Elite action returns for Week 16, beginning with...

Pepsi Prestige Park, Lighton: The Prestige give Spirit this game off, while the visiting Stills begin their doubleheader with Prism taking a rest in the road game. Ruby got things going quite well with 657 for Todavía on their opening turn. Acorn let a ball get behind him and he failed to flick it to safety, giving Lighton only 289 to start with. Sierra smashed 1034 for the Stills, keeping their offense strong with the relentless effort. Citrus had a measly 96 for the Prestige, who look unprepared to make any challenge. Bells notched 572 for Todavía, building their lead even higher in the lopsided contest. Nicole grabbed 345 for Lighton in a solid turn. Easter played well with 451 for the Stills, capping their offense at 2714 in the likely blowout win. Shiny had 320 as the Prestige took the loss at 1050. Todavía emerged at 13-23 while Lighton drops to 10-19.

Apple Park, Todavía: The Stills return home to complete the doubleheader, sitting Easter for regular rest, while the Defenders come to town with Caitlin back on the bench. Bianca sprayed 348 for Southridge to start the game. Ruby covered it with 366 for Todavía, putting the hosts narrowly ahead to begin the game. Debby faltered with 152 for the Defenders, leaving them vulnerable after the weak turn. Sierra stayed hot with a massive 665 to stake out a large lead for the Stills at the halfway mark. Stephanie had a lowly 130 for Southridge, who have failed to challenge the hosts thus far. Bells clubbed 515 for Todavía, the supporting attack doing well to protect the lead. Wario had a solid pace before missing a swing at 379 to leave the Defenders with just 1009 overall in the loss. Prism did okay with 324 to finish the Stills' win at 1870. Todavía climbs again to 14-23, while Southridge drops to 7-21.

Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: The Castle Derby gets another chapter here, with the visiting Flames benching Hannah while the host Crowns are without Brownie. Crystal crushed 858 for Queens on the first turn, staking out a massive lead for the visitors. Kayla only got 285 back for Royal in a middling performance on their initial attack. Violetta excelled in a supporting role here with 674 for the Flames to boost their lead significantly. Jake had just 200 for the Crowns in response, another mediocre turn to ruin the hosts' chances for a comeback. Briana surged with 765 more for Queens, who have a chokehold grasp on the game. Nightfur tallied 357 for Royal in an attempt to bring them to a respectable score. Mario iced the Flames' offense with 587 individually for a total of 2884 in a likely win. Cassie's 391 left the Crowns at 1233 in the brutal loss. Queens' merciless attack gets them to 20-11, while Royal is now 9-27.

Nike Field, Commerce: The Purple Derby gets another chapter now, as the host Tradewinds sit Rosemary while the Stills cycle Ruby to the bench for some rest. Sierra went with 339 for Todavía this time, struggling against a stronger foe while batting from the lead-off spot. Tigerette rallied with 802 for Commerce at the start, giving them a clear advantage. Bells pushed back with 600 for the Stills on the second attack, enough to cover the deficit. Solaris managed 371 for the Tradewinds, restoring a much smaller lead at the midway point. Easter tapped 345 for Todavía on her turn, the captain helping her side cover the deficit again. Taylor S. covered that damage with 476 for Commerce, keeping the hosts in the lead entering the final turn. Prism fell with a middling 230 for the Stills, causing them to lose at 1514. Niki supplied 310 more for the Tradewinds at the end, sealing their win at 1959. Commerce is up to 19-14, while Todavía slides to 14-24.

Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: The Surfers want to rest Boots in the first of their two meetings with the Prestige this week, while the visitors have their captain Acorn sitting for the first time on the road. Citrus played a solid first turn with 388 for Lighton, but they'll likely need more. Watermelon countered with 434 for Pearl, giving them a small initial lead. Spirit couldn't stop a ball from deflecting off her bat and into her wicket, downing her at 164 for the Prestige. Neopolitan added on with 414 for the Surfers, making a solid addition to their lead. Nicole responded with 441 for Lighton, doing her part to cover the deficit. Bright pushed back with a big 615 for Pearl, pacing their attack to a larger lead late in the game. Shiny was unable to overcome this deficit with 298 for the Prestige, their losing final score staying at 1291. Beth had only 162 but the Surfers still walked away with the win at 1625. Pearl continues to find ways to win, going to 19-10, while Lighton drops to 10-20 with the hard loss.

Nike Field, Commerce: The Tradewinds will sit Solaris for their second and final game of the week, while the Cascades begin a doubleheader with Roxy on the bench. Jasmine laid out 534 for Freedom to kick things off in a positive manner. Tigerette got very close to matching that with 532 for Commerce, putting the teams in a virtual dead heat. Nikolai saw his turn end when he missed a swing, falling at 506 for the Cascades after losing focus. Taylor S. had a better run with 576 for the Tradewinds, giving them a thin lead at the midway mark. Stripes got jammed at 324 for Freedom, taking a little pace out of their game. Niki kept Commerce on track with 587 on her turn, giving the hosts an edge late in the game. Stinky posted 384 for the Cascades at the end, giving them a total of 1748. Rosemary did a short turn at a high pace, her 447 icing the Tradewinds' win at 2142. Commerce bounces to 20-14 while Freedom sits at 12-14.

Toyota Pitch, Freedom: The Cascades return home and sit Stripes this time, while a four-game week for the Stills ends with Sierra taking a breather. Ruby played well with 436 for Todavía, a solid start for the visitors. Jasmine scooped up 537 for Freedom this time, edging them ahead. Bells pushed back with 460 for the Stills, remaining in good form on the second attack. Roxy collapsed at 341 for the Cascades, sacrificing their lead with the average performance. Easter took advantage of the opportunity, lining 512 for Todavía to stake out a larger lead for the visitors. Nikolai couldn't catch up with 192 for Freedom, putting them noticeably behind instead. Prism struggled with 200 for the Stills, putting their total at 1608. Stinky tried to push but his 227 left the Cascades short at 1297 in the loss. Todavía concludes a decent week at 15-24, while Freedom sinks to 12-15.

AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The Waves face the toughest foe in their tripleheader first, sitting Josie while the Tridents come to town without Lize in the lineup. Precious unleashed 675 for Pronger, using a strong pace to produce the high-end opening attack. Snuggle didn't let the visitors escape easily, replying with 640 to make it a close start to the game after one turn. Spot fired back with 445 for the Tridents, taking the pace of the game down a couple of notches. Celestia didn't slow down for the Waves, her 564 enough for them to claim the lead halfway through the game. Zach crumbled at 247 for Pronger, already a shaky turn before the early exit. Dewey didn't make a great response with 245 for Oceanside, just enough to keep them ahead with a player each to go. Potter did worse with 144 for the Tridents, leaving them at only 1511 for the game. Jason V. burst forward with 596 for the Waves to secure their win at 2045. Oceanside defended first place well, rising to 23-8, while Pronger is 18-10 on the year.

AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The middle match of the tripleheader is a Coastal Derby, with the Waves benching Dewey while the visiting Surfers sit Beth. Watermelon got off to a nice start with 572 for Pearl, staking out a strong lead. Snuggle managed 434 for Oceanside in response, forcing the hosts into a trailing position at the start. Boots weakened the Surfers' offense with a poor 146, leaving them vulnerable for now. Celestia stormed the Waves ahead with 579 on the second attack, a big turn to grab the advantage. Neopolitan also had 579 for Pearl, erasing the most recent damage against her team. Josie fought off the danger with 407 for Oceanside, enough to keep her team ahead late in the game. Bright did force a response with 341 for the Surfers, their final score sitting at 1638. Jason V. erupted with 743 for the Waves at the end, capping their win at 2163 this time. Oceanside continues to climb at 24-8, while Pearl drops back into fourth place at 19-11.

AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The Waves complete the tripleheader with the captain Snuggle resting, while Citrus will take the bench in the Prestige's second of a seven-game road trip. Acorn made a good first impression with 503 for Lighton, but he'll need support to fend off the division's top team. Celestia's turn at lead-off was a failure, as her 260 left Oceanside at a deficit. Spirit made a little progress with 395 for the Prestige on the second attack as they try to capitalize on a tired foe. Josie fired back with 570 for the Waves this time, cutting far into the deficit. Nicole responded with 553 for Lighton this time, reasserting their lead with a strong play. Dewey flubbed his set-up swing, ending at 220 when it took out his wicket instead, leaving Oceanside in trouble. Shiny went off with 720 for the Prestige, giving them 2171 overall in what could be a big upset. Jason V. let it go with 156 for the Waves, ceding defeat as they end with 1206. Lighton impressively moves to 11-20, while Oceanside drops back to 24-9.

Kraft Crowns Park, Royal: Potter gets a turn on the bench for the Tridents, while the host Crowns play the fourth of a five-game home stand with Jake out. Precious fumbled a couple of swings to end at 285 for Pronger. Kayla missed a swing as well, ending with 208 for Royal as the hosts will start from behind. Spot tacked on 464 for the Tridents on the second attack, strengthening their tiny lead a bit. Nightfur slugged 611 for the Crowns in very short order, pulling them ahead at the halfway point. Zach showed a little more power with 896 for Pronger, again boosting their lead. Brownie couldn't keep up, lacking pace when she scored 308 for Royal this time. Lize destabilized the Tridents a bit by hitting 146 to set their final score at 1791. Cassie did alright with 445 for the Crowns, but they were short of the mark at 1572 in the loss. Pronger gets a late-week boost up to 19-10, while Royal is 9-28 after the loss.

Honda Driftwood Coliseum, Pearl: A rematch from earlier in the week sees the Prestige sit Shiny despite a recent good game, while the Surfers have Bright out for the Week 16 finale. Acorn had a poor turn with only 115 for Lighton. Watermelon ripped 868 for Pearl in response, a massive turn to produce a sizable lead. Citrus tried to match the pace but fell at 447 for the Prestige instead, not even getting close to the deficit. Boots had a solid outing with 384 for the Surfers, enough to offset some of the damage. Spirit kept the pressure up with 615 for Lighton, trying to get them back in the game. Neopolitan fought it off with 429 for Pearl, their lead shrinking but holding entering the final turn. Nicole's 314 for the Prestige wasn't enough to save them from losing at 1491. Beth made a quick exit with just 48 for the Surfers to finish off their win at 1729. Pearl moved up to 20-11 while Lighton sinks to 11-21 with the loss.

That's it for Elite this week. Premier is set to go tomorrow in full before an uncertain weekend awaits.
