Tournament X Qualifiers - Day 30

We're onto the final stretch of qualifying, as Accuracy is now the primary game to be played. First up...

Eastside Sharks sophomore Taylor M. plays 13-ball with the purple cue. Taylor M. had three balls on the break and closed in 20 shots with no errors. Web City Spiders rookie Omari goes second today, using the silver cue for Rotation. Omari's strong play early helped him weather a tough middle that saw him take two errors before settling at 28 shots. Queens Flames superstar Violetta is the 112th player done with qualifying when she shoots Accuracy with the blue cue. Violetta was near perfect until the last ball, which saw her take one error and fade to 19 shots. That late fade put her at 138 shots and 9 errors, tied for second in the league. Another Flame, the newcomer Pauline, shoots Rotation with the purple cue. Pauline played well early on, with a little luck, and took only one error in 24 shots. Atlantic Pirates hotshot Isabella is 113rd to complete qualifiers, using the red cue in Accuracy. Isabella was frustrated to take two early errors, and channeled that anger into a good finish at 18 shots. Overall, she had 162 shots and 26 errors during her qualifying run.

Southridge Defenders newcomer Luigi keeps the red cue active in Accuracy as the 114th player done with qualifying. Luigi couldn't get any control, needing 21 shots to finish the effort for totals of 163 shots and 10 errors. Oceanside Waves enforcer Josie plays Rotation with the red cue in today's seventh game. Josie had a bad break and a lot of congestion on the table, needing two errors in 33 shots. Viewpoint Sound Meteors veteran Dani is onto 15-ball with the blue cue. Dani played fast and smart here, striking early and then double-potting the 4 and 15 to the left corners to end with 6 shots and no errors. Maplewood Lumberjacks star Whiskers also plays 15-ball, but with the red cue. Whiskers also found an early finish, deflecting off the 5 to put the 15 in the bottom side for 14 shots with one error. Royal Crowns mainstay Jake closes his qualifying 115th by speed, using the purple cue for Accuracy. Jake was fine early on, but one error and a bad finish put him at 20 shots. His overall numbers were 168 shots and 15 errors.

Group three kicks off with Midland Predators sophomore Kitty using the silver cue in 15-ball. Kitty took way too long to get hot this time, needing 34 shots and three errors to close the game. Diamond Gems captain Shadow tries 15-ball with the purple cue here. Shadow had an absolute disaster of a game, taking 37 shots with seven errors. Another Gem, the newcomer Salmo, plays Accuracy with the green cue as the 116th player to finish qualifying. Salmo had a decent start, but quickly faded to 21 shots and one error. His totals stood at 202 shots and 18 errors, an awful run. Freedom Cascades strongman Nikolai is the 117th player to end his qualifying run, playing Accuracy with the purple cue. Nikolai had a scratch on the break for his lone error, then ended in 18 shots after a couple double-pots saved his effort. He had 145 shots and 5 errors in total. Taking us into the lunch break, Atlantic Pirates rookie Buddy shoots Rotation with the blue cue. Buddy didn't have an easy time, but a late surge helped him finish on 28 shots and two errors.

After the break, Swordpoint Blades captain Snowball plays 15-ball with the red cue. Snowball couldn't solve today's breaking problem, and she ended up with four errors in 28 shots. Gems captain Shadow is back as the 118th qualifying finisher, shooting Accuracy with the blue cue. Shadow had a good start go to waste after taking two errors to finish on 21 shots. His overall numbers were 183 shots and 16 errors. Continuing along, Maplewood Lumberjacks captain Diddley shoots Rotation with the red cue. Seeing how the day has gone, Diddley disregarded the rules and took six errors to close with 24 shots. Westside Rockers captain Misty is set to play 13-ball with the blue cue here. Misty held up well with just one error in 24 shots, and only a slow finish to weigh her down slightly. Going 20th today, Whitewater Shores veteran Katharine plays 15-ball with the green cue. Katharine put the 15 very near the top right early on, and converted at 10 shots with a 2-15 combination, despite taking two errors earlier in the game.

The fifth group gets going as Todavía Stills star Sierra plays Accuracy with the green cue, the 119th player to finish qualifying. Sierra stormed through the rack in 15 shots, ending her qualifying run at 187 shots and 13 errors. Next up, Eastside Sharks captain Nightfur shoots Rotation with the purple cue. Nightfur lacked the traction necessary to find big success, ending at 29 shots and two errors in this outing. The 23rd player called today is the Victoria Spurs newcomer Rosalina, who shoots Rotation with the green cue. Rosalina took four errors early on, helping her clear a path to end in 24 shots. The Lumberjacks' Whiskers is back as the 120th player to complete qualifiers, using the purple cue in Accuracy to put two-thirds of all players in the completed category. Whiskers will almost assuredly be in the play-in round in this event after 24 shots and an error. Her overall totals were 178 shots and 11 errors. Rounding out the group, Todavía Stills star Ruby shoots 10-ball with the blue cue. Ruby was alright, taking two errors before converting the 7-10 combination to the top left to finish on 15 shots.

Bright needed only 15 shots to end this game, good for totals of 186 shots and 10 errors throughout his run. Meteors veteran Dani also uses the silver cue in Accuracy as the 122nd qualifying finisher. Dani had a scratch on the break, her lone error in 18 shots. She had 157 shots and 7 errors overall. Southridge Defenders newcomer Lize tries 15-ball with the purple cue next. Lize committed to reckless play early on, and ended up with seven errors in 35 shots after inefficiency forced her to clean up late after sinking the 15 illegally. Back in Accuracy, the Freedom Cascades' Stripes is the 123rd player to finish qualifying as she takes up the blue cue. Stripes scratched on the break, but recovered to finish at 18 shots in the game. She posted 168 shots and 9 errors in total. Ending the batch, Modernistic Union veteran Daisy shoots Accuracy with the red cue, the 124th player to finish qualifying. Spirit battled for a little bit, then converted a 3-15 combination to the top left for 7 shots and one error in her game. Freedom Cascades newcomer Andrew is next, using the purple cue in 13-ball. Andrew didn't have the most elegant of finishes, taking 26 shots and one early error for an overfill. Sharks captain Nightfur keeps the purple cue up for her second game of the day, which will be 15-ball. Nightfur was scuffling until she deflected a 1-15 combination off a couple of balls and directly to the bottom right to end in 4 shots with no errors. Infinity Torpedoes rookie Blaze wraps up the batch with the blue cue in 13-ball. Blaze took no errors, but a slow finish pushed him to 24 shots.

Group eight begins with the Spiders' Omari shooting 15-ball with the blue cue. Omari racked up five errors in 27 shots, wasting no time early on to avoid skidding too much. Today's 37th game is Rotation with the red cue for the Torpedoes' Blaze. It wasn't a great showing for the rookie, as Blaze needed 30 shots with only one error to finish. The Shores' Katharine gets her second game today in Accuracy with the purple cue, as she becomes the 126th player done with qualifying. Katharine was too shaky, taking one error in 22 shots. She had totals of 148 shots and 13 errors, with a poor finale once again costing a player valuable shots late today. Modernistic Union third-year Kodiak is up for 15-ball with the silver cue. Kodiak unleashed his play with only 23 shots and no errors in a beautiful performance. The Defenders' Lize closes the group with Accuracy and the red cue as the 127th player to complete qualifiers.
