Elite Cricket 2019 - Week 15

We're ready to go in the Elite division for Week 15. First up...

Toyota Pitch, Freedom: The Cascades open a three-game week with Nikolai on the bench, while the Flames' only appearance this week comes without their star Violetta in the lineup. Crystal lined 537 for Queens on the opening turn, getting them going quite well. Jasmine replied with 546 for Freedom, pulling the hosts ahead by the thinnest margins. Briana countered with 460 for the Flames, the road legend doing well to restore a lead. Roxy topped it with 496 for the Cascades, maintaining a narrow lead at the midway mark. Mario was unforgiving with 584 for Queens, continuing to pressure the hosts. Stripes tried to fight back, but her 445 for Freedom gave away their lead late in the game. Hannah had good pace but exited with 297 for the Flames, leaving them vulnerable at 1878 overall. Stinky wasn't able to recover all of the deficit with 308 for the Cascades, who took the loss on 1795. Queens escapes to 19-11, while Freedom is now 11-12.

Verizon Field, Pacific: The Volcanoes give Ms. Kitty an extra game off out of the United Cup break, while the visiting Stills sit their captain Easter in this match. Ruby had a sloppy start with only 80 points for Todavía on the first turn. Starlight fell at 487 for Pacific, enough to carve out a solid lead early on. Sierra covered the deficit with 499 for the Stills, but they're far from safety. Twinkie I returned the Volcanoes to the lead with 377, but their advantage is smaller than before. Bells answered with 484 for Todavía, continuing to keep the visitors in the mix. Leonette repelled most of the danger with 414 for Pacific, who hold to a shrinking lead entering the final turn. Prism charged with 619 for the Stills at the end, closing their attack at 1682. Cowzart slipped with 330 for the Volcanoes, and they lost with 1608. Todavía's comeback takes them to 11-21, while Pacific is 18-13 after the tough loss.

Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: Nightfur will be out of the lineup for the Crowns as they host a Cascades team resting Stinky for this contest. Jasmine had an alright 308 for Freedom from the lead-off position. Kayla responded with 504 for Royal on their opening attack, enough to pace the hosts to the initial lead. Roxy shot back with a strong 481 for the Cascades, perhaps personally turning a corner after a rough start to the year. Jake parried with 434 for the Crowns, enough to keep them ahead at the midway mark. Nikolai muscled up for 650 for Freedom on his turn, propelling them pretty far ahead. Brownie offset most of the damage with 646 for Royal, who have the advantage with a player each to go. Stripes put in a challenge with 464 for the Cascades to close their offense at 1903. Cassie wrapped up 260 for the Crowns, leaving them short at 1844 overall. Freedom was lucky to win, rising to 12-12, while Royal's home woes continue at 2-14 at home and 8-24 overall.

Nike Field, Commerce: The Tradewinds begin a tripleheader with the first of two home games, sitting Niki while the visiting Tridents play without Spot in the first game of a home-and-home between the teams this week. Precious led off with 445 for Pronger on the opening turn. Tigerette couldn't keep up with 245 for Commerce, putting them behind at first. Zach slapped 375 for the Tridents on the second attack, building their lead a little higher. Solaris didn't challenge very well, his 255 allowing the Tradewinds to fall farther behind. Potter tripped up with a high swing at 209 for Pronger, endangering their lead. Taylor S. made good gains with 464 for Commerce, cutting the deficit heading into the final players' turns. Lize reinforced the Tridents' lead with an even 600, icing their game at 1629. Rosemary didn't even come close with a pathetic 50 for the Tradewinds, leaving them at a loss with 1014. Pronger surges to 17-9 while Commerce is 16-12 on the year.

Nike Field, Commerce: Tigerette will sit out the middle game of the tripleheader for the Tradewinds, while the Defenders give Caitlin her first road game off this season. Bianca picked up 529 for Southridge to lead things off. Solaris shot back with 490 for Commerce this time, keeping them close after the first turn. Debby had a misplay at 341 for the Defenders, sticking them in a tough position. Taylor S. made no such mistake, hammering 584 for the Tradewinds to propel them ahead at the halfway point. Stephanie covered the deficit with 351 for Southridge, but they can't feel all that comfortable. Niki erupted for 883 for Commerce in response, solidifying their lead late in the game. Wario collapsed at 195 for the Defenders, who lost with 1416 overall. Rosemary iced the Tradewinds win with 353 for a total of 2310. Commerce is back up to 17-12 while Southridge continues to hang out in last at 6-20.

AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The Tradewinds will sit Rosemary on the road to end their tripleheader, while the host Waves have Dewey on the bench to start a five-game home stand. Tigerette stormed out to a pacey 509 for Commerce to start the scoring. Snuggle didn't last as long, hitting 350 for Oceanside as they'll play from behind this time. Solaris hit a high ball to exit at 334 for the Tradewinds, barely keeping their lead steady. Celestia made a move with 419 for the Waves, outplaying her brother and shrinking the deficit all at once. Taylor S. rebutted it with 476 for Commerce, keeping their lead reasonably strong. Josie lost ground with 407 for Oceanside this time, making their need for offense urgent on the last turn. Niki weakened the Tradewinds' lead with 276 on her turn, icing their attack at 1595. Jason V. rallied with 476 for the Waves at the end, capping their attack at 1652 for the comeback win. Oceanside's late push lifts them to 22-8, while Commerce drops to 17-13.

Apple Park, Todavía: The Stills are home now, sitting Bells for long overdue rest, while the visiting Crowns play without Cassie as they begin a doubleheader. Kayla started with 436 for Royal, a solid performance for the visitors in a battle between teams mired in the relegation zone. Ruby whacked 734 for Todavía in response, pushing the hosts confidently ahead. Jake tried a flick play but sent the ball out of play at 146 points, failing to cover the deficit for the Crowns. Sierra countered with 470 for the Stills to build up their lead a bit more. Nightfur tried to get Royal going with a fairly standard 402. Easter churned out 566 for Todavía, who appear to be running away with this match. Brownie didn't meet the mark with 285 for the Crowns, leaving them to lose with 1269. Prism sent a message with 605 at the end for the Stills to cap their win at 2375. Todavía improves to 12-21 while Royal is 8-25.

Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: The Crowns return home to complete their doubleheader with Jake on the bench, while the Defenders sit Wario in the third of their five-game road trip. Bianca pushed 504 for Southridge at the start of the game, giving them a stable foundation. Kayla couldn't keep up with 346 for Royal, causing the hosts to trail early on. Debby crushed 855 for the Defenders on the second attack, doing well to secure their lead some more. Nightfur had the pace for more than the 350 she added to the Crowns' offense in a game quickly getting out of hand. Stephanie tacked on 579 more for a cruising Southridge side. Brownie lined 564 for Royal, just about matching the most recent damage. Caitlin had just 160 for the Defenders at the end, giving them a total of 2098. Cassie crashed out with 371 as the Crowns took the loss with 1631. Southridge rises to 7-20, trading places with the 8-26 Royal team.

Apple Park, Todavía: Bells will sit for a second-straight game for the Stills, while Solaris cycles out for the Tradewinds as the two busiest teams of the week clash in a Purple Derby. Tigerette paddled 341 for Commerce initially, an acceptable outing for the captain. Ruby dropped off with 243 for Todavía, giving the game a low-scoring feel at the start. Taylor S. raised the stakes, pounding out 750 for the Tradewinds on the second attack. Sierra didn't match the intensity, her 180 putting the Stills in a deep hole. Niki couldn't make a reaching save, falling at 336 for Commerce. Easter had the makings of a rally before clipping the boundary at 329 for Todavía. Rosemary did okay with 345 for the Tradewinds, ending their attack at 1772 overall. Prism went with 326 for the Stills, unable to do anything to help them come back in their loss with 1078. Commerce surges to 18-13, while Todavía dips to 12-22.

Apple Park, Todavía: The Stills will give Sierra a breather for this Coastal derby match, while the visiting Surfers are without Neopolitan this time. Watermelon had good placement but not enough urgency for Pearl, ending up at 438 to open the scoring. Ruby got most of it back with a solid 405 for Todavía to keep things close. Boots cancelled that out with 402 for the Surfers, keeping the pace of the game steady. Bells returned to the lineup with a vengeance, slashing 575 for the Stills to propel them ahead at the midway point. Bright pushed back with 625 for Pearl, reclaiming the lead for now. Easter crumbled at 104 for Todavía, putting them far back with a player each to go. Beth had a solid 361 for the Surfers at the end, icing their offense at 1826. Prism came up short with 321 for the Stills, leaving them at a loss with 1405. Pearl moves up to 18-10 and Todavía drops again to 12-23.

Henry Ford Memorial Stadium, Pronger: The Tridents look to make it two in a row against the Tradewinds, with the hosts sitting Zach for this game while the visitors bench Niki again. Tigerette had a respectable start with 445 for Commerce, hoping to hold off their highly ranked foes. Precious attacked with a higher pace and raked in 611 to give Pronger the initial lead. Solaris hooked a swing too high and ended at 304 for the Tradewinds, lightly covering the deficit. Spot extended the Tridents lead a little bit with 463. Taylor S. faded a bit with 434 for Commerce after playing in all five of their games this week. Potter covered it with 540 for Pronger, boosting their lead one more time. Rosemary's 410 for the Tradewinds didn't force a response, as the visitors lost with 1593. Lize kept it simple with only 112 for the Tridents to ice their win at 1726. Pronger completed the home-and-home sweep to get to 18-9 while Commerce slips to 18-14.

Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: Jasmine will get her first game of the season off in this rematch from earlier in the week, while the host Crowns sit their star Kayla as well. Roxy didn't maintain her initial pace, dropping out at 209 for Freedom. Jake kept a cleaner run, ending with 329 to put Royal ahead at first. Nikolai ripped a ball out of play to end with just 186 for the Cascades on the second attack. Nightfur shot back with 639 for the Crowns, extending their lead significantly. Stripes didn't apply much pressure with 240 for Freedom. Brownie fired back with 434 to extend Royal's lead again. Stinky's 379 was not enough to save the Cascades, as they lost with 1014 overall. Cassie capped the Crowns win with 575 individually for a total of 1977, snapping an 11-game home losing streak. Royal is up to 9-26, while Freedom moves to 12-13.

That's all for Elite in this week. Premier is up for a full week tomorrow as part of the continued schedule acceleration.
