The American Rebels hosting the Seoul Crushers. These two teams will also meet in South Korea later this week. Natal Badillo led off with 331 for Seoul. Axel Cools ended up with 112 for American. Gwandoya Makeba supplied the Crushers with 408 points. Louvel Lefevre chipped 263 for the Rebels, keeping them somewhat close. Leandro Gamboa ripped 454 for Seoul, padding the lead. American got just 24 points from Sander Lambert, falling behind even more. Max Jennings ended up no better with a measly 25 for the Crushers. Irsyad Sudjana answered with a strong 433 for the Rebels, edging them back into the fray. Frank Schmidt swatted 454 for Seoul, extending the lead. Sabino Chacon got sidetracked and ended up with 238 for American, making things tougher for the hosts. Zdenko Jansky slugged 808 for the Crushers, giving them a final of 2480. The Rebels lost with 1168 after only 98 from Cisco Solorio. Seoul jumps to 5-8 while American hits halfway at 8-4 and faces a tough schedule as they regress to the mean.
In Europe, the Amsterdam Hotstove welcome the Prague Checkmates. Pancho Barrios knocked 320 for Prague to lead off. Jerry Burke kept Amsterdam in range with 280. Lucila Zavala clobbered 456 for the Checkmates, adding onto the lead. Yaozu Miao belted 654 to give the Hotstove a surprising lead. Hyunjae Kwak managed only 144 for Prague, leaving them in trouble. Carlos Barajas answered with 160 for Amsterdam. Corentin Aerts smacked 455 to pull the Checkmates back into the game. Veto Casas squandered the answer for the Hotstove, hitting a measly 30 points. Darryl Estrada scored just 138 for Prague, doing little to secure the lead. Andrew Reynolds pulled Amsterdam very close with his 353. Rayan Carranza supplied 177 to give the Checkmates a final of 1690. Manolito Avalos got shut down with 117 for the Hotstove, and they lost at 1594. Prague goes to 7-7 while Amsterdam is only 3-16.
Over in Southeast Asia, the Bangkok Sixes bring in the American Rebels. Axel Cools produced 256 for American to start the game. Firdoze Uns countered with 368 for Bangkok, giving them a slight lead. Louvel Lefevre had only 106 for the Rebels, putting them behind early on. Gilbert Berry batted 295 for the Sixes, adding onto the lead. Sander Lambert struggled to 44 points for American, suffering a midseason swoon. Aleix Nieto scored 248 for Bangkok. Irsyad Sudjana fell with 129 for the Rebels, as they appear on course to lose again. Zuri Okafor matched that pace, hitting 124 for the Sixes to keep the status quo steady. Sabino Chacon mustered only 130 for American, continuing their offensive crumble. Rodas Nunez put the game out of reach, blasting 704 for Bangkok. After 177 from Cisco Solorio, the Rebels reached 842 in their brutal loss. Luis Godinez iced the 1932-point effort with 193 for the Sixes in the win. Bangkok is now 10-3 while American is 8-5 and falling fast.
No rest for the weary, as the Brussels Chocolatiers host the American Rebels as action returns to Europe. Axel Cools rumbled to 760 for American for a solid start. Patrido Salazar had only 80 for Brussels, digging them an early hole. Louvel Lefevre failed to solidify the lead, posting just 60 for the Rebels. Florent Claes lined 128 for the Chocolatiers, getting a few points back. Sander Lambert chipped 122 for American, keeping their lead solid. Dobromil Zeman hit a pathetic 33 for Brussels in the low-scoring game. Irsyad Sudjana blasted 800 for the Rebels, extending their lead big time. Rodas Cazares also had just 33 for the Chocolatiers, as the hosts get embarrassed thoroughly. Sabino Chacon reverted to low scores as well, hitting 66 for American. Eric Zaragoza saved a bit of face for Brussels, smacking a quick 400 to make them more respectable. Cisco Solorio hit a meager 42 for the Rebels, giving them 1850 total. The Chocolatiers had only 796 after 122 from Jaturun Choen, taking a pathetic loss. American got back on track at 9-5 while Brussels continued to plummet to 6-11.
Down in Venezuela, the Caracas Hitmen welcome the Johannesburg Lions. Wiebe Becker couldn't control his bat, producing only 128 for Johannesburg. A bad bounce ended Vitaya Grichson's effort at 51 for Caracas, keeping the game low and close. Normando Alonso stumbled to 96 for the Lions in his homecoming game, clearly getting tired of the slog of his season coming down from its lofty start. Barasa Contee posted 250 for the Hitmen against his hometown team. Ken Howard managed only 52 for Johannesburg as the scores begin to get unbelievably bad. Noppadon Gruemor bopped 272 for Caracas, keeping them in charge. Lucio Adame came through with 375 for the Lions, making a game out of what had been a mess up to that point. Trevor Watson shot straight back with 368 for the Hitmen, keeping them in the lead. Oshri Aharonov turned out 560 for Johannesburg, saving their collective bacon for now. Maynard Cabagnot fired back with 439 for Caracas, retaking a smaller lead. Pieter Hendrickx slapped 391 to give the Lions a final of 1602. Bojing Luo melted under pressure with only 28 for the Hitmen, giving them a loss with 1408. Johannesburg fought hard for the win that made them 8-7 while dumping Caracas to 3-10.
Into part 2, we have the Guatemala Conquistadors bringing in the Bangkok Sixes. Firdoze Uns put up 327 for Bangkok to start, a solid effort. Frisco Romero slapped 456 for Guatemala, giving them the early lead. Gilbert Berry got cut down at 124 on a bad bounce, hurting the Sixes quite a bit. Eustacio Zarraga ripped 443 for the Conquistadors, adding onto their lead. Aleix Nieto supplied Bangkok with 496 to keep them within striking range. Kenzo Hashimoto left Guatemala vulnerable after getting twisted and ending up with 72 points. Zuri Okafor knocked 112 for the Sixes, keeping the game excessively close. Curtis Caldwell gave the Conquistadors a lead again with 224. Rodas Nunez faltered with only 25 for Bangkok, leaving them in serious trouble late in the game. Azul Mora also struggled, hitting only 72 for Guatemala as the game turned ugly late. With a measly 96 points, Luis Godinez tossed the game away for the Sixes, as they lost with 1180. Adrien Laurent's 49 worked to give the Conquistadors the win at 1316. Guatemala jumps to 8-6 while Bangkok falls to 10-4.
Down in South Africa, the Johannesburg Lions host the Melbourne Renegades. Charlie Thompson crushed 807 for Melbourne, putting them in a good position to start from. Wiebe Becker couldn't keep pace, with just 87 for Johannesburg. Theodore White knocked 456 more for the Renegades, keeping them in firm control. Normando Alonso belted 603 in response for the Lions. Sancho Ramos batted 321 for Melbourne, adding onto the lead. Ken Howard grabbed 272 for Johannesburg, keeping pace somewhat with the visitors. Rana Naqvi had only 152 for the Renegades, as their offense starts to fade. Lucio Adame slugged 778 for the Lions, pulling them to a very thin lead. Sikke Eichel responded with 466 for Melbourne. Oshri Aharonov only had 160 for Johannesburg, squandering the chance to catch up. Stanley Watts posted a measly 103 to give the Renegades 2305 total. Pieter Hendrickx took only 183 back, leaving the Lions short at 2083 in their loss. Melbourne moves to 11-5 while pushing Johannesburg to 8-8.
Again in Europe, the Madrid Toros welcome the Bangkok Sixes. Firdoze Uns just didn't have it this time, with a measly 28 for Bangkok. Spencer Howard slapped 207 for Madrid to begin. Gilbert Berry slugged 668 to pull the Sixes into the lead. Pepillo Gamboa's 394 for the Toros made it a fairly close game at this stage. Aleix Nieto posted 331 for Bangkok, giving them a more solid lead. Lennert Verheyen slugged 932 for Madrid, giving them a massive lead after wiping out the deficit. Zuri Okafor managed 185 for the Sixes, who are in deep trouble now. Thabo Chahine tacked on 308 for the Toros, as they play from a position of strength. Rodas Nunez took 184 for Bangkok, as the game slipped away from their grip. Guillem Gamboa lined 279 for Madrid, coasting to the finish at this point. Luis Godinez had 233 to give the Sixes a final score of 1629 in the heavy loss. Martin Badillo iced the Toros win with 352, giving them 2472 in the victory. Madrid moves to 10-8 while Bangkok drops to 10-5.
Finally, the Manila Pacmen bring in the Bangkok Sixes in the league's 100th game. Firdoze Uns had only 160 for Bangkok, leaving them weak at the start as fatigue becomes a big threat. Haejun Ki's midseason meltdown continue with only 28 for Manila here. Gilbert Berry pasted 379 for the Sixes to give them a bigger lead. Porfirio Cazares of all people swatted 757 for the Pacmen, giving them a nice lead. Aleix Nieto couldn't respond big, hitting only 130 for Bangkok as they fell behind again. Sander Verheyen left Manila vulnerable with only 64 points to his name this game. Zuri Okafor lined 305 for the Sixes, giving them a narrow lead. Gerben Bovelt covered the deficit but not much more with 209 for the Pacmen, making the game even closer. Rodas Nunez chipped 112 for Bangkok, making it uncomfortably close. Dries Renard kept Manila in front with 108, but the plot thickened with a player each to go. Luis Godinez returned to form with a stunning 531 for the Sixes, putting them at 1617 total. Richard Miller had only 128 for the Pacmen, giving them a losing total of 1294. Bangkok bounced back to 11-5 while Manila dropped to 5-8.
