For the first time in two years, the Lighton Prestige made a roster change, cutting loose with three-year veteran Pounce, who landed with the Oceanside Waves. From a similar region, the former Viewpoint Sound Meteor Lydia came south to join the Prestige, and she has lifted them to new heights. The Prestige aren't the best team in the league, but they have an 18-14 record that sees them tied for 10th, firmly in playoff position right now. At home, the Prestige are solid with a record of 10-7, while they play even at 8-7 on the road. The problem for the Prestige has been West Division opponents, as evidenced by the loss to an inferior Spurs team. The division record of 2-7 will put the Prestige on the wrong side of a lot of tiebreakers this year.
The Prestige hold an average of 1664, which borders on lumping them into the elite status. Leading the team is grizzled veteran and team captain Acorn, a thoughtful player with an average of 466 points per game, holding 28% of the team's very balanced attack. Acorn has a consistency around 1.5 as well, making him a tone-setter and game-changer atop the lineup. Behind him is a similarly cautious understudy, Spirit, who owns a 440 average for 26.5% of the team offense. Spirit has a consistency of around 1.3, making her a more explosive force than the team's captain. Another longtime player for the team, Twinkie I, bats third with her 366 point average, a comfortable spot in the league. Twinkie I is taking only 22% of the offense, but it's a big offense, and her consistency of almost 1.8 makes her a highly reliable source of points for the team. Rounding out the squad is their newcomer, Lydia, who has adjusted well to her new environs with a 391 point average that counts for 23.5% of the offense. Lydia is another thoughtful player for the very composed team, and she holds a consistency of about 1.7, which is right in the sweet spot for all of her statistics. While no player on the team individually ranges much, the team as a whole can explode together, making them especially dangerous and a near lock for the playoffs with the high-caliber talent on the squad.
