2016 Qualifiers - Day 13

Apparently yesterday, we went a game over, which had to be done at some point to cover the extra game when dividing into groups of five. As such, there are only 455 games left, which we will play over the next eight to nine days. Today starts with...

Kavan of the Victoria Spurs shooting Accuracy with the silver cue, the seventh player to finish up so far. Kavan took 23 shots with no errors, finishing with a score of 165 total in a decent qualifying run. Moving along, there's Neopolitan of the Pearl Surfers shooting 15-ball with the red cue. Neopolitan took 27 shots with three errors in a solid performance. The third player of the day is B. Chapman of the Victoria Spurs, keeping the red cue at the table for more 15-ball. Chapman took 26 shots with no errors in a dazzling effort, keeping control as the essential key to the game. Next up, Cleo of the Everton Eagles takes the red cue for 12-ball. Cleo scored 20 with one error in a very well-played fifth appearance of the season. Rounding out this group, Zach of the Viewpoint Sound Meteors plays 12-ball with the blue cue. Zach shot 19 with one error in a sparkling performance.

Group two leads off with Sweetheart of the Boston Swifts using the red cue for Rotation. Sweetheart ended up at 36 shots with three errors in a sloppy showing. Diddley of the Maplewood Lumberjacks went next, using the silver cue to score 20 in 8-ball with just one error in a very composed game. Up next is Missy of the Capital City Sharpshooters, who shot 18 with three errors with the silver cue for 9-ball, a very rough third appearance of the season. The ninth player of the day is Kayla of the Queens Flames, also shooting 9-ball but with the blue cue. Kayla shot 10 with no errors in a dazzling appearance, shooting improbable shots with ease. The group concludes with J. Garcia of the Southridge Defenders playing 10-ball with the silver cue. Garcia ended up scoring 21 with three errors in a messy showing.

The third batch begins as Kelly of the Viewpoint Sound Meteors steps in for 15-ball with the blue cue. Kelly finished with 27 shots and three errors in a reasonably good game. Continuing along, we have Stinky of the Freedom Cascades using the red cue for Rotation. Stinky needed 37 shots with five errors in a pathetic attempt at shooting. The thirteenth player drawn today is Puff III of the Everton Eagles, keeping the game as Rotation but using the silver cue. Puff III took 35 shots with five errors in a very trying rack. Misty of the Westside Rockers gets the next game, playing 8-ball with the blue cue. Misty needed only 20 shots with no errors in a crisp second appearance of the season. Wrapping up the group, we have Cleo making another appearance today, using the silver cue for Rotation. Cleo finished in 29 shots with just one error, a solid outing.

The fourth group kicks off with Americus of the Atlantic Pirates shooting 15-ball with the red cue to the tune of 7 shots with one error, as she capitalized on the chance to take a 4-15 combination to the top left when it arose, despite a bad angle. Following that stunner, we have Misty again, as the Rockers captain uses the silver cue for 9-ball. Misty needed just 13 shots with no errors in a quick take-down of the rack. The eighteenth player drawn today is Royal Crowns captain Frosty, using the blue cue for Accuracy as the eighth player to finish qualifying. Frosty shot 23 with no errors, ending her sessions at 179, a bit below the expected average. Moving along, A. Charlton of the Golden Pilots is up to shoot Rotation with the red cue. Charlton shot well early, but faltered after the 5, ending with 31 shots and four errors in a frustrating game as a reminder that no one ever has it fully under control with Rotation. The segment closes with Victoria Spurs captain Spice shooting 10-ball with the blue cue. Spice shot 20 with two errors in a fairly average showing.

Opening in group five is Misty again, now with the red cue for 10-ball in her third game of the day for the Rockers. Misty has found a groove today, needing just 2 shots and a couple of caroms to convert the 2-10 combination the bottom right in the error-free game, which acted as a double-pot with the 7 falling in the bottom side when the table's vibrations reached a peak, not falling from contact. The 22nd player called today is Roxy of the Freedom Cascades, the ninth player to finish qualifying as she plays Accuracy with the blue cue. Roxy shot 20 with no errors in the game, ending her qualifying with a final of 149 in a very good series of games. Moving along, Boots of the Southridge Defenders shoots 9-ball with the red cue. Boots shot 16 with two errors. Next up, Garcia of the Defenders appears again with the silver cue for 12-ball, Garcia shot 21 again with only one error, a solid outing. The group ends with Dominic of the Atlantic Pirates shooting 10-ball with the blue cue. Dominic shot 19 with no errors, playing a very clean and patient style to near-perfection.

The sixth segment begins with Amber of the Atlantic Pirates playing 8-ball with the silver cue. Amber shot 20 with no errors, a very strong second appearance of the season. Continuing along, The Pirates hog the table as Dominic returns for 12-ball with the blue cue. Dominic shot 21 with one error in a solid performance. The 28th player of the day is Cassandra of the Diamond Gems, playing 12-ball with the blue cue. Cassandra planned and executed well, scoring 27 with no errors in a pristine fifth appearance. Following that, there's Cowzart of the Pearl Surfers playing Accuracy with the blue cue, the tenth player to finish. Cowzart shot 21 with no errors in the game, finishing his qualifying at 171, nearly on the average spot. The group concludes as Kelly of the Meteors plays her Accuracy game with the red cue, scoring 21 in the game with one error. Kelly, the eleventh player to finish her qualifying, had 155 total shots, a reasonably good performance overall that has her first full season looking good at the start.

Group seven kicks off with Chicky Phil of the Westside Rockers playing 15-ball with the silver cue. Chicky Phil shot 28 but with four errors in a mixed-bag game. The 32nd player called today is Todavía Stills captain Easter, playing Rotation with the blue cue to the tune of 24 shots with no errors, a very good performance in the mid-20s range for once (as opposed to her four previous games, which we between acceptable and terrible). Moving along, there's Jake of the Royal Crowns playing Rotation with the silver cue. Jake took 36 shots with four errors in a weak appearance. Next up, we have Debby Ryan of the Southridge Defenders shooting 15-ball with the blue cue. The incumbent Rookie of the Year shot 38 for this game, with five errors, a classic sophomore slump in full effect. Rounding out the batch, Dominic gets another appearance for the Pirates, shooting rotation with the blue cue. Dominic shot 31 with two errors after a poor break made clear shots few and far between.

The eighth group starts with Leonardo of the Todavía Stills playing Accuracy with the silver cue as the twelfth player to finish qualifying. Leonardo shot 20 with no errors in a very crisp game, ending his run with 150 total shots in an above-average series of games. Next up is Missy for her second game of the day for the Sharpshooters. With the red cue in 10-ball, Missy scored 17 with one error included, a very solid outing. Moving along, we have Nicole of the Southern Monarchs shooting 15-ball with the blue cue. Nicole dazzled in a sparkling 22 shot and one error performance, wowing the crowd. The 39th player drawn today is Niki of the Eastside Sharks, shooting Rotation with the red cue. Niki stayed patient in a difficult game, shooting 33 with only one error as the shots lined up much better but too late to make the game good. Finishing the afternoon, there's Stinky of the Cascades appearing for a second game today, 15-ball with the silver cue. Stinky cleared the rack in 28 shots with no errors in a very good showing.

Leading off the evening, group nine sees Goatee of the Westside Rockers play 15-ball with the red cue. Goatee dazzled in shooting 19 with no errors, ending on a 13-15 bank combination to the bottom left to bring the game to a quicker end. Next up, Cleo of the Everton Eagles gets another game, keeping the red cue at the table for 15-ball. Cleo also induced an early finish, scoring 27 shots with three errors with a finishing bank combination of the 12-15 to the top right. Moving along, we have Cheddar of the Whitewater Shores using the silver cue for 12-ball. Cheddar managed a reasonable 23 with two errors in a less-than-ideal rack. The 44th player drawn today is Twilight of the Central Warriors, stepping in for 8-ball with the red cue. Twilight shot 22 with no errors in an average showing as 8-ball gets down to its final three players. The batch ends with Missy appearing again, with the Sharpshooters star shooting 12-ball with the red cue. Missy scored 23 with three errors in a rocky finish to a decent game.

The tenth group opens as Crystal of the Queens Flames, in game #647, is the final debutant for the season, playing 7-ball with the silver cue. Crystal took only 6 shots, with no errors, in a dazzling finish to the first event on the ledger. Now, the game closest to its finish is 8-ball, with three players left. Misty of the Westside Rockers gets the next game, her fourth of the day, playing 12-ball with the silver cue. Misty cleared the table in 22 shots with no errors, a very strong effort. The 48th player of the day is another busy player today, Dominic of the Pirates, taking the silver cue for 15-ball. Dominic ended early at 23 shots with three errors on a 9-15 combination to the bottom right to avoid any further damage. Clear shots were not plentiful, but Dominic did well for himself. Continuing along, there's Kayla of the Flames appearing again for 10-ball with the red cue. Kayla struggled with 29 shots and six errors in an embarrassing appearance. The group closes with Stinky of the Cascades wrapping up his appearance with Accuracy and the blue cue, the thirteenth player to finish their sessions. Stinky shot 20 in the game with one error, and ended with a total of 172, right on the button for average play.

This week will feature bonus groups, and the eleventh group of tonight is the first of those, led by Kirstin of the Southern Monarchs shooting Rotation with the red cue. Kirstin stunned by shooting 20 with two errors, navigating the rack like a seasoned veteran. Next up is Gizmo of the Central Warriors, using the silver cue in Rotation to score 29 with two errors in a challenging game. Continuing along, there's Citrus of the Diamond Gems for Rotation with the blue cue. Citrus excelled, shooting only 23 shots with no errors in an impressive appearance. The 54th player drawn today is Shaggy of the Southridge Defenders, shooting 9-ball with the silver cue. Shaggy scored 17 with a single error in a simple style of play for her third appearance. The segment ends with Starlight of the Pacific Volcanoes using the red cue for 12-ball. Starlight started white-hot, but ended up cooling quickly, ending up at 24 shots with two errors as she didn't plan out the whole game very well.

The final batch of the day starts with Cubby of the Maplewood Lumberjacks playing Accuracy with the silver cue, the fourteenth player to finish qualifying. Cubby shot 17 with no errors for the game, finishing with a grand total of 154 in a well-above average run. Up next, we have Gabe of the Infinity Torpedoes shooting 15-ball with the red cue. Gabe hit 27 with three errors in a reasonable performance. The 58th player drawn today is Precious of the Pronger Tridents, using the silver cue for 10-ball. Precious hounded the 10 for 23 shots, but had to take it to clear the table instead of early, with only one error in the high-strung rack. Following that, Jake of the Crowns gets another game for today, shooting 15-ball with the red cue. Jake hit 29 with three errors in a bit of a rough but workable game. Finally, the day ends with Diamond Gems star Citrus shooting 15-ball with the red cue in her second game of the day. Citrus scored 26 with one error, ending the game early on a 12-15 combination to the top right for a better finish.

Tomorrow should look pretty similar to today with the SCL morning and 60 games of qualifiers.
