We're back in cricket with Elite taking the stage for a couple of days. First up...
Capital City SuperCenter, Capital City: The Sharpshooters continue to push for the division title, sitting Sprinkles for the first time at home this year, while Neopolitan takes rest for the Surfers. Boots started at a good pace for Pearl, but she eased up too soon and fell with 329. Chris had no issues in establishing Capital City with 774 on their first turn of the game, producing a big lead. Watermelon fell out of rhythm early in her turn, scoring a middling 266 for the Surfers that won't cover the deficit. Missy answered that with 467 for the Sharpshooters, making a noticeable addition to their lead. Bright gained 368 for Pearl, unable to make a move to pressure the hosts at all. Lorde had to take a mandatory replay for playing through a technical error, but she turned it into 896 as Capital City gains an even better lead. Beth ended with a mere 83 for the Surfers, and they lost with 1046 in total. Pauline kept it simple with 149 for the Sharpshooters, icing their win at 2286. Capital City rises to 31-6, while Pearl drops to 21-19.
Ebay Center, Queens: Big firepower is left on the bench in the Flames' first half of a doubleheader, as they go without their captain Crystal, while their newest rivals, the Waves, sit Celestia for rest as well. Snuggle carved out 582 for Oceanside on the opening turn, giving the visitors a nice start. Violetta had a cluttered pitch by the end of her turn, but it didn't stop her from tallying 787 for Queens. Queens swept the league season series to rise to 20-20, while Oceanside, who won the United Cup battle, is 20-19 now.
Ebay Center, Queens: The Flames complete the doubleheader with Kyle on the bench, while the Tradewinds give Niki rest after a pool appearance as they fight to stay in this division. Tigerette couldn't clear her swing up fast enough, a light deflection enough to stall her at 45 for Commerce. Crystal fired back with 551 for Queens, surging in pace before dropping off late in the turn. Taylor got shut down at 153 on a deflection for the Tradewinds, hurting the comeback effort. Violetta added a little support with 368 for the Flames, keeping them in control halfway through the game. Queens is now at 21-20, while Commerce takes an untidy slip to 17-21, into a tie for the last safe spot.

Smudge hammered 1249 for Infinity on the opening turn, a massive start for the visitors. Chris fired back with 850 for Capital City, cutting into the deficit strongly on his counterattack. Fluffina got most of that back with a fiery 818 for the Torpedoes, maintaining their lead quite well. Missy slipped at 320 for the Sharpshooters, her good turn wasted by a bad swing as the hosts fall far behind. Shelley posted 606 for Infinity on her turn, keeping their offense very strong. Sprinkles got some of it back with 535 for Capital City, but they will need a massive turnaround to save this one. Mr. Snowman tacked on 417 at the end for the Torpedoes to finish with a lofty 3090. Lorde pulled in 504 for the Sharpshooters, but they were short at 2209 this time. Infinity's statement game gets them up to 25-16, while Capital City dips to 31-7.
Nike Field, Commerce: The Tradewinds look to bounce back against the Pirates. The hosts will sit Rosemary as her recent hot stretch ended, while the Pirates rest Steven after a pool appearance. Delila burst forward with 774 for Atlantic to start the scoring in great form for the visitors. Tigerette had another lousy appearance for Commerce, taking a meager 55 this time. Isabella had a nice touch on her backhand to extend her turn, but she was out of rhythm and fell with 354 for the Pirates. Taylor did a bit better for the Tradewinds, but her 240 kept them far behind at the halfway mark. Klaus had a poor 225 for Atlantic, maintaining their lead without building it up any more. IBM Nighthawks Nest, North Modernistic: The Tradewinds finish their doubleheader with Tigerette on the bench on the road, while the Nighthawks sit Gal to start a home doubleheader. Taylor had an awful 16 for Commerce, showing no control of her swing as her team's unraveling continues. Peach wasn't much better, a high-arcing ball forcing her into a bad backhand that ended her turn with only 57 for North Modernistic. Lionel looked ready to break out of his personal slump, but a bad swing downed him with 194. Cheddar pulled the Nighthawks ahead with a sufficient 202, although their lead remains quite small. Delila gathered 304 for Atlantic to begin this game, lacking a consistent swing during the turn. Boots pulled exactly even with 304 of her own for Pearl, leaving the result up to the rest of the players. Isabella fired back with 818 for the Pirates on the second attack, pulling them ahead by a better margin. Watermelon didn't have as much pace for the Surfers, causing them to fall behind on her 461. Steven had some creative bat work for Atlantic, but he still fell with 368, weakening their lead a bit. Neopolitan picked up some slack with 448 for Pearl, but they remain noticeably behind with a player each to go. Max had a decent 297 for the Pirates at the end, giving them a total of 1787. Starbucks Cup, Archtown: The Arrows give Sleepy B. rest in this rematch from earlier in the week, while the Nighthawks sit Luigi for rest at the end of his recent hot stretch. Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: The Surfers sit Neopolitan again in their home finale, while the Hummingbirds look to protect the last playoff spot without their captain Princess in the lineup. Leandra attacked pretty well with 424 for Tysini to get things going in this big game. Boots couldn't cover that for Pearl, her poor swinging form causing her to fall at only 171. Charli couldn't keep the ball in front of her late in her turn, ending at a solid 384 for the Hummingbirds. Watermelon had a pacey turn developing before turning an early offering to the sky, ending at just 64 for the Surfers. Brownie couldn't give Tysini the kind of attack they needed, only hitting a paltry 37. Bright churned out 619 for Pearl in response, making it a much closer game on the final players' turns. Paps had only 200 for the Hummingbirds, leaving them at a weak total of 1045. Beth did enough with a chaotic 283 to give the Surfers the win at 1137. Pearl ends their home schedule at 8-14, and move to 22-20, while Tysini is down to 21-17.
Starbucks Cup, Archtown: The Arrows host the Tradewinds to end Week 20 in Elite, with the hosts sitting Wild Thing while the visitors bench a flailing Taylor. Tigerette had a weak turn of 225 for Commerce as a deflection clipped a ball out of play rather early on. Sally shot back with a better 521 for Archtown, giving the hosts the initial lead with her firm outing. Lionel had another nightmare turn of only 90 points for the Tradewinds, keeping them at a noticeable deficit. Ruby tried to get tricky on her backhand, but it just slowed down the inevitable, and she took 506 for the Arrows on the second attack. Rosemary gave Commerce a respectable 548 this time, but that only covered the recent damage against them. Sleepy B. had only 171 in her return to action from a much-needed break, putting Archtown in a little bit of late danger. Niki shrugged off an early ball, sending it out of bounds at just 102, leaving the Tradewinds in another brutal loss at 965, their fourth straight sub-1k game. Dusky had no pace for the Arrows, but her 87 iced their win at 1285. Archtown is up to 17-23, while Commerce falls behind them at 17-24.
That's all for Elite this week. Premier may get some attention tonight, but most likely will play Friday and Sunday. Tournament play is up this afternoon.
