We're onto the last week of qualifying, and we'll move from Rotation to 15-ball majority today. First up...
Capital City Sharpshooters mainstay Sprinkles plays 12-ball with the red cue. Sprinkles collected 19 shots and one error in a solid opener for the day. Tysini Hummingbirds captain Leandra is next up for 13-ball with the purple cue. Leandra displayed total dominance to finish in 17 shots with no errors. The Pearl Surfers' Boots goes third today, using the red cue in 13-ball. Boots was unable to get good positioning early on, forcing her to take 28 shots and three errors to complete the effort. Another 13-ball game sees Eastside Sharks captain Nightfur using the purple cue. Nightfur struggled to get clear looks after the early going, taking 31 shots and two errors to finish. North Modernistic Nighthawks star Gal plays 9-ball with the blue cue to end the group. Gal kept the 9 in her sights and finished in 4 shots with no errors by deflecting off the 1 to take the game at the top left.
Swordpoint Blades youngster Bandit keeps the blue cue active for 13-ball. Bandit had some shaky moments with three errors in 25 shots, a decent but unimpressive performance. Terrace City Knights third-year Melissa draws in for 12-ball with the green cue. Melissa had a good start and kept a decent pace to finish with 22 shots and one error. Whitewater Shores captain Shaggy is the 70th player done with qualifying, using the green cue in Accuracy. Shaggy had three errors in an ugly performance, ending with 22 shots. Overall, she had 191 shots and 20 errors. Going ninth today, Diamond Gems newcomer Debby shoots 15-ball with the red cue. Debby skipped the formality and went straight to errors, taking six of them in 29 shots. Eastside Sharks rookie Toki closes the group with the purple cue in hand for Rotation. Toki had one error in 25 shots, recovering from a nearly dangerous start.
The third batch kicks off with Web City Spiders newcomer Nibbles shooting 13-ball with the blue cue. Nibbles avoided disaster with workable positioning, taking no errors in his 25 shots. Lighton Prestige veteran Shiny checks in for Rotation with the purple cue. Shiny showed patience near the end, which cost her a few points as she finished with 25 shots and no errors. Westside Rockers veteran Slinks shoots Accuracy with the green cue as the 71st player to complete qualifiers. Slinks was locked in with a pair on the break and 16 shots in the game. She had 178 shots and 17 errors overall during qualifying. Next up, Victoria Spurs captain Spice shoots 12-ball with the purple cue. Spice had a positive start, but took two errors and needed 23 shots to finish. The 15th game today sees Royal Crowns veteran Jake shoot 13-ball with the red cue. Jake had a good distribution on stripes, but executed slowly with two errors in 24 shots.
More 13-ball follows as Pearl Surfers co-captain Watermelon plays in the event with the red cue. Watermelon couldn't do much with her positioning, taking 28 shots and one error. Oceanside Waves rookie Rocky goes 17th today, using the blue cue in 12-ball. Rocky worked with stripes first, then attacked solids to end in 22 shots with one error. Southridge Defenders newcomer Luigi is next with the green cue in Rotation. Luigi ended up with 30 shots and one error in his appearance. Southern Monarchs veteran Mams goes next with the blue cue in hand for 15-ball. Mams played with a fiery style, finishing in 17 shots and no errors as her shot on the 12 sent the 15 to the top right. Royal Crowns newcomer Katelynn finishes this group with 13-ball and the green cue. Katelynn knocked the rack down in 23 shots with no errors, getting favorable position near the end.
The parade of 13-ball continues with Swordpoint Blades veteran Dreamy shooting with the blue cue. Dreamy needed 28 shots and three errors as positioning eluded her throughout the game. Midland Predators sophomore Kitty will take up the green cue for Rotation. Kitty had a great start, but it fell apart in the middle, and she ended with 33 shots and three errors. The Hummingbirds captain Leandra is back for her second game today, using the silver cue in Rotation. Leandra lost her cool this time and needed 45 shots with nine errors to complete a frustrating game. The Prestige's Shiny also gets a second game today, using the green cue in 15-ball. Shiny had seven errors in her game, but it allowed her to salvage 29 shots for her score. Stonebridge Wolves newcomer Kirstin wraps up the set with the red cue in hand for Rotation. Kirstin was on fire early, but cooled by the end before closing with 26 shots and two errors.
The Crowns' Katelynn also uses the red cue in Rotation to begin the sixth set. Katelynn was fairly solid with 27 shots and three errors in a sometimes challenging outing. More Rotation follows in the 27th game today, as Cobalt of the Viewpoint Sound Meteors uses the green cue in the event. Cobalt started well, but he also lost it in the middle, needing 29 shots with three errors. Westside Rockers veteran Chimpy brings it back to 13-ball with the purple cue. Chimpy had decent positioning but didn't convert very well, needing 26 shots with two errors to escape. Boston Swifts veteran Sweetheart shoots 12-ball with the silver cue next in its last turn in the event. Sweetheart had plenty of good alignments go to waste over the course of her 27 shots, with only one error. Rounding out the group, Royal Crowns rookie Sunshine is the 72nd player done with qualifying when he shoots Accuracy with the blue cue. Sunshine was good with 18 shots and no errors in the game, for totals of 171 shots and 15 errors overall.
The seventh group opens as the Spiders' Nibbles plays Rotation with the silver cue in his second game today. Nibbles was in control, with just one error in a strong 24 shots. The purple cue sees its last turn in 9-ball when the Everton Eagles' Bear plays. Bear took one error in 13 shots for a fairly standard game. Terrace City Knights veteran Oreo goes 33rd today with the blue cue in 12-ball. Oreo was doing fine until late in the game, when she had the bulk of her six errors that inflated her score to 29 shots. Pearl Surfers co-captain Neopolitan is next, the 73rd player to finishing qualifying as she shoots Accuracy with the red cue. Neopolitan was sharp with 16 shots and no errors in the game. She had 168 shots and 13 errors overall. At the back of the group, Web City Spiders newcomer Cubby plays 10-ball with the blue cue. A great start was wasted by Cubby, who ended with 21 shots and one error.
Group eight also starts with Nibbles, who has the purple cue in hand for 15-ball this time. Nibbles nearly faced disaster with three early errors, but he was able to take the 6-15 combination to the top side to end in 17 shots. Commerce Tradewinds hotshot Solaris gets the red cue for Rotation in today's 37th game. Solaris had an acceptable outing of 26 shots and four errors, mixing both honest and reckless playing styles. Oceanside Waves enforcer Josie is ready to go in 10-ball with the purple cue. Josie was on track for a bad outing, but she pushed the 10 near the top right and used the 3 to knock it in at 12 shots and three errors. TodavĂa Stills star Sierra kept the purple cue active with 12-ball. Sierra was impressive, taking only one error in 20 shots in an assertive performance. The Tradewinds' Solaris is back for a second game today, using the green cue in 15-ball. Solaris took care of business in 26 shots with two errors.
The 41st player called today is Lorde of the Capital City Sharpshooters, who will use the silver cue in Rotation. Lorde's strong play early on bought her time to take it slow at the end, and she did to finish in 27 shots with two errors. Sharks rookie Toki is back for 15-ball with the green cue in his second appearance of the day. Toki was good for finding his play, taking only 24 shots with no errors. More 15-ball awaits when Southern Monarchs captain Panda uses the silver cue. Panda weaved through the rack expertly, needing 22 shots without an error. Infinity Torpedoes rookie Blaze steps in for 12-ball with the blue cue. Blaze suffered two errors late in his game, pushing him to 27 shots after he had dealt with positioning well early on. Golden Pilots veteran Sparkles closes this batch with the red cue in 15-ball. Sparkles picked up four errors along the way, but still closed in 27 shots in a respectable outing.
The final group gets going as Eastside Sharks rookie Lily shoots Rotation with the silver cue. Lily was unstoppable, taking one error in only 17 shots to clear the table. The Spiders' Cubby gets his second today, using the purple cue in its last qualifier in 12-ball. Cubby had wretched positioning, needing 31 shots with just one error to exit the game. The Sharpshooters' Lorde is back to shoot 15-ball with the green cue. Lorde had some troubles in the middle of her game, taking four errors to wrap up at 29 shots. Another Sharpshooter, the newcomer Paps, uses the green cue in Accuracy as the 74th player to finish qualifying. Paps was a little shaky with 20 shots and one error for a scratch on the break. Overall, he had 160 shots and 7 errors during his qualifying run. Finally, Pronger Tridents captain Precious plays Rotation with the purple cue. Precious commanded her shot with near perfection, taking 21 shots and no errors.
