Tournament X Qualifiers - Day 25

We're set for another full day of action. Up first...

Southern Monarchs captain Panda plays Rotation with the silver cue. Panda had a bad start to the day, with 34 shots and just one error as positional play completely failed him. Atlantic Pirates hotshot Isabella goes second today, using the purple cue for 10-ball. Isabella made a bold play, double-potting the 4 and 10 to the left corners to end in 8 shots with no errors. Back in Rotation, the Lighton Prestige's Spirit plays with the silver cue. Spirit didn't fare very well, racking up five errors in 30 shots as scratching was a major issue. Boston Swifts veteran Puff II is the 61st player to finish qualifying, using the blue cue in Accuracy. Puff II had three balls on the break, but one error and inconsistency put her at 16 shots for the game. Overall, she had 163 shots and 9 errors during qualifying. Everton Eagles newcomer Vincent shoots 13-ball with the silver cue to end the first group. Vincent showed no fear, taking one error for an illegally potted ball but still closing with 21 shots.

Archtown Arrows newcomer Klaus also shoots 13-ball with the silver cue. Klaus couldn't adapt to the game as it stood, needing 28 shots with two errors to clear the rack. Southern Monarchs rookie Molly is up for Rotation with the red cue. Molly had an awful start and never recovered, needing eight errors and 42 shots to finish. Midland Predators star Rainmane is the 62nd player done with qualifying, using the silver cue in Accuracy. Rainmane made a pair on the break, but faded to 19 shots and no errors in the game for totals of 179 shots and 12 errors throughout qualifying. North Modernistic Nighthawks newcomer Gizmo will take up the blue cue for 15-ball. A lack of positioning put Gizmo with three errors and 31 shots in the game. Golden Pilots veteran Sparkles does Rotation with the silver cue in what's looking like a bad day for long-form styles. Sparkles showed decent control in 28 shots, taking just one error but rarely stringing any long runs together.

Pronger Tridents newcomer Prism leads off group three with the purple cue in Accuracy, the 63rd player to complete qualifiers. Prism was steady with 16 shots and no errors in the game, for totals of 185 shots and 19 errors. Tysini Hummingbirds newcomer Hughbert is up for 13-ball with the green cue in today's 12th game. Hughbert held his own, but late caution pushed him up to 26 shots with one error. Before the lunch break, Southridge Defenders newcomer Luigi plays 13-ball with the silver cue. Luigi finished in 22 shots, just taking one late error for missed contact. When we return, Modernistic Union third-year Kodiak shoots 10-ball with the green cue. Kodiak's positive start didn't last, and he fell at 17 shots with no errors. Queens Flames captain Crystal closes the group with the red cue in Accuracy as the 64th qualifying finisher. Crystal crisply finished in 15 shots with no errors in the game, giving her 179 shots and 16 errors overall.

The fourth group begins with Maplewood Lumberjacks third-year Summer doing 12-ball with the blue cue. Summer was firmly in control, ending with 18 shots even with two errors to her name. Another 12-ball game sees Tysini Hummingbirds sophomore Sarah use the silver cue. Sarah was brilliant on solids, and took little time to finish in 15 shots with no errors. Pearl Surfers veteran Wings is ready to go in Rotation with the silver cue in today's 18th game. Wings avoided total disaster, taking only two errors in 28 shots in this appearance. Web City Spiders captain Jack is the 65th player done with qualifying, using the blue cue in Accuracy. Jack was mostly unimpressive with 21 shots and an error in the game. He totaled 159 shots and 6 errors throughout qualifying. Terrace City Knights veteran Oreo draws in for 10-ball with the red cue. Oreo needed a little luck to end in 16 shots with two errors, but persistence paid off with a 6-10 combination to the bottom left.

The fifth batch kicks off with Commerce Tradewinds veteran Niki using the blue cue in 10-ball. Niki had a hot start, then cooled off with one error before ending at 15 shots. Next up, Todavía Stills newcomer Pedey uses the silver cue for Rotation. Pedey started alright, but faded late and ended at 30 shots with two errors. Eastside Sharks rookie Maison is 23rd to play today, using the red cue in 15-ball. Maison plodded along just fine until he got to the 11, which he double-potted with the 15 in the top right and bottom side, respectively, to end at 25 shots with one error. The last 8-ball qualifier belongs to the Todavía Stills star Ruby, who shoots with the red cue. Ruby buried the rack in 21 shots with no errors. Wrapping up the group, Harrison Specters newcomer Dewey shoots Rotation with the silver cue. Dewey had few issues outside of one double-error. His solid play put him at 26 shots for the game.

The sixth set gets going when Viewpoint Sound Meteors star Frosty shoots Rotation with the green cue. Frosty quickly recognized she was in for a bad game and racked up six early errors to clear things up, enough to finish at 32 shots. Capital City Sharpshooters veteran Lorde is next, shooting 12-ball with the red cue. Lorde looked to be on the edge of problems, but she fixed it to end in 18 shots with no errors. Southern Monarchs veteran Mams follows that with the green cue in 13-ball. Mams navigated a tricky rack in 24 shots with two errors coming on one bad play. Continuing along, Diamond Gems newcomer Debby shoots Rotation with the blue cue. Debby came to play, taking only two errors in her 22 shots this game. The Monarchs' Mams is back for today's 30th game, using the red cue in Rotation. Mams had one error, but luck was mostly on her side to finish in 23 shots.

Group seven opens with Pronger Tridents captain Precious shooting 12-ball with the blue cue. Precious couldn't get a grip on the table, taking 34 shots with just one error as positioning eluded her late. She'll get no time to recover, immediately playing 13-ball with the red cue in her second straight appearance. Precious did better here, taking two errors but closing in 24 shots. The Stills' Pedey plays the 33rd game today, using the silver cue in 15-ball for his second appearance of the day. Luck was on Pedey's side, as a poor break led to a cluster-buster shot that he was able to use to jam the 15 to the bottom left for 1 shot and no errors. The Pirates' Isabella follows that with the silver cue in hand for 12-ball. Isabella notched the game in 25 shots with five errors, a fantastic break leaving her in awful positioning for virtually every solid. Rounding out this batch, Todavía Stills veteran Bells shoots 15-ball with the red cue. Bells kept the 15 tucked near the bottom left, and then picked it up with a deflection off the 9 to end at 17 shots and three errors.

Another 15-ball game with the red cue is on tap for Surfers veteran Wings. He had a spectacular break with three balls potted, but he squandered the advantage. Wings ended with 24 shots and no errors. The Stills' Pedey gets a third game today, using the purple cue in Accuracy as the 66th player to finish qualifying. Pedey completed his game in 18 shots with no errors. He ended with 163 shots and 15 errors overall. Freedom Cascades newcomer Andrew plays 12-ball with the blue cue in the 38th game of the day. Andrew couldn't solve his poor positioning and lack of conversions early on, taking 30 shots and two errors. The Stills' Bells becomes the 67th player done with qualifying as she shoots Accuracy with the purple cue. Bells faded late in her game, needing 19 shots to finish. Overall, she had 189 shots and 15 errors during qualifying. Closing the set, Pronger Tridents veteran Potter brings on the silver cue for 15-ball. Potter had a rough start, but stabilized to finish with 26 shots and three errors.

The ninth group starts with Chimpy of the Westside Rockers shooting 12-ball with the blue cue. Chimpy struggled with positioning, needing 26 shots and two errors to complete the effort. Royal Crowns newcomer Katelynn also plays 12-ball, but she'll use the green cue in today's 42nd game. Katelynn had some trouble converting early on and ultimately needed 30 shots with three errors to finish. Next up, the Sharpshooters' Lorde plays 13-ball with the silver cue. Lorde had to work with a little positioning late, pushing her up to 26 shots with four errors in a sloppy outing. Viewpoint Sound Meteors veteran Dani makes her return to action with the green cue in 13-ball. Dani showed some skill to finish the rack in 19 shots with no errors. Ending the group, Lighton Prestige veteran Shiny has the purple cue up for 13-ball. Shiny was a little shaky with two errors, but she completed the game in 24 shots.

The last group features the Surfers' Wings becoming the 68th player done with qualifying when he shoots Accuracy with the purple cue. Wings shredded the rack in 16 shots, even with one error for a scratch. Overall, he had 178 shots and 8 errors. Next up, Commerce Tradewinds captain Tigerette plays Rotation with the blue cue. Tigerette overcame a sluggish start to post 26 shots with three errors when her mid-game creativity failed. Pronger Tridents newcomer Avril is the 69th player to exit qualifying, shooting Accuracy with the silver cue. Avril potted three balls on the break and cruised to 14 shots and no errors in the game, for totals of 157 shots and 8 errors. Diamond Gems newcomer Salmo is up for 13-ball with the green cue in today's 49th game. Salmo had a rough go in positioning, needing 28 shots with three errors to complete the game. Viewpoint Sound Meteors star Princess ends the day with the purple cue in 15-ball. Princess had four errors during her turn, then finished at 27 shots with a late surge.

We'll go again tomorrow, which features the transition to 15-ball majority time.
