Select Cricket kicks off the second half of the season just a day after Premier brought us to halfway. We begin with...
Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: The Crowns begin a quadrupleheader with a three-game home stand, hosting the Wolves first. Jake rests for the hosts while Frosty rests for the visitors. Juno made an absolute mess of her turn with only 4 points for Stonebridge. Kayla didn't have much pace, but she did well with her bat to wrangle 568 for a big Royal lead right at the start. Hershey missed his timing for the Wolves, posting a meager 96 on their poor second attack. Jeremias pounded 675 for the Crowns on his turn, furthering their lead halfway through the game. Vladimir melted at 24 for Stonebridge, a cluttered pitch and a deflection responsible for his undoing. Nightfur made a good save on her backhand, preserving her turn to finish at 479 for Royal in another strong appearance. Cobalt had a respectable 376 for the Wolves, leaving their pitiful final at 500 in the loss. Cassie had only 32 for the Crowns this time, but they still took the win at 1754. Royal is up to 9-10, while Stonebridge drops to 10-17.
Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: The Crowns take on Castle Derby rivals in the Defenders in their second game. Cassie sits for the hosts, while the visitors bench Hughbert for this meeting. Bianca produced a solid 378 for Southridge on the opening turn of the game. Kayla got shut down with 82 for Royal this time, putting them a bit behind. Debby faltered with only 122 for the Defenders as this game takes an ugly turn with low-scoring performances. Jake got beat on a deflection at 176 for the Crowns, unable to make up the deficit at the halfway mark. Stephanie couldn't establish herself either for Southridge, with only a measly 86 in the frustrating rivalry game. Jeremias cranked out a massive 959 for Royal this time, giving them a large lead over their rivals with a player each to go. Caitlin slipped at 42 for the Defenders, leaving them with a pathetic 628 in the loss, their worst game of the year by a mile. Nightfur tacked on 571 for the Crowns, icing their win at 1788 this time. Royal's upset of their Castle Derby rivals takes them to 10-10, while Southridge falls to 18-4 with the loss.
Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: The Crowns complete the home portion of their quadrupleheader, sitting Kayla against a Meteors team who left Dani at home to prepare for their next game. Mams had good pace and a nice backhand save for Viewpoint Sound before an awkward swing stalled her at 400. Jake enjoyed his crack at lead-off for Royal, slugging 1305 for a massive lead on the first turn. Hoot had the pace for a big attack for the Meteors, but he hooked a ball out of play to end at 272. Jeremias rebuilt his pace well after a slow start, tallying 840 by the end of the turn to extend the Crowns lead significantly. Nibbles tried to find a backhand flick for Viewpoint Sound, but he missed and fell with 122 as a third straight visiting team can't get their offense going. Nightfur added a solid 496 for Royal this time, likely confirming the game to be out of reach for the visitors. Vincent didn't even try, falling at 73 for the Meteors as they lose with 867. Cassie added 265 for the Crowns to cap their total at 2906. Royal rises once more to 11-10 before heading on the road, while Viewpoint Sound drops to 9-10 with the brutal loss.
The Intel Pitch, Diamond: The Crowns complete the quadrupleheader with the first in a three-game road trip. Both captains sit this one out, with Nightfur on the bench for the visitors and Smokey doing the same for the hosts. Kayla served up a solid 488 for Royal on the first turn of the game. Rosalina had a jittery swing that knocked her down at 24 for Diamond when she flicked a ball out of play. Jake added another 495 for the Crowns, extending their lead nicely at the midway point. Citrus had a bit of a low pace for the Gems, exiting with a mediocre 199 as the deficit grows. Jeremias continued his excellent week with 608 for Royal, padding their lead once again in the middle of the lineup. Pedey had a productive turn with 783 for Diamond, offsetting some of the damage done against them. Cassie accepted 582 after a technical error for the Crowns, giving them a total score of 2173 in a likely victory. Cassandra fell with 423 for the Gems this time, taking the loss at 1429. Royal surges through the toughest part of their schedule to get to 12-10, while Diamond sinks to 7-19.
Volkswagen Stadium, Viewpoint Sound: The slumping Meteors host the league-leading Defenders. Caitlin rests for the visitors, while the hosts put Vincent on the bench for performance. Bianca pummeled a strong 735 for Southridge this time, getting them off to a good start. Mams didn't come close to matching it with 213 for Viewpoint Sound in a slow opening turn for the hosts. Debby appeared to be under siege for the Defenders at the start of her turn, but she fought off the danger and hit 470 to boost their lead. Hoot had a poor 120 for the Meteors in response, allowing them to slip farther behind. Stephanie got back on track for Southridge with 451 this time, padding their lead with another good turn. Nibbles chopped 368 for Viewpoint Sound, keeping their offense a bit lower than preferred. Hughbert added 201 for the Defenders at the end, bringing their final score to 1857. Mercedes-Benz Field, Harrison: The Specters sit Mitchell for this clash with the Sharks, who give Chelsea some needed rest on the road this time. Graham knocked 439 for Eastside on the opening turn, a decent start from the visiting captain. Sydney shot back with 650 for Harrison, giving them the initial lead with a strong first turn. Gizmo tried to make a save on his backhand, but he couldn't settle the ball, and it took him out with only 81 points for the Sharks. Twinkie II responded without mercy, ripping 867 as the Specters take a massive lead at the halfway point. Cubby pushed back with 895 for Eastside, cutting into the deficit with the strong appearance. Lexi offset some of that damage with 402 for Harrison, maintaining their lead with a player each to go. Salmo couldn't give the Sharks a chance, failing with a measly 60 as their final sits at 1475 in the loss. Rudolph churned out another 792 for the Specters in the end, sealing their win at 2711. Harrison goes to 11-13, just trailing the 12-14 Eastside team.

Yekaterina answered with a stronger 860 for the Spurs, extending their lead slightly at the midway mark. Gabe picked up 592 for Maplewood this time, barely enough to cover the deficit again. GE Stadium, Southridge: The league-leading Defenders are without Bianca this time, while the last-place Gems come to visit with Rosalina sitting on the bench. Citrus didn't do much better subbing in for Rosalina at the lead-off position, ending with only 51 points for Diamond. Debby answered with 542 for Southridge, a strong opening attack to give the hosts an initial lead. Pedey had 331 for the Gems in response, unable to catch up with a better second attack for the visitors. Stephanie hammered 968 for the Defenders, giving their lead a lot of padding halfway through the game. Smokey found a fruitful groove for Diamond this time, belting 1167 to cover the deficit lightly on a highly productive turn. Caitlin answered that with 456 for Southridge, restoring a healthy lead for the team. Cassandra forced the hosts to respond, clipping 599 for the Gems to set their final at 2148. Hughbert countered with 560 for the Defenders, sealing their win easily at 2526. Southridge will not be stopped at home, going to 20-4, while Diamond dips to 7-20 despite a good effort.

Maplewood rises to 12-15, while Stonebridge drops back to 10-18.
GE Stadium, Southridge: The Defenders are choosing to go without Debby in this game, while the Cascades sit Stinky for a critical return to action after two weeks on the bye. Jasmine put up a reasonable 333 for Freedom on the opening turn of the game. Bianca answered with 678 for Southridge, the bold opening turn setting the hosts well ahead initially. Roxy shot back with 734 for the Cascades, rallying to pull them ahead by challenging the hosts directly. Stephanie answered with 474 for the Defenders, reclaiming a smaller lead for the hosts at the halfway mark. Nikolai kept Freedom pushing forward with a huge 890 this time, challenging the hosts again. Caitlin didn't get all of the deficit back, but her 681 closed the gap a bit as Southridge trails with a player each to go. Stripes provided another 536 for the Cascades at the end, setting their final score at 2493. Hughbert chopped 599 for the Defenders, but they suffered their first home loss at 2432. Freedom has toppled the giant, rising to 14-9, while Southridge sinks to 20-5.

Spirit countered with 535 for the Prestige, giving them a slightly weaker lead on the second attack. Diddley answered with 511 for the Lumberjacks, maintaining their small lead at the midway point.
