Elite cricket is ready to return a bit later than usual. We begin with...
Starbucks Cup, Archtown: The Arrows and Union engage in a battle of teams in danger of relegation. Ruby sits for the Arrows, fresh off a recent pool appearance, while Chimpy does the same for the Union. Ms. Puppy got things going with 371 for Modernistic in a fairly solid appearance. Sally answered with 636 for Archtown, giving them the initial lead. Daisy mashed 753 for the Union, pulling the visitors more confidently ahead on the second attack. Sleepy B. mostly fought off the danger with 687 for the Arrows, restoring a slightly smaller lead at the halfway point. Puff I slipped at 312 for Modernistic this time, weakening their offense dramatically. Dusky fired back with 511 for Archtown, keeping them firmly in the lead with a player each to go. Kodiak had no response for the Union, his 129 leaving them in a loss at 1565. Wild Thing had a good pace in a short turn, poking 280 for the Arrows to end their win at 2114, snapping a seven-game home losing streak. Archtown is up to 8-16, while Modernistic sinks to 10-16.
Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: The Torpedoes sit Mr. Snowman for this meeting, while the Nighthawks have Gal on the bench due to her earlier pool appearance. Peach set the tone early on with 552 for North Modernistic, immediately challenging their hosts. Smudge had a rough 36 for Infinity, unable to solve some recent scoring issues. Cheddar carved out 617 for the Nighthawks, padding their lead greatly with the performance. Fluffina couldn't recover much for the Torpedoes, managing 192 as the deficit grows rapidly halfway through the game. B. Chapman had a poor 217 for North Modernistic, potentially causing a small vulnerability in their lead. Solaris got knocked back on a deflection, falling with 72 for Infinity as they appear to have no path forward in this game. Luigi floated 861 for the Nighthawks at the end, icing their likely upset victory at 2247. Shelley had a decent 328, but the Torpedoes were destroyed in the loss with 628 total. North Modernistic jumps to 7-19, while Infinity is down to 17-5 and will need a short memory.
Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: The Torpedoes bench Solaris in hopes of erasing the last game from memory, while the Union sit Kodiak after he had a rough outing in the weekly debut. Ms. Puppy struggled with pace for much of her turn, ending at 378 for Modernistic in an acceptable start. Smudge belted 963 for Infinity this time, giving the hosts an angry and confident lead. Daisy covered the deficit with 632 for the Union, but their lead is fragile at this point. Fluffina barely reclaimed the lead for the Torpedoes, falling at 113 with an errant backhand. Puff I tried to be aggressive for Modernistic, but she didn't do it well, ending at 220 as they take another small lead. Jason V. played well for the Waves with 432, but it was far from enough as they lost with 1735. Atlantic is north of .500 now at 14-13, in a tie for 5th and a game back of the 15-12 Oceanside squad.

Her brother, the Torpedoes' Solaris, didn't have as much on his turn, grabbing 375 to cover the deficit without taking control of the game. Josie covered that damage with 400 for the Waves, maintaining their delicate lead at the halfway mark. Shelley took over with 876 for Infinity this time, giving them a confident lead with the effort.
