 27-18 in a tie for ninth with the white-hot Knights.

Sprint Pitch, Victoria: The Tradewinds' third stop on their road trip sees them eyeing another sweep. Tigerette struck 327 for Commerce to begin this match. Spice answered with 407 for Victoria to give them a slight lead. Ice Cream produced 336 for the Tradewinds, giving them a smaller lead this time. It worked out, as the Spurs got only 21 from B. Chapman, and they now trail halfway through the game. Lionel slammed 807 in response for Commerce, extending their lead to a significant margin. Yekaterina had only 136 for Victoria, and they seem less likely to win as the final players step up to bat. Lorde's 306 put the Tradewinds at their final of 1776, which should be enough for them to cement second place a bit more. Kavan slipped up, taking out his stump when he had 610 for the Spurs, and they lost with 1174. Commerce improves again to 36-14 as winners of five straight road games, while Victoria falls to 18-31.

Charlton couldn't handle a busy pitch, taking just 139 as the Pilots took the loss with 734 as their final. Shadow quickly fell with only 51 for Web City after trying to match Spice's pace and failing miserably. B. Chapman had a reasonable 266 for the Spurs to manage their lead. Rainmane got jammed with 21 for the Spiders, and they have no hope for this game. Yekaterina tapped 272 as Victoria is set to cruise to the conclusion of the game.
