All quarterfinals series will be best of three, followed by best of five semifinals and a best of seven final. The American Rebels hosting the Manila Pacmen for the first of their two meetings this week. Haejun Ki had just 50 points for Manila in a rough opening. Axel Cools answered with 218 for American. Porfirio Cazares answered with 575 for the Pacmen, getting them back in the game. Louvel Lefevre replied with 53 for the Rebels, putting them in trouble. Sander Verheyen managed only 80 points for Manila, leaving them vulnerable in the rocky game. Sander Lambert replied with 488 for American, cashing in on the opportunity. Gerben Bovelt slapped 456 in response for the Pacmen, restoring a lead for them. Irsyad Sudjana slugged 595 to keep the Rebels in the lead. Dries Renard reclaimed 249 for Manila, keeping them competitive. Sabino Chacon kept the pace on the American attack with 312. Richard Miller bombed in with 829 for the Pacmen, putting them at 2239 total. Cisco Solorio wouldn't tolerate Miller's outburst, bashing 1282 for the Rebels to win with 2948. American improves to 10-8 while Manila dropped to 8-11.
Next up, the Amsterdam Hotstove welcome the Caracas Hitmen. Vitaya Grichson melted to 96 points for Caracas. Jerry Burke blasted 501 for Amsterdam to open the game up. Barasa Contee got turned around, ending up at a measly 25 for the Hitmen. Yaozu Miao took just 39 for the Hotstove in another pathetic effort. Noppadon Gruemor flipped 256 for Caracas to get them going in a positive direction. Carlos Barajas dug in for 811 for Amsterdam. Trevor Watson churned out 441 for the Hitmen. Veto Casas unleashed 527 for the Hotstove, continuing a surprisingly good game from them. Maynard Cabagnot had only 58 for Caracas. Andrew Reynolds chipped 271 for Amsterdam. Bojing Luo had 375 to put the Hitmen at 1251 total in the loss. Manolito Avalos had 248 to ice the Hotstove victory at 2397. Amsterdam plays spoiler in going to 4-17 while dropping Caracas to 4-13
Continuing along, the Bangkok Sixes host the Guatemala Conquistadors. Frisco Romero began with 208 for Guatemala. Firdoze Uns couldn't keep up with 37 for Bangkok. Eustacio Zarraga had just 128 for the Conquistadors, leaving them vulnerable. Gilbert Berry got some back with 160 for the Sixes. Kenzo Hashimoto got shut down at 217 for Guatemala, doing little to maintain their lead. Aleix Nieto pulled Bangkok into the lead with 385 in his turn. Curtis Caldwell ripped 247 for the Conquistadors to regain the lead in a modest fashion. Zuri Okafor lined 551 for the Sixes to take a more comfortable lead. Azul Mora struck with 447 for Guatemala, keeping them competitive. Rodas Nunez had 311 to keep Bangkok in front. Adrien Laurent kept hope alive for the Conquistadors with 198 to put them at 1445, a point ahead but without the home-field advantage. Luis Godinez handled it with 160 for the Sixes, giving them the win at 1604. Bangkok is now 12-8 while Guatemala falls to 9-9.
Back in Europe, the Brussels Chocolatiers bring in the Seoul Crushers in the first of their two games this week. Natal Badillo popped 302 for Seoul. Patrido Salazar belted 636 for Brussels to begin. Gwandoya Makeba pulled in just 80 for the Crushers. Florent Claes failed to extend the lead with just 32 for the Chocolatiers. Leandro Gamboa crushed 928 for Seoul to take the lead. Dobromil Zeman shot back with 584 for Brussels, keeping things frenetic in this game. Max Jennings grabbed 505 to keep the Crushers in charge. Rodas Cazares faltered with 9 points for the Chocolatiers, putting them in a big hole all of a sudden. Frank Schmidt slapped 272 for Seoul, maintaining the lead. Eric Zaragoza cranked out 439 for Brussels, keeping them in striking range. Zdenko Jansky's 112 made it 2199 for the Crushers as their final. Jaturun Choen got only 211 for the Chocolatiers, as they took a loss with 1911. Seoul improves to 9-8 while Brussels is 7-13.
Finally, this portion of the week ends with the Caracas Hitmen hosting the American Rebels. Axel Cools led off with 239 for American. Vitaya Grichson's aggressive style ended up costing Caracas as he got cut down at 160. Louvel Lefevre scooped up 144 for the Rebels. Barasa Contee matched it exactly with 144 of his own for the Hitmen. Sander Lambert cranked out 378 for American in a good showing. Noppadon Gruemor couldn't keep up, hitting only 152 for Caracas. Irsyad Sudjana failed to solidify the lead with only 135 for the Rebels. Trevor Watson hauled in 200 for the Hitmen. Sabino Chacon posted just 98 points for American. Maynard Cabagnot pulled 241 for Caracas, making the game a little closer. Cisco Solorio grabbed 304 to give the Rebels 1298 total. Bojing Luo had 145 for the Hitmen, but they lost with 1042 total. American jumps to 11-8 while dumping Caracas to 4-14.
