The Eastside Sharks were a top team last year, but bowed out early in the playoffs due to a weakness in their lineup. This was remedied when Robyn left the league, allowing the Sharks another compensatory pick for her unexpected departure. That pick was used to draft another rookie, Niki, which has been the standard operating procedure for the Sharks over the years. Niki has been good enough, but the Sharks are right in the middle of the pack at 17-15, good for 15th in the league as of their game at Pearl. At home, they are 10-6, but that is offset a bit by a 7-9 road record that makes them a bit of an average team. Not helping matters is being a member of the East Division, and not one of it's best teams, standing at 3-4 in the division. This could be their biggest issue going forward, since the schedule will be manageable.
The Sharks have a total team average of 1672, making them a pretty good team. The Sharks are led by their only original member left from the first draft, the captain Graham. The controversial figure is averaging nearly 443 points per game this season, good for 26.5% of the offense at a consistency of only 1.1, making him a big threat to excite or disappoint every single game. Right behind Graham is Chelsea, the longtime veteran with an average of just over 443, also good for about 26.5% of the offense. Chelsea is a more stable contributor for the team, but not by much with her consistency just over 1.2. Behind them is the team's offensive leader this season, the celebrity player Taylor Swift. Taylor is good for about 473 per game, making up 28.5% of the offense. Taylor also lacks consistency, with a mark just greater than 1.3 in that statistic. At the back of the lineup is Niki, who is doing well for a rookie but not great for a team with playoff aspirations. Niki has heated up lately to get her average to 312, but this is only 18.5% of the team offense. Niki has a consistency of about 1.15 as well, which allows her to be a bit rangy in scores. Overall, this is a team with a lot of talent and a lot to feel good about going forward. However, they will fall from grace and miss the playoffs this season as just one of those things that happens.
