Mercedes-Benz Field, Harrison: The Sharks have a chance to sweep the Specters as they look for the answer to their road woes. Graham began with 393 for Eastside, a solid opener for the visitors. Slinks couldn't make a major impact with only 112 for Harrison. The Sharks answered with 616 from Chelsea, boosting their lead pretty well. Twinkie II couldn't get going, taking 215 for the Specters as their situation worsens. Taylor shot back with 439 for Eastside, extending their lead once again. Sydney pulled in 700 for Harrison, shrinking the deficit as the final players come to bat. Niki tapped 223 for the Sharks, producing a total of 1671. Brownie scored 298 for the Specters, but they took the loss with 1325. Eastside snapped a five-game road losing streak, going to 20-17, while Harrison drops to 15-22.
Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: Lots to process here, as both teams reach halfway in their first game of a home-and-home set for their season series this week. Misty broke her slump with a crisp 505 for Westside to start with. Smudge stayed in form with her 433 for Infinity. Goatee crushed 1465 for the Rockers, boosting their lead big time. Shelley put up 232 for the Torpedoes, leaving them with a large deficit. Midnight added 243 to maintain the Westside lead. Gabe got some with 371 for Infinity. Chicky Phil scored 150 for the Rockers, putting them at 2363 in what should be a win. Whiskers faltered with 64 for the Torpedoes, and they lost with 1100. Pepsi Prestige Park, Lighton: The first cricket edition of the British Derby is right here and now. Goldy suffered a terrible deflection, scoring only 51 for Everton. Acorn met a similar fate for Lighton, hitting only 96 on his turn. Puff III collected 466 for the Eagles on her turn, giving them a solid lead. Spirit tallied 240 for the Prestige, but they are now trailing. Cleo got overwhelmed at 178 for Everton, unable to handle a ball on her backhand long enough to escape the trap play. Twinkie I levied 568 for Lighton, giving them a late lead with a player each to go. Blizzard had only 115 for the Eagles, and they suffered defeat with a paltry 810. The Prestige won with a total of 1199 after Lydia struck 295 to end the game. Lighton gets a big win over their prime rival, jumping to 19-14, while Everton is down to 32-9.
UPS Ground, Maplewood: The Lumberjacks seek a sweep in a fierce Northeastern Derby battle. Twilight went with 305 for Central, a modest opener. Fluffina gave Maplewood a narrow lead with her 312, making it a close start. Dustin fired back with 443 for the Warriors, giving them a bit stronger of a lead. Bryant slipped with 218 for the Lumberjacks, and they now face a noticeable deficit. Noelle added a massive 609 for Central, building their lead up nicely. Diddley dented the deficit slightly, rallying to take 680 and make it a more intense game late. Gizmo swatted another 593 to bring the Warriors to a final of 1950. Cubby had just 208 for the Lumberjacks, and they lost with 1418. Central gets the win on a division foe, going to 22-16 overall, while Maplewood sits at 16-14.
Google Pitch at Union Ground, Modernistic: The rivalry action shifts to the Center Division with this Suburban Derby. Kiwi struck 395 to give Terrace City a strong lead in her first meeting with her former team. Juno shot back with 506 for Modernistic, topping the player she replaced to take the lead. Jennifer failed to cover the gap, taking a meager 57 for the Knights. Ms. Puppy fired back with 492 for the Union, adding to their lead. Oreo hit 352 for Terrace City, denting the deficit a bit. Chimpy slipped a bit with 256 for Modernistic, but they still have a decent lead late in the game. Stripes took only 361 for the Knights, failing to force a response as they lost with 1165. Puff I iced the Union win with 345 herself for 1599 total. A four-game win streak has Modernistic at 14-19, plowing through their former leader and Terrace City, who now stand at 20-19 as losers of their last five.
AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The Rockers look to avoid the sweep the Waves are looking for. Misty had only 87 in a poor showing for Westside. An opportunistic Snuggle capitalized by smashing 774 for Oceanside to give them a sizable lead. Goatee got a lot of it back with 554 for the Rockers, keeping them in range. Bells has only 112 for the Waves, letting their lead slip quite a bit at the halfway mark. Midnight got very unlucky, as her shot deflected out of bounds for a score of 16 as Westside lets the game get away again. Alyssa closed the door with 368 for Oceanside, putting her former team in a lot of trouble. Chicky Phil lined 270 for the Rockers, sealing their loss at 927. Pounce tacked on 192 for the Waves, giving them 1446 in their fifth straight home win. Oceanside is now 20-14, while Westside slips to 11-22.
Verizon Field, Pacific: The Volcanoes hope to avoid a trap game with the Shores in their first meeting this season. Bear stumbled with 215 for Whitewater to lead off the game. Starlight plucked 556 for Pacific, giving them a good opener. Twinkie III hammered 424 to cover the deficit for the Shores. Ms. Kitty produced 207 for the Volcanoes, getting beat as her swing got a bit long. Cheddar kept Whitewater on the offensive, slamming 510 to pull them farther ahead this time. Jack let Pacific fall behind with 126 on his turn, putting them in a dangerous position. Wild Thing posted 296 for the Shores, and they finish with 1445 as their final. Leonette's measly 104 put the Volcanoes at a loss with 993. Whitewater is 16-24 and the winner of four straight now, while Pacific's is slumping at 22-13.
Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: The Surfers get a soft match in this West Division battle with the Spurs. Spice had a decent start with her 376 for Victoria, pacing them well early. Watermelon clawed her way to a lead for Pearl with her 439. B. Chapman regained the lead for the Spurs, scoring 457 in a good performance. Neopolitan fired right back with 450 to keep the Surfers ahead at the halfway mark. Yekaterina ripped 725 for Victoria, giving them an even larger advantage this time. Wings slipped with 128 for Pearl, putting them in trouble at this point. Kavan hit a modest 112 to give the Spurs a final of 1670. Cowzart had a furious rally with 587 for the Surfers, but they fell with 1604 overall. Victoria stays strong on the road and is now 14-21 overall, while Pearl is down to 23-12 in fifth place.
Tridents Park sponsored by Ford, Pronger: Golden's Valencia wasted little time in staking out a huge lead for Golden, pummeling 747 for the visitors. Strawberry had a decent response for Pronger, lining 411 to keep a respectable score. Dusty had a measly 96 for the Pilots, destabilizing their lead. Hoot batted 503 for the Tridents, giving them a noticeable lead at the halfway point of the game. Strut answered quite sufficiently with 424 for Golden, regaining the lead on at least a temporary basis. Precious covered that deficit with 504, boosting the Pronger lead before the final players come to bat. A. Charlton did her part for the Pilots, producing 490 to give them a final of 1757 and force a response from the hosts. Paps came up short with 285 for the Tridents, leaving them short at 1703. Golden gets a much needed win to improve to 18-15, while Pronger's home losing streak reaches six games as they fall to 12-22.
Ebay Center, Queens: The Surfers need to beat a bottom-dwelling Flames team to avoid a downward spiral. Watermelon pounded 631 at the start to give Pearl a significant first lead. Crystal blitzed back with 581 for Queens, keeping it close early on. Neopolitan hit 384 for the Surfers, regaining some of their lead. Kayla got a lot of it back with her 321, but the Flames have a little more ground to cover now. Wings posted 343 for Pearl, keeping them in control of the game. Max made a dent in the deficit, rocking 423 for Queens to get them much closer as the game gets a bit late. Cowzart made one more push for the Surfers, leveling 522 for a grand total of 1880. Paige fired back with 650, giving the Flames 1975 and the win in a thrilling game. Queens is at 10-24, the last team to get to double-digit wins, while Pearl is in a nosedive to 23-13.
Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: The Swifts look to make it 15 straight wins on the road against a weak Center Division rival. Patches dropped the hammer with 850 for Boston at the start, putting them atop a high hill. Frosty had virtually no answer with just 21 to lead off for Royal. Puff II struck an acceptable 368 for the Swifts, recovering from a disastrous CCC outing. Jake went for 495 for the Crowns, proving steady with an excellent backhand play to keep his turn alive. Gradley got caught on a swing-and-miss, but had to wait for his wicket to be contacted, adding 231 for Boston after he skipped his chance at a replay. Marsell rallied back with 677 for Royal, severely denting the deficit late in the game. Sweetheart butchered the finish, adding a pathetic 33 to the Swifts total, which rests at 1482. Nightfur scraped 300 for the Crowns, giving them the win with 1493. Royal has done the seemingly impossible, getting the win for a 12-22 record, while dumping Boston to 26-13 as their 14-game road winning streak is snapped.
