Tournament XI Qualifiers - Day 13

It's lucky number 13 for qualifying today, with a better chance of seeing 13-ball played. Leading off...

Golden Pilots veteran Sparkles plays 12-ball with the green cue. Sparkles was good early on, but faltered later with her positioning just a touch off. She ended with 25 shots and no errors. Tysini Hummingbirds captain Leandra draws in for 10-ball with the green cue. Leandra kept it clean with no errors, but still needed 19 shots after a slow finish. Pearl Surfers veteran Bright gets the 3rd game today, using the blue cue for 12-ball. Bright had a good start despite weird positioning, but he took one error and needed 22 shots in the end. Web City Spiders newcomer Wild Thing keeps the blue cue up for 12-ball. Wild Thing looked alright early on, but he wasted good positioning and spiraled to 26 shots and two errors. Pacific Volcanoes captain Starlight ends the group with the red cue in 12-ball. Starlight was strong with 22 shots and four errors in her appearance, although she wasn't immune from the late fade. 

Group two gets going as Infinity Torpedoes veteran Shelley plays 9-ball with the red cue. Shelley posted one early error for illegal contact before closing on 12 shots. Whitewater Shores captain Shaggy is next with the blue cue in 10-ball. Shaggy brought her best, finishing a 4-10 combination to the bottom left to end on 8 shots with no errors. Following that, Archtown Arrows sophomore Greg uses the red cue in 9-ball. Greg took one error early on but closed the rack in 13 shots. Oceanside Waves newcomer Daisy is 9th to shoot today, using the silver cue for 12-ball. Daisy played very cautiously and used soft touches most of the time, but worked her way to 18 shots with no errors. Zenith Skywatchers enforcer Nightfur closes the set with the blue cue in hand for 10-ball. Nightfur took one error on missed contact but still closed at 12 shots after dominating with precision. 

The third group leads off with Victoria Spurs veteran Sage also using the blue cue for 10-ball. Sage had three errors in her game, but still finished in 16 shots. Oceanside Waves sophomore Megan goes next in 10-ball with the purple cue. Megan had no errors and needed only 14 shots to complete the effort. TodavĂ­a Stills star Sierra steps in with the blue cue for a 12-ball qualifier. Sierra struggled with positioning early on, causing her to need 25 shots with one error to finish it. Everton Eagles veteran Cleo is next up with the silver cue in 10-ball. Cleo pulled off a deflection from the 5 to sink the 10 to the bottom left for 10 shots and no errors. Viewpoint Sound Meteors star Princess goes 15th with the red cue in 9-ball. Princess had a rough start, but a 4-5-9 combination to the bottom left bailed her out at 11 shots and no errors. 

Group four is underway as Golden Pilots veteran Strut shoots 13-ball with the blue cue. Strut's positioning was sloppy at the end, leading to three errors in 28 shots. Queens Flames captain Crystal grabs the purple cue for 12-ball. Crystal took her time and approached things with patience to post 22 shots and no errors. Harrison Specters newcomer Snuggle goes next, picking up the silver cue for 10-ball. A bad break could have been doom for Snuggle, but he made three combos initiated on the 2, and closed with just one error in a reasonable 16 shots. Zenith Skywatchers captain Blizzard is to play 10-ball with the red cue. A couple of errors weighed Blizzard down to 17 shots for the game. At the back, Commerce Tradewinds newcomer Bear does 10-ball with the purple cue. Bear wasn't doing well, but a shot on the 2 that deflected in the 6 at the top left also collected the 10 to the bottom left to give him 11 shots and two errors in the game. 

The 21st player called today is Freedom Cascades star Nikolai, who plays 9-ball with the red cue. Nikolai looked great, taking unconventional methods to close in 11 shots with no errors. Maplewood Lumberjacks captain Diddley is next with the blue cue up for 8-ball. Diddley displayed calm and controlled play with 18 shots and no errors in a good game. Swordpoint Blades newcomer Mams has the green cue in hand for 10-ball. Mams had a couple of early errors in the mix, but finished well at 16 shots. Archtown Arrows veteran Sleepy B. keeps the green cue active in 12-ball. Sleepy B. kept things clean over 18 shots, taking no errors in a smooth outing. Ending the batch, Pronger Tridents star Spot uses the red cue in 9-ball. Spot had one error for illegal contact early on, then finished in 13 shots. 

The sixth bunch begins with Apex Wonders veteran Cowzart using the purple cue in 9-ball. Cowzart took a couple of unnecessary errors, but it didn't stop him from scoring 11 shots. Southern Monarchs sophomore Molly is next up, playing 12-ball with the silver cue. Molly had some struggles with two errors in the middle, but she finished well with 21 shots. The 28th game today goes to Terrace City Knights star Melissa, who plays 9-ball with the red cue. Melissa had a couple of set-up shots and one error that pushed her score to 15 shots. Next up, Victoria Spurs star Yekaterina plays 13-ball with the purple cue. Yekaterina kept things simple in this one, taking 23 shots with no errors to escape cleanly. Wrapping up the group, Capital City Sharpshooters rookie Ellie plays 10-ball with the red cue. Ellie was sneaky good in this game, taking only 3 shots with no errors as a deflection off the 2 sank the 10 at the top left. 

Set seven opens as Westside Rockers veteran Chimpy plays 10-ball with the silver cue. Chimpy had one error early on but made up for it by surging late to close on 17 shots. Pearl Surfers veteran Boots is next with the purple cue in hand for 8-ball. Boots posted 22 shots and one error in her appearance, a fairly average showing. Another 8-ball game goes to the North Modernistic Nighthawks' Peach, who uses the blue cue. Peach wasn't very good, taking three errors and lazily allowing her score to inflate to 27 shots. The 34th player of the day is Stonebridge Wolves newcomer Dewey, who has the red cue up for 10-ball. Dewey took one error for a scratch, but closed the effort in 14 shots. Rounding out the group, Lighton Prestige captain Acorn uses the purple cue in 12-ball. Acorn put together a good game with 21 shots and no errors, using patience as the key to his success. 

The eighth group starts with Southern Monarchs captain Pounce shooting 10-ball with the green cue. Pounce had a decent start, but made it better with a 4-10 combination to the bottom left to end on 7 shots and one error. More 10-ball is on the way as Puff I of the Modernistic Union uses the red cue in today's 37th game. Puff I struggled at times with positioning and ended her game with 17 shots and no errors. Continuing in 10-ball, North Modernistic Nighthawks veteran Gizmo plays with the purple cue. Gizmo took one error early, but made a 5-10 combination to the top left with the 5 going to the bottom right on a double-pot to end with 12 shots. Westside Rockers newcomer Snowball is next with the green cue in 12-ball. Snowball was solid, although a couple of unfortunate errors put her at 21 shots by the end of the game. Pronger Tridents veteran Avril keeps the green cue active for 10-ball. Avril did well despite a pair of errors, closing the effort in 14 shots. 

Group nine kicks off with Everton Eagles veteran Vincent shooting 9-ball with the red cue. Vincent was good early, but sent the cue ball off the table for his lone error. He ended up at 15 shots. North Modernistic Nighthawks star Gal goes in 10-ball with the red cue next. Gal suffered a couple of errors early on, but took control at the end to post 16 shots. Terrace City Knights veteran Oreo takes up the purple cue for 12-ball. Oreo kept total control throughout the game, closing in only 16 shots with no errors. The 44th game of the day is 10-ball with the blue cue for Apex Wonders veteran Mr. Snowman. He was solid with a ball on the break and only one error in 14 shots. Victoria Spurs veteran Rosalina seals the group with the blue cue in 12-ball. Rosalina struggled with three errors and 28 shots in her appearance, faltering from the start with an overfill. 

The final group commences with Westside Rockers veteran Goatee shooting 9-ball with the purple cue. Goatee put the 9 close to the bottom left and later deflected a shot off the 6 to end with 10 shots and no errors. Southridge Defenders veteran Wario jumps into action with the blue cue in 10-ball. Wario's command on scoring plays was shaky, leading to three errors in 22 shots. The 48th game of the day is 10-ball with the silver cue for Southern Monarchs rookie Gabby. It was a solid effort for Gabby, who took no errors in her 15 shots. Midland Predators veteran Chicky Phil brings the blue cue back for 12-ball. Chicky Phil held his own despite an early error, shutting the door at 20 shots. Zenith Skywatchers veteran Paps ends the day with the purple cue in 12-ball. Paps did well early on, then faded a bit late to 21 shots with no errors. 

Another day is in the books. We'll complete the second week with tomorrow's action.
