Premier will close out the week here, beginning with...
Samsung Whitewater Stadium, Whitewater: A rapid home-and-home doubleheader sees the Shores sit Marsell as they host the first game, while the Torpedoes have Shelley on the bench. Smudge immediately made an impact with 890 for Infinity to set the tone very early. Twinkie III recovered about half of it with 486 for Whitewater, a solid cut into the deficit. Fluffina collected 434 for the Torpedoes in response, keeping their lead fairly steady. Shaggy grabbed 361 for the Shores, losing a little more ground at the halfway point. Mr. Snowman faded at 264 for Infinity, weakening their lead slightly. Katharine failed to push back with only 220 for Whitewater. Hughbert added 344 for the Torpedoes at the end, capping their attack at 1932. Rosalina's mild 260 didn't challenge the deficit, leaving the Shores to lose at 1327. Infinity strikes first to get to 9-17, while Whitewater is 13-18.
Nissan Infinity Stadium, Infinity: In the return match, the Shores begin their final road trip, a six-game run, with Katharine on the bench, while the Torpedoes sit Mr. Snowman. Marsell led off with 350 for Whitewater this time, a decent outing. Smudge feasted again with 810 for Infinity, pulling the hosts to a significant lead. Twinkie III was unable to cover the deficit with 364 as the Shores continue to struggle in this fixture. Fluffina popped off with 744 for the Torpedoes on the second attack, likely already securing the game. Shaggy got jammed at 276 for Whitewater, doing very little to push against the deficit. Shelley went with 494 for Infinity in her return to the lineup, a solid outing to build the lead again. Rosalina had the pace for a good game but a bad swing stalled her at 361 as the Shores lost again with 1351. Hughbert poked 243 to finish the Torpedoes win at 2291. Infinity jumps to 10-17, while Whitewater slides to 13-19.
Blades Fusion ProGlide Park, Swordpoint: Stealth will take a seat for the host Blades in this match, while the visiting Swifts give Patches another rest. Puff II blasted 1131 for Boston to lead off the game, a massive performance that has the hosts shaking already. Snowball's slump persisted with only 225 for Swordpoint to start this time. Gradley fumbled his way to 32 for the Swifts, somehow managing to weaken their hefty lead. Dreamy wasted the opportunity with a measly 57 for the Blades. Sweetheart got Boston back on track with 553, boosting their lead. Bandit didn't have much with 243 for Swordpoint, as the hosts appear unprepared to even attempt a comeback. Ice Cream delivered 371 for the Swifts to ice their likely win at 2087. Sugar did well with 564 for the Blades before swinging and missing, ending the team's offense at 1089. Boston rises to 18-10 while Swordpoint slips to 13-18.
HP Field, Midland: The Rockers, fresh off of clinching a Hutton Cup Playoffs spot, sit Misty against the last-place Predators, who will give Rainmane a rest in a long-shot game. Slinks had no trouble stepping into the lead-off role with 790 for Westside on the starting attack. Shawn had a good pace but an early exit left him with 300 for Midland to begin the game. Goatee had a rather mild 326 for the Rockers, enough to keep their lead steady. Americus only managed 256 for the Predators in response, unable to take advantage of the lull. Chimpy rocked 571 for Westside this time, a big addition to their strong lead. Fuchsia didn't push very well with 256 for Midland, who are chugging along at a slow scoring pace. Midnight had an ugly 64 for the Rockers at the end, setting their final score at 1751, which should be enough regardless. Kitty rallied with 535 for the Predators, but they came up short anyway at 1347. Westside soars to 28-5, while Midland is just 7-24.
Coca-Cola Field, Boston: The Generations Derby is back, with the visiting Warriors sitting Dustin while the host Swifts cycle Gradley out for rest. Twilight had a vicious pace and scored 484 for Central to open the game. Patches stormed back with 796 for Boston, attacking with greater bite to pull the hosts ahead initially. Wings' 391 was enough for the Warriors to lightly cover the deficit on the second attack. Puff II patiently attacked, covering the damage with an even 400 for the Swifts at the midway mark. Central rookie Andrew stepped up with a good pace and 454 for the visitors to again briefly pull ahead. Sweetheart lost a little ground with 395 but she managed to keep Boston ahead going into the final turn. Noelle's 441 for the Warriors forced a response from the hosts to her team's final score of 1770. Ice Cream pushed 554 to seal the win for the Swifts at 2145. Boston surges to 19-10 on the year, while Central continues to scuffle at 14-16.
Amazon Field, Golden: The Pilots host the Torpedoes to begin a three-team tango, with the visitors sitting Hughbert while the hosts play without Sparkles, who will take regular rest. Smudge played alright with 434 for Infinity to lead things off. Valencia responded with 584, topping her sister and giving Golden the early advantage. Fluffina had the pace for awhile, but a high swing stopped her at 291 for the Torpedoes. Dusty scraped together 529 more for the Pilots, extending their lead midway through the game. Shelley got shut down at 72 when a ball tipped over the handle of her bat, ruining Infinity's comeback hopes. Strut poked 364 for Golden, an average turn to keep their lead strong. Mr. Snowman made an attack with 550 for the Torpedoes, but they still fell at 1347 overall. Max kept it simple with 324 to ice the Pilots win at 1801. Golden lifts to 23-13 while Infinity dips to 10-18.

Chris got this Southwestern rivalry going with 593 for Capital City, a firm starting burst. Smudge replied with 353 for Infinity, putting the hosts behind after the first turn. Missy didn't hold back at all, pushing 831 for the Sharpshooters on the second attack to solidify their lead. Shelley fell with only 144 for the Torpedoes, clearly struggling since her off game. Sprinkles wasted the chance to really lock it up for Capital City, her 162 potentially making the visitors a little vulnerable. Mr. Snowman cut into the deficit with 607 for Infinity, but they remain behind with a player each to go. Lorde posted 308 for the Sharpshooters at the end, sealing their offense 1894. Hughbert was stuffed at 50 for the Torpedoes, leaving them to lose at 1154 overall. Capital City jumps to 13-12, while Infinity sinks again to 10-19.

Strut capitalized on the failure with 514 for Golden, giving the hosts a lead again heading into the final players' turns. Pauline produced 334 for the Sharpshooters at the end, but they took the loss on 1533 total. Sparkles tapped just 211 for the Pilots, enough to seal their win at 1787. Golden takes the three-team tango and jumps to 24-13, while Capital City slips back to 13-13.
Coca-Cola Field, Boston: The Swifts begin a home doubleheader with Sweetheart on the sidelines, while the visiting Pirates give Jason N. regular rest. Delila hammered 639 for Atlantic to start the game in good form. Patches fell at 185 for Boston, a struggle of a turn putting the hosts noticeably behind. Isabella didn't have the same pace with 324 for the Pirates, but their lead remains strong. Puff II covered that damage with 345 for the Swifts, who are struggling to find traction in this game. Steven countered with 402 for Atlantic in an attempt to protect their lead. Gradley rallied with 873 for Boston this time, the surge pushing his team narrowly ahead with a player each to go. Klaus stumbled with 64, the shock of having something to play for leaving the Pirates exposed at 1429. Ice Cream didn't do much, hitting only 121, but it was enough to steal the Swifts a win at 1524. Boston is up to 20-10, while Atlantic feels hard done to fall to 15-16.
Coca-Cola Field, Boston: The Swifts complete the doubleheader with Ice Cream on the bench, while the visiting Shores sit Rosalina this time out. Marsell served up 450 for Whitewater in a solid opening turn from the lead-off man. Patches fired back with a pacey 615 for Boston, enough to give them the initial lead. Boston rises again to 21-10 while Whitewater's dive continues down to 13-20.
McDonald's Pitch at Pirates Park, Atlantic: The Torpedoes play a road doubleheader to end the week, benching Shelley for this match, while the Pirates sit Isabella at home. Smudge continued to rake points in with 745 for Infinity at the start of this game. Delila flipped 635 for Atlantic, keeping the hosts fairly close at first. Fluffina faltered at just 112 for the Torpedoes, leaving them suddenly vulnerable. Steven had a decent 385 for the Pirates, enough to edge them ahead in the middle of the game. Mr. Snowman didn't do so well with 285 for Infinity, just covering the deficit. Klaus busted his recent slump with 661 for Atlantic, setting them far ahead late in the game. Hughbert's 115 was the final nail for the Torpedoes, who lost with 1257 in total. Jason N. tapped 405 for the Pirates at the end, sealing their win at 2086. Atlantic bursts up to 16-16, while Infinity continues to slide to 10-20.
Capital City SuperCenter, Capital City: The Sharpshooters are home, sitting Lorde in this Southwestern Derby, while Hughbert returns to the bench for the Torpedoes in the week 16 finale. Smudge tried to keep up the pace but fell with 337 for Infinity, the six-game week clearly wearing her down. Chris took 270 for Capital City in this game, a bit of a slow start for the captain. Fluffina pushed back with 395 for the Torpedoes on the second attack, keeping the pace of the game subdued. Missy lost ground with only 290 for the Sharpshooters at the halfway mark. Shelley stayed in line with her Infinity teammates, tallying 334 this time out. Sprinkles failed to produce a breakout with 283 for Capital City, as the hosts just can't get an edge. Mr. Snowman left the door open by hitting just 50 for the Torpedoes at the end, leaving their total at 1116. Pauline fell short with 184 for the Sharpshooters, who took the loss on 1027 overall. Infinity finally caught a break to get to 11-20, while Capital City is down to 13-14.
That's it for Week 16. I'm planning on attempting to get Select Week 17 played tomorrow, as well as Elite on Sunday, but both will be tight fits and may need to be split or pushed back a day.
