Home Depot Forum, Web City: The Spiders need this win to keep their playoff hopes alive, while the Stills would like to win just for peace of mind. Easter got taken out abruptly for Todavía, a deflection causing her early exit as the deflected ball looped over her wicket and out of play to end her turn at 273. Shadow had a terrible start for Web City, producing a meager 66 on a very weak first turn. Sierra helped the Stills get to a more stable position in the lead, slinging 543 in a strong second attack for the visitors. Ted saw a ball get caught on the handle of his bat, which he knocked out at 220 as the Spiders fall farther behind. Sparkles kept Todavía trending in the right direction, lacing 488 to pad their lead once again. Shiny tried to fight back against her sister's team, but another deflection derailed the comeback as she scored a decent 376. Bells saw her turn end with an unfortunate bounce at 51 points, leaving the Stills a tad vulnerable at 1355 total. Dani couldn't rally for the Spiders with her 152, leaving them short at 814. Todavía's win lifts them to 26-22, while Web City's five-game home winning streak ends with them dropping to 20-25.
Cisco Tysini Field, Tysini: The Hummingbirds continue their busy week as they host the rising Meteors, who play their fourth of a five-game road trip. Mams found her groove very quickly for Viewpoint Sound, riding the swing to 702 to establish the visitors quickly. Princess seemed to find a similar zone for Tysini, but she didn't last as long, putting up 431 as the hosts trail a bit. Hoot left the game cursing his performance, which saw him hit a paltry 33 after a bad swing ended his turn. Leandra did exactly the same thing for the Hummingbirds, keeping things steady with her pitiful 33 as the game takes a low-scoring turn. Nibbles got things back on track with a sturdy 836 for Viewpoint Sound, padding their lead quite nicely. Charli slapped 496 for Tysini on her turn, trying to mitigate the damage going against them. Dominic racked up another 703 for the Meteors on his turn, raising their total to 2274 in an excellent road performance. Brownie couldn't save the day for the Hummingbirds, her 538 still leaving them short at 1498 overall. Viewpoint Sound bumps up to 19-22, while Tysini falls again to 18-28.
UPS Ground, Maplewood: The Lumberjacks try to end a six-game home stand on a positive note when they host their Shipping Derby rivals, the Sharks. Chelsea didn't have time to get her swing on track before she hit a ball out of play, ending on just 128 for Eastside. Fluffina countered with 411 for Maplewood, giving them the initial lead for once. Taylor struck back with a reasonable 375 for the Sharks, doing enough to cover the deficit for now with her solid performance. Diddley fired back with a big 766 for the Lumberjacks, extending their lead halfway through the game. Niki covered the damage and a little more for Eastside, selling out completely to get 796 in a wonderful outing for the sophomore. Bryant did cover the deficit going the other way for Maplewood with 247, but they have a smaller lead with just a player each to go. Paps collected 312 for the Sharks to close out their offense at 1611, forcing a response from the hosts once again. Waluigi left the fans restless as he hit only a pathetic 63, giving the Lumberjacks a losing final of 1487. Eastside just escaped with the win to go to 21-26, while Maplewood's seventeenth straight home loss puts them at 14-35 in frustration.
Toyota Pitch, Freedom: The Cascades play their second in a six-game home stand against the Tradewinds in this battle for nothing more than pride. Tigerette had a good pace going before a distraction cut her down at 361 for Commerce in an acceptable first turn. Jasmine answered with a bit more strength and composure, churning out 527 to give Freedom the initial lead with her effort. Ice Cream worked steadily to build up her pace, but never centered her swing, causing her to exit at 231 for the Tradewinds. Stinky countered quite well with 572 for the Cascades, boosting their lead a bit. Lionel couldn't cover the deficit for Commerce this time, and his turn wasn't all that great with 187, a mediocre mark. Roxy tacked on a simple 348 for Freedom, unable to get more when a ball rolled up her bat as she swung. Lorde finally broke out for a big rally for the Tradewinds, covering the deficit with 811 as she iced their offense at 1590, which will force the hosts to make a response. Nikolai did far more than he had to for the Cascades, his 643 putting them at 2090 in the win. Freedom's strong game gets them to 15-28, while Commerce continues to slide to 21-31.
Capital City SuperCenter, Capital City: The Sharpshooters face a tough task when they bring in the top-tier Volcanoes on a one-off road game for the visitors. Starlight elected for a replay when a technical error occurred, allowing her to raise her outing to 441 for Pacific in a decent start. Chris couldn't hold his swing down long enough for Capital City to catch up, ending on an alright 345. Ms. Kitty shot back with a nice 502 for the Volcanoes, padding their lead a bit more with the second attack. Missy went big for the Sharpshooters in response, pulling them ahead at the halfway mark with her 722. Leonette managed to restore a smaller lead for Pacific on her turn, hauling in 543 in the appearance. Sprinkles countered for Capital City with 571, giving them the lead again as this game will come down to what the final players do. Chicky Phil didn't have the most confident effort against his first club, hitting 336 to bring the Volcanoes to 1822 overall in the tight game. Nicole chipped 234 at the end for the Sharpshooters, bringing their final to 1872 in the narrow win. Capital City snapped a seven-game home losing streak to go to 26-27, while Pacific's crooked road results leave them at 34-18.
FedEx Ground, Eastside: These two teams started the year slowly, but recent results have shown improvement across the board as they meet here. Panda used a backhand to keep his turn going at one stage, drilling 739 for Southern in a fabulous beginning for the visiting team. Chelsea slugged back with 1239 for Eastside, a huge performance from the captain to gain the hosts a significant lead. Hoppy also tried a backhand touch for the Monarchs, but it wasn't so clean, and she ended with 375, unable to cover the deficit. Taylor gained a little bit more for the Sharks, adding a nice 501 to their lead. Pounce finally ran out of good luck for Southern, with an early deflection just clipping the boundary to sink him with 39. Niki let up a bit for Eastside, contributing 240 to their offense to build the lead slightly more. Shannon picked up only 197 for the Monarchs on her turn, leaving them at a losing total of 1350 for the game. Paps brought the game to a quick end with his 42 for the Sharks, putting them at 2022 in the win. Eastside's impressive outing raises their record to 22-26, passing the now 19-24 Southern side they just dispatched.
The Intel Pitch, Diamond: The Gems make a one-game stopover at home to host the Defenders in their second of a three-game road trip. Bianca had a quite forgettable turn for Southridge to lead off this game, taking a meager 57 after getting too aggressive on a swing. Smokey looked to be off to the races for Diamond, but he ended up falling off at 371 with a wild swing of his own. Debby also made an effort to get the Defenders going, but clipped the corner of the boundary to end her turn at 187. Citrus fired back with a big rally for the Gems, stabilizing their lead quite well with 815 on her turn. Stephanie couldn't do a whole lot for Southridge on her turn either, allowing them to continue falling behind as she scored only 290. Pedey did his part to contribute to the Diamond lead, slicing 681 to grow their advantage even more before the final players come to bat. Hughbert quickly fell with only 69 for the Defenders, with a ball popping off his handle to end the team's offense at 603. Rosalina got beat on a deflection for the Gems, but her 115 just iced their win at 1982. Diamond gets a boost to 19-38 on the year, while Southridge falls down to 21-32.
AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The Swifts have a chance to challenge for first as they visit the Waves, who play their third of a six-game home stand. Patches didn't have the most convincing opener for Boston, clipping 192 before an abrupt and early exit from the captain. Snuggle capitalized on the opportunity at hand, clobbering 992 for Oceanside to give them a massive lead early on. Puff II took over the game for the Swifts on her turn, crushing 1496 to put the visitors ahead by a large margin. Caitlin didn't get all that close to covering the deficit with her 488 for the Waves at the halfway mark. Gradley picked up 354 for Boston, attempting to keep their lead fairly steady at this point. His daughter Celestia made mild progress for Oceanside on her turn, batting 392 to shrink the deficit slightly before the final players take their turns. Sweetheart went fairly deep for the Swifts on her turn with 664, bringing the team offense to a total of 2706. Dewey flicked 311 for the Waves on his turn, not enough to get them a result as they lose valiantly at 2183. Boston takes over first place at 35-17, while Oceanside's fifth straight home loss sinks them to 24-28.
Pepsi Prestige Park, Lighton: The Prestige return home fresh off of a bye week to face a Monarchs team beginning to figure out what they can do when in form. Panda had a fairly steady offense going, but a distraction caused his downfall for Southern, ending on a middling 247 for the turn. Acorn was forced into a tough spot for Lighton, but pulled off a rare double-touch backhand to continue his turn, eventually bailing at 599 in the great game. Hoppy saw a deflection float just a bit too long for her liking, ending her turn at 265 as the Monarchs are floundering a bit. Spirit countered with a lot of pace for the Prestige, ripping 769 to extend their lead quite a bit. Pounce couldn't regain his recent form this time, slipping at 192 as Southern continues to get pummeled. Twinkie I adjusted Lighton to cruising mode, gathering a simple 272 to keep their lead in good shape at this stage of the game. Shannon put on a rally for the Monarchs with 557, not enough to save them from the loss at 1261 though. Salmo tacked on another 520 for the Prestige at the end to give them 2160 in the big win. Lighton rises to 21-32, while bumping Southern back down to 19-25.
Amazon Field, Golden: The Pilots are set to play their third of four straight games at home, facing a Hummingbirds team overwhelmed by their busy schedule this week. Princess started with a blistering pace for Tysini, but eased off of it for awhile before bouncing back to end at 613. Valencia got beat when she had to balance a ball on her backhand, ending with 344 for Golden when it slipped from her. Leandra responded quite well for the Hummingbirds with a quick 449, padding their lead a bit on the second attack. Dusty shot back immediately for the Pilots with 1038, doing well to give them the lead at the midway point. Charli was barely able to cover the deficit for Tysini, picking up 336 on her decent turn. Strut reclaimed the lead for Golden, but a much smaller lead exists, as he hit only 208 on his turn. Brownie forced a response from the hosts, slapping 480 to give the Hummingbirds their final score at 1878. A. Charlton did enough for the Pilots with 324, sealing their win at 1914 overall. Golden barely got away with this one, improving their record to 29-17, while Tysini fades to 18-29 as the nightmarish week continues for them.
Verizon Field, Pacific: The Volcanoes are hoping to get back into the top-tier fight, but they face a Shores team hoping their good play can follow as they start a three-game road trip. Bear started off quite well for Whitewater, pounding 733 to give his side a significant advantage. Starlight responded fairly well for Pacific with 521 to keep them in the fight after the initial turns. Twinkie III covered that damage herself, cranking out 544 to keep the Shores firmly in control of the game. Ms. Kitty pulled back a bit more with 591 for the Volcanoes on her turn, slightly shrinking the deficit. Marsell fired back with 458 for Whitewater, refusing to let them become vulnerable with the strong outing. Leonette took an awful swing for Pacific on her turn, causing her to exit early with a measly 21, putting them in deep trouble. Shaggy accepted 408 for the Shores on her turn after a technical error brought her down, giving them a total of 2143. Chicky Phil couldn't pull off the comeback for the Volcanoes, falling at 352 to seal their losing total at 1465. Whitewater continues to surge up to 24-15, while Pacific drops off to 34-19 as their six-game home winning streak ends.
Audi Knights Pitch, Terrace City: The Suburban Derby is here to close out segment 25.2, with these rivals battling in an Urban Divisional. Ms. Puppy kicked off Modernistic's three-game road trip in excellent form, lining 743 to establish a large lead for the visitors in this game. Kiwi answered fairly well for Terrace City with her 472, but they are noticeably behind nonetheless. Daisy lashed out with a big 845 for the Union on her turn, giving their lead a massive boost with her strong appearance. Jennifer countered with 679 for the Knights on her turn, trying to keep them in range at the halfway mark. Puff I put up a good fight with 448 for Modernistic, maybe weakening their lead slightly. Oreo's turn didn't last that long for Terrace City, as she couldn't flick a ball back in play on her backhand, and it took her out at 32. Strawberry left the door open a bit with her 256 for the Union, giving them their final score of 2292. Stripes had to go to her backhand as well, and it too failed her, giving her just 144 as the Knights lose with 1327 total. Modernistic is at an even 23-23 record, while Terrace City takes a rare home loss in their fall to 32-22.
That's it for this segment. There's more to come on Twitter
