Premier Cricket 2019 - Week 19

Premier wraps up Week 19 with an unusually late Sunday schedule. First up...

Nestle's Warriors Park, Central: The Warriors play five of the first six games in the week, beginning with the league-leading Rockers to start a home doubleheader. Wings sits for the hosts while Midnight is out for the visitors. Misty had a sketchy start with only 135 for Westside, putting them in trouble right away. Twilight showed up stronger with 450 for Central to lead off their attack. Slinks replied with 369 for the Rockers, covering the deficit with the effort. Dustin slammed 875 for the Warriors on their second attack, providing a huge boost to the lead. Goatee was stalled at 370 for Westside, who just don't seem to have another gear for this game. Andrew posted a pacey 540 to keep Central in control. Chimpy accepted 354 as the Rockers took a rare loss at 1228. Noelle kept it simple with 291 for the Warriors to seal their win at 2156. Central is up to 17-18, while Westside slips to 31-6.

Nestle's Warriors Park, Central: The Warriors finish the doubleheader versus a Northeastern rival. Noelle is out for the hosts and Kirstin sits for the visiting Eagles. Goldy started positively with 445 for Everton, a solid effort from the captain. Twilight responded with 609 for Central to give them the initial lead. Bear did well with 414 for the Eagles to keep them in the game. Dustin took a step back with 292 for the Warriors, allowing the advantage to shrink a bit halfway through the game. Cleo connected on a few late swings to put up 786 for Everton, pushing them far ahead. Wings didn't get it all back with 543, causing Central to slip behind with a player each to go. Puff III served the anchor role well with 572 for the Eagles to cap their attack at 2217. Andrew's 224 did not save the Warriors, who lost with 1668 in total. Central goes back to 17-19, while Everton jumps to 22-16.

Cisco Tysini Field, Tysini: In the Southwest, another regional rivalry awaits. Charli is out for the Hummingbirds while Sprinkles takes regular rest for the Sharpshooters. Chris slugged 1033 for Capital City on the opening turn, making a big statement. Sarah got more than half of it back with 555 for Tysini in a strong response. Missy weakened the Sharpshooters lead with only 211 on her turn. Leandra made big gains with 540 for the Hummingbirds, carving away over half of the deficit at the midway point. Lorde rallied Capital City back to strength with 690, protecting their lead quite well. Vincent played well with 521 for Tysini, but they lost ground again. Pauline pushed 584 for the Sharpshooters at the end to cap their attack at 2518. Paps' 426 wasn't enough to change the result for the Hummingbirds, who lost with 2042. Capital City gladly raises to 19-18, while Tysini is 11-25.

Nestle's Warriors Park, Central: The Warriors start a tripleheader against the surging Torpedoes. Andrew takes a turn out for the Warriors while the Torpedoes sit Mr. Snowman. Smudge didn't see the best of times with only 180 for Infinity to start this contest. Twilight also had a rough turn with only 200 for Central. Fluffina raised the stakes with 391 for the Torpedoes on the second attack, bringing a little more power to their offense. Dustin got most of it back with 384 for the Warriors, keeping them narrowly ahead. Shelley pushed back with 417 for Infinity, attempting to boost their offense. Wings slipped at 250 for Central, causing them to fall behind late in the game. Hughbert went off with 556 for the Torpedoes at the end, capping their offense at 1544. Noelle folded at 150 for the Warriors, leaving them to lose at 984. Infinity continues to rise at 16-22, while Central is just 17-20 now.

Nestle's Warriors Park, Central: The Warriors finish the four-game home stand versus the Shores. Twilight's out for the last game of the home stand, while the visitors sit Twinkie III for rest. Marsell produced a solid 454 for Whitewater to open the scoring in this game. Dustin enjoyed the rare turn at lead-off, whacking 590 to give Central the early lead. Shaggy was a little less firm with 283 for the Shores, covering the deficit by a thin margin. Wings covered that damage with 334 for the Warriors in an okay turn at the halfway mark. Katharine put up a bit of a challenge with 353 for Whitewater, but they're still struggling to keep pace. Andrew kept adding small portions to Central's lead, piling on 434 in his return to the lineup. Rosalina's 243 for the Shores stuck them with a loss at 1333. Noelle's 382 helped the Warriors to ice the win at 1740. Central is back to 18-20, while Whitewater sinks to 13-22.

Cisco Tysini Field, Tysini: The Warriors complete their five-game week and the tripleheader on the road versus the Hummingbirds. Wings returns to the bench for the visitors while Paps sits for the hosts. Twilight looked refreshed in walloping 611 at a high pace for Central in her return to the lineup. Sarah got knocked down with 215 for Tysini in an insufficient response. Dustin made a good addition of 484 for the Warriors on the second attack. Leandra got too far under her last swing, ending with 260 as the Hummingbirds cede more ground halfway through the game. Andrew kept Central humming along with 434 to provide another extension on their lead. Charli covered that damage with 450 for Tysini, but they have only one turn to overcome the rest of the deficit. Noelle tacked on 490 for the Warriors at the end, giving them 2019 overall. Vincent's 345 was far short of what the Hummingbirds needed as they take the loss on 1270 total. Central ends the week positive with a 19-20 record, while Tysini is 11-26.

Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: The Torpedoes look for a jump as they host the last-place Predators. Americus will sit for the visitors while Smudge rests for the hosts. Shawn scattered 279 for Midland on the first turn of the game, lacking a cutting-edge attack. Fluffina did better with 454 for Infinity to establish the initial lead in favor of the hosts. Rainmane covered the deficit with an acceptable 376 for the Predators, keeping them competitive for now. Shelley didn't hesitate with 540 for the Torpedoes, lifting their lead a bit high at the halfway mark. Fuchsia nearly took matters into her own hands with 674 for Midland, again covering the deficit. Mr. Snowman had a false start and then posted a pathetic 32 for Infinity, endangering their game dramatically. Kitty didn't do that much with 235 for the Predators at the end, sealing their offense at 1564. Hughbert played the hero for the Torpedoes with 644, rallying them to the comeback win at 1670. Infinity is saved to move to 17-22, while Midland is down to 9-30.

Cisco Tysini Field, Tysini: The Hummingbirds' third of a five-game home stand comes against a fellow bubble team in the Shores. Rosalina is benched for the visitors while Leandra rests for the first time in 15 games for the hosts. Marsell belted 914 for Whitewater in a brilliant opening turn for the visitors. Sarah, seemingly a bit shellshocked, replied with a decent 409 for Tysini. Twinkie III had the pace to go much deeper than the 314 she provided the Shores on the second attack. Charli made a little progress with 456 for the Hummingbirds, starting to fight back against the deficit. Shaggy replied with 519 for Whitewater, keeping their attack strong and sturdy. Vincent got tangled early in his turn, deflecting a ball backward to stop at 162 for Tysini. Katharine added 240 for the Shores, giving them a final score of 1987, which should snap their seven-game losing skid. Paps pushed back with 512 for the Hummingbirds, but they still lost with 1539 for their fifth-straight defeat. Whitewater rebounds to 14-22 while Tysini tumbles to 11-27.

Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: The last of four straight games in the Southwest sees the Torpedoes take on the high-flying Pilots. Mr. Snowman sits for the hosts while the visitors bench Sparkles as they start their four-game final road trip. Valencia hammered 940 for Golden in a tone-setting opening turn from the visitors. Her sister, Smudge, managed a mediocre 280 for Infinity in response. Dusty carved out 644 for the Pilots on a very strong supporting attack. Fluffina attempted to shoot back with 476 for the Torpedoes, but they still lost a bit of ground. Strut faltered at 285 for Golden, causing their lead to weaken slightly. Shelley had nice pace but exited a bit early with 400 for Infinity. Max flicked 287 for the Pilots at the end to cap their offense at 2156. Hughbert's heroics ended as he hit a meager 108 as the Torpedoes lost with 1264 this time. Golden is up to 26-13, while Infinity slips to 17-23, the result enough for the Everton Eagles to clinch a Hutton Cup berth.

BMW RockDome, Westside: The Rockers begin a doubleheader versus bubble teams with a home game against the Shores. The visitors end their road slate with Katharine out, while the hosts rest their captain Misty. Marsell did not take it easy, striking an even 500 for Whitewater at the start. Slinks was able to rival that effort, lashing 570 for Westside to take the initial lead. Twinkie III dropped the pace a bit with 308 for the Shores, occasionally looking uncomfortable at bat. Goatee made a modest addition with 388 for the Rockers, although her recent efforts suggest a need to rest. Shaggy kept Whitewater in the battle with 387, lightly covering the deficit. Chimpy pushed Westside a little further ahead with, giving them a noticeable lead late in the game. Rosalina's 304 for the Shores gave them 1499 overall, forcing a small response from the hosts. Midnight covered it with 305 for the Rockers to seal their victory at 1714. Westside is up to 32-6 on the year, while Whitewater drops to 14-23 and finishes at 7-15 on the road.

Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: The Rockers complete the doubleheader on the road, with Goatee getting well-earned rest, while the Torpedoes bench Hughbert for their home finale. Misty used a relentless pace to tally 470 for Westside at the start of this game. Smudge fired back with 429 for Infinity, also attacking with good pace on her turn. Slinks stormed forward with 676 for the Rockers, increasing their lead significantly with the second attack. Fluffina didn't keep up with 280 for the Torpedoes, who are suddenly losing momentum in the standings. Chimpy piled on with 515 for Westside, giving their lead a strong extension. Shelley was downed at only 115 for Infinity, making a comeback highly unlikely. Midnight chopped 550 more for the Rockers at the end, sealing their game at 2211. Mr. Snowman's 341 didn't flip the game, as the Torpedoes lost with 1165. Westside is at 33-6, while Infinity finishes 9-13 at home while dipping to 17-24 overall.

Chevrolet Field, Everton: Strong teams collide in the Week 19 finale, with the Eagles resting their captain Goldy while the Pilots sit Strut on regular rest. Valencia slashed 694 for Golden to give the visitors a fantastic start. Bear melted at 128 for Everton, a poor start that sees the hosts trail early on. Dusty sliced another 537 for the Pilots on their second attack, extending the lead quite a bit. Cleo lost more ground with 350 for the Eagles, who have come under siege on their own field. Max had two good swings and one that went too high, ending with 72 as Golden becomes a little vulnerable. Puff III pulled back with 397 for Everton, cutting into the deficit ahead of the final players' turns. Sparkles poked 308 for the Pilots at the end to finish the game with 1611 overall. Kirstin was stymied by a dead ball on the pitch, causing her to drop at 60 as the Eagles lost with 935. Golden surges to 27-13, while Everton is 22-17 after the loss.
