Tournament XI Qualifiers - Day 20

We're ready to go with the 20th day of qualifying. Expect a little of most everything, with the first game seeing...

Golden Pilots veteran Sparkles using the red cue in 13-ball. Sparkles played brilliantly, clearing the table in only 17 shots with no errors. Terrace City Knights rookie Anna is next up, using the silver cue in 10-ball. Anna didn't have the best positioning, mostly shooting long shots as she scored 17 with one error in the game. Swordpoint Blades newcomer Stephanie goes 3rd today with the purple cue in hand for Rotation. Stephanie handled a bad break well, taking three errors in 27 shots to complete the outing. Everton Eagles star Puff III steps up for 12-ball with the purple cue. Puff III played smart and used a good pace to finish at 20 shots and no errors for the game. Back in Rotation, Boston Swifts veteran Ice Cream uses the red cue to end the group. Ice Cream took three errors early on and rattled three balls out, but found her groove late to end on 24 shots.

Group two gets going with Swordpoint Blades veteran Stealth using the silver cue in 10-ball. Stealth had a good start and a good finish, but three errors in between inflated his score to 16 shots. Atlantic Pirates veteran Dusky activates the green cue for Rotation. Dusky was alright, taking three errors in 24 shots as she had a fairly solid showing. Everton Eagles captain Goldy brings the blue cue aboard in 12-ball. Goldy did well with positioning, her only flaw being a double-error in the middle of the game. She ended in 20 shots. Zenith Skywatchers veteran Paps goes 9th today, using the red cue for Rotation. Paps didn't get the best of positioning off the break, leading to eventually four errors among 27 shots. Ending the batch, Apex Wonders rookie Blair shoots 10-ball with the blue cue. Blair was pretty sharp at the table, needing only 13 shots and no errors to finish.

Viewpoint Sound Meteors captain Hoot is ready to go in 9-ball with the blue cue. Hoot made two balls on the break, helping him get a score of 12 shots with one error. Everton Eagles veteran Vincent keeps the blue cue active in 12-ball. Vincent was unfazed by his two errors, finishing the game in only 19 shots with precise planning and execution. Boston Swifts captain Sweetheart shoots 13th today, using the green cue in 13-ball. Sweetheart had a promising start, but a couple of errors and sloppy play late put her at 28 shots. Next up, Southern Monarchs captain Pounce plays Rotation with the blue cue. Pounce took up too much time on clean set-ups, tallying only two errors but 28 shots as he navigated the rack. Rounding out the group, Capital City Sharpshooters veteran Sprinkles uses the green cue in 13-ball. Sprinkles took a couple of errors during her turn, but closed on 21 shots, as her early runs laid a good foundation.

Today's 16th game goes to Infinity Torpedoes veteran Shelley, who uses the green cue in 12-ball. Shelley held her own and got favorable positioning to end on 21 shots and one error. Archtown Arrows veteran Sleepy B. also uses the green cue as she plays Rotation. Sleepy B. was electric early on, but one error and some shaky plays late left her at 24 shots. More Rotation follows with Midland Predators rising star Kitty using the purple cue. Kitty made three balls on the break, but wasted the hot start with two errors and poor aim, leading to her score of 26 shots. North Modernistic Nighthawks star Gal tries to get back on track in Rotation with the blue cue. Gal couldn't get anything going early, taking three errors and closing in 33 shots. Commerce Tradewinds newcomer Bear finishes the group with the purple cue in 13-ball. Bear had only one error for missed contact and cruised to the finish at 20 shots.

Group five leads off with Stonebridge Wolves sophomore Jane playing Rotation with the blue cue. Jane picked up four errors in 28 shots in an uninspiring effort. Royal Crowns rookie Kacey also plays Rotation, but with the red cue. Kacey struggled to get clean looks, needing 28 shots with five errors to finish. Pronger Tridents veteran Prism is next, using the purple cue in 12-ball. Prism botched her positioning badly at the end of her game, ending up with one error in 30 shots. Southern Monarchs sophomore Molly goes 24th today, playing Rotation with the red cue. Molly was very fortunate with her early bounces, and took two later errors en route to 23 shots for the game. More Rotation closes the group as Everton Eagles newcomer Panda uses the silver cue. Panda had a couple of early errors for scratches, but he settled in with 23 shots at the end.

The sixth set begins as Pronger Tridents star Spot plays 13-ball with the silver cue. Spot made a few mistakes, taking four errors before closing on 25 shots. Lighton Prestige star Spirit takes on 15-ball with the red cue. Spirit had a chance to finish early, but she scratched after banking the 5-15 combination to the top left. This was one of her two errors in 22 shots. Golden Pilots star Dusty follows with the silver cue in Rotation. Dusty showed her star quality in this one, with an awful break not slowing her down. Dusty finished in 21 shots with only one error. Lighton Prestige star Citrus is 29th to shoot today, picking up the red cue for 13-ball. Citrus had to be creative after sending some early plays wide, but she found her aim and went for 21 shots and no errors. Wrapping up the bunch, Stonebridge Wolves strongman Hershey plays 10-ball with the purple cue. Hershey ripped through the rack initially, then slowed a little to end on 13 shots and no errors.

Set seven opens with Golden Pilots veteran Max playing 12-ball with the purple cue. Max was unlucky to take three consecutive errors before initiating his final surge to end at 20 shots. Terrace City Knights captain Kiwi takes up the green cue in 13-ball. Kiwi wasted a beautiful start by chasing her last two balls, running up the score to 26 shots and no errors. Todavía Stills star Ruby plays the 33rd game today, using the green cue in 15-ball. Ruby made quick work of her game, taking one error but using a deflection off the 2 to drive the 15 into the bottom left for 5 shots. Maplewood Lumberjacks sophomore Marissa is next with the blue cue in 13-ball. Marissa had a couple of errors but didn't let it get her down as she finished with 22 shots. Apex Wonders veteran Cowzart brings up the rear in this group with the blue cue in hand for 12-ball. Cowzart faltered after a good start, but he took no errors and closed on 22 shots.

The eighth group starts with Southridge Defenders newcomer Stripes using the blue cue in 13-ball. Stripes dominated with aggressive play and positioning, with just 19 shots and no errors. Going 37th, Terrace City Knights star Oreo uses the silver cue for Rotation. Too much congestion early on led to Oreo taking four errors before escaping at 31 shots. Infinity Torpedoes star Fuchsia draws in with the green cue in 12-ball. Fuchsia attacked the sides early and took no errors and just 18 shots to finish off the rack. Pacific Volcanoes veteran Leonette also shoots 12-ball, but she'll use the purple cue. Leonette had a great start, but left no route to the finish, which saw her take three errors before ending at 26 shots. Eastside Sharks newcomer Rudolph also uses the purple cue for 12-ball. Rudolph made all the right choices to finish at 16 shots with no errors.

The 41st player called today is Freedom Cascades rookie Blake, who plays 12-ball with the purple cue. Blake got absolutely nothing from the early part of the game, ending on 29 shots and two errors. Southridge Defenders veteran Wario is ready for 13-ball with the red cue. Bad positioning at the end spoiled Wario's decent effort, putting him at 26 shots with one error. Diamond Gems sophomore Autumn keeps the red cue going in 12-ball. Autumn did almost everything right early on, but a late error pushed her to 17 shots after she finished with a kick to the bottom right. Tysini Hummingbirds star Charli brings up the blue cue for her turn in 13-ball. Charli saved herself some trouble with one productive error, helping her pick up the pace late to end with 21 shots. Pearl Surfers veteran Bright ends the group with the purple cue in Rotation. Bright was sharp early on, but stuttered through three errors in the middle before ending on 25 shots.

The final group commences with Todavía Stills veteran Pedey using the blue cue for Rotation. Pedey had a great start despite a tough break. He took two errors later but still finished with 24 shots. Maplewood Lumberjacks captain Diddley goes 47th today with the purple cue in 12-ball. Diddley had one error for missed contact, but everything lined up well for him to finish at 18 shots. Freedom Cascades newcomer Frosty steps in for 9-ball with the purple cue. Frosty was good early on but let it get away with one error and 15 shots by the end. Central Warriors star Dustin returns to the table with the purple cue in Rotation for the first time since his 13-ball outburst. Dustin looked very composed this time, ending in 24 shots with no errors. He also won't have to forfeit his other bid. Pronger Tridents veteran Potter ends the day in 12-ball with the purple cue. Potter finished with a sturdy 21 shots and no errors in a good performance.

There's only two weeks of qualifying left. We'll continue tomorrow in the thick of the hardest games.
