Sydney S. put Harrison ahead with 480 on their opening attack. Sleepy B. wouldn't let the Arrows back down, lashing 717 to raise the stakes on the second attack. Blizzard didn't get all of it back, but her 515 kept the Specters within striking distance midway through the game. Hoppy did her part with 521 for Archtown, sustaining their lead for another turn. Lexi's 339 wasn't enough to get Harrison back in the lead, putting them behind with a player each to go. A. Charlton picked up 410 more for the Arrows to finish their game at 2053. Rudolph had only 184 for the Specters, finishing their loss at 1518. Archtown returns home with a 535-point lead in the series.

Graham had a solid first effort with 434 for Eastside to lead things off. Spice replied with 470 for Victoria, doing just enough for a tiny initial lead. Chelsea had a pathetic 80 as the Sharks take a mid-game stumble. Yekaterina took advantage of the weakness, carving out 569 to give the Spurs a noticeable lead. Taylor M. was unable to catch up with 272 as Eastside remains well behind. Strawberry fell off at 144 for Victoria, weakening their lead late in the game. Stripes had a good pace but took a high swing and closed with 384 for the Cascades, their total resting at 1940. Potter fell short at 330 for the Tridents, leaving them with a disappointing loss of 1899. Freedom can feel good about the win, but the 41-point margin will lead to a tense second leg.

AT&T Oceanside Stadium, Oceanside: The prevailing Elite favorite Waves have Josie out in leg one, while the visiting Defenders bench Caitlin. Bianca charged with 595 for Southridge on the first turn. Snuggle kept it tight with 509 for Oceanside, preventing the damage from getting out of hand. Debby fell back with 454 for the Defenders, potentially opening the door for the hosts. Celestia made a good chunk of progress with 525 for the Waves, setting up a close second half of the game. Stephanie was consistent with her pace, but an early exit at 391 again weakened Southridge's lead. Snowball's wild swing caught up with her at 348 points for Swordpoint on the opening turn. Marsell displayed weakness with only 32 points for Whitewater. Dreamy pounced on it with a pacey 583 for the Blades on their second attack to take a much larger lead. Twinkie III didn't get much back with a middling 249 for the Shores. Bandit lashed 705 for Swordpoint this time, continuing to build their lead up. Katharine managed a respectable 460 for Whitewater. Stealth went with 308 for the Blades to ice their offense at 1944. Charli didn't push very far forward with 395 for Tysini, keeping their attack very balanced. Paps seized the opportunity with 490 for the Hummingbirds, finishing the game with 1646 in total. Lorde's 224 was underwhelming as the Sharpshooters lost with 1246 in the game. Tysini leads by an even 400 points heading into their home leg.

McDonald's Pitch at Pirates Park, Atlantic: The final first leg sees the Pirates sit Isabella at home while the Predators elect to keep the rookie Kitty reserved this time. Shawn hit 429 in a solid first turn for Midland. Delila kept it close with an even 400 for Atlantic in her turn, leaving the game to be decided by the rest of the players. Rainmane let the Predators' lead shrink with her 353 on the second attack. Steven surged with 505 for the Pirates, pulling them ahead at the midway mark. Americus added 341 for Midland, enough to lightly cover the previous deficit. Klaus tagged 579 for Atlantic, pulling them ahead more confidently. Fuchsia snagged 436 for the Predators, icing their game at 1559 to force a response from the hosts. Jason N. couldn't make the response with a miserable 32 for the Pirates, who surprisingly lost with 1516. Midland's got little margin for error even with a 43-point lead heading into their home game.

The long awaited first legs of the second round are done. We're anticipating doing the second legs tomorrow as part of an expedited run-thru of the UPCL Cricket schedule over the next month or two.
