We're starting to wind down a bit with qualifying, with over a third of the league already done. Today's first game goes to...
Terrace City Knights veteran Oreo, as she plays 15-ball with the blue cue. Oreo had nothing on the break, and took six errors in a difficult appearance to finish in 30 shots, not bad for the first game of a very cold day. Next up, Queens Flames returnee Kyle plays Accuracy with the blue cue, the 72nd player done with qualifiers. Kyle came close but empty on the break, but he was fast after that, needing only 17 shots to finish the game without an error. Kyle finishes at 160 shots and 17 errors. The third player called today is Viewpoint Sound Meteors veteran Hoot, who shoots Rotation with the silver cue. Hoot had a horrendous start, going empty on the break and taking two of his three errors before a single ball was potted. He stayed calm and surged late, but the 15 provided more trouble before he finished at 35 shots. Continuing along, Tysini Hummingbirds star Leandra plays 15-ball with the red cue. Leandra had a superb game, making a ball on the break and taking the rack down in full in 18 shots without an error, with a handful of brilliant or lucky shots to pave the way. At the back of the group, Todavía Stills veteran Bells shoots Accuracy with the silver cue as the 73rd player to finish qualifying. Bells cleared the table in 18 shots without an error, helped by a ball on the break to pace her attack early on. Bells finished with 157 shots and 8 errors overall.
The second group gets going with Westside Rockers veteran Goatee playing 10-ball with the silver cue. Goatee got two balls on the break, covering the two errors she suffered later on, and she finished with a score of 14 shots. Moving along, Southridge Defenders sophomore Stephanie Livilotti becomes the 74th player finished with qualifying as she plays Accuracy with the red cue. Stephanie needed 22 shots without an error after an empty break, a bit of a slow game from the young player. She ends with 172 shots and 19 errors in a rough start to the season. The eighth game today is also Accuracy with the red cue, as Golden Pilots legend Dusty ends her qualifying sessions 75th by speed. Dusty did a bit better, her empty break requiring only 19 shots to clean up. She finished at 172 shots and 20 errors after a couple of earlier tough games. Pearl Surfers co-captain Neopolitan takes the next game, using the silver cue in 15-ball. Neopolitan had a ball on the break, and kept her errors down to two as she ended with 21 shots, finishing on a 12-15 bank combination to the bottom right. Viewpoint Sound Meteors captain Mams ends the group with her Accuracy game with the silver cue, the 76th player done with qualifiers. Mams completed the effort with 18 shots and no errors despite an empty break, giving her final scores of 166 shots and 8 errors.
Group three opens with Terrace City Knights captain Kiwi shooting 10-ball with the red cue. Kiwi didn't make anything on the break, but she was strong after a wild first shot, taking the game in 15 shots without an error. Up next, Whitewater Shores captain Bear does Accuracy with the silver cue, the 77th player to finish qualifying. Bear completed the game in 17 shots without an error after coming up just empty on the break. Bear has totals of 152 shots and 13 errors. Lighton Prestige star Spirit continues her accelerated push, becoming the 78th player done with qualifying as she uses the blue cue for Accuracy. Spirit had a tough game, going empty on a break that didn't move much around. She ended with 18 shots and one error after a scratch near the middle of the appearance, which produced totals of 149 shots and 12 errors. The 14th player drawn today is Southridge Defenders sophomore Hughbert, who shoots 12-ball with the blue cue. Hughbert did great, making two balls on the break and suffering no errors over 16 shots, a quick and painless appearance. Closing the group, Hughbert returns for Rotation with the silver cue. Hughbert needed 27 shots this time, with four errors and nothing on the break in a bit of a disappointment compared to his previous effort.
Batch four starts with Pearl Surfers co-captain Watermelon, who shoots Accuracy with the blue cue as the 79th player done with qualifying. Watermelon delivered an excellent appearance, finishing in 15 shots with no errors and a ball on the break. Watermelon's final numbers were 151 shots and 7 errors. Following that, Noelle of the Central Warriors plays 10-ball with the blue cue. Noelle had a ball on the break but also added three errors after some issues with shooting form. She finished the game in a still-reasonable 16 shots. Commerce Tradewinds star Taylor Swift goes next, the 80th player to finish as she plays Accuracy with the silver cue. Taylor closed it out in 18 shots with no errors after an empty break, putting her final numbers at 140 shots and 11 errors. The 19th game of the day belongs to Pronger Tridents veteran Zach, who shoots Accuracy with the silver cue as the 81st player to complete his qualifiers. Zach needed 20 shots with one error to get through his appearance, finishing with 142 shots and 15 errors. Finishing the group, Stonebridge Wolves rookie Vladimir Vasilyev plays 15-ball with the blue cue. Vladimir had a shot for a great game, but his 1-6-15 combination produced a scratch, his first of four errors forcing him to clear the table. Vladimir ended with 28 shots in the game after an earlier empty break.
Group five kicks off with Lighton Prestige captain Acorn shooting Accuracy with the silver cue, the 82nd player done with qualifying. Acorn couldn't get anything on the break, and he lacked command on some of his shots, finishing with 22 and no errors. He totaled 152 shots and 13 errors throughout his games. After that, Swordpoint Blades sophomore Bandit shoots 15-ball with the silver cue. Bandit had nothing on the break, but he kept his performance simple, ending with 26 shots and two errors, getting off the hook for an additional one via genuine intent at the target ball. Next up, the Blades' Jason N. plays 12-ball with the blue cue. Jason needed only 15 shots despite an empty break, getting a fortunate double-pot and some brilliant setup work to complete the game quickly. Moving along, Sleepy B. of the Archtown Arrows is the 83rd player to complete qualifying as she uses the silver cue in Accuracy. Sleepy B. managed to avoid errors in the game, but she wasted making two balls on the break by needing 19 shots to finish the game. Sleepy B. scored 169 shots and 12 errors over her qualifiers. The 25th game of the day goes to Pacific Volcanoes newcomer Twinkie I, who plays Rotation with the red cue. Twinkie I had nothing on the break, but she stayed decisive on her early shots, taking three errors with intent but finishing the game with 26 shots for a good outing.
The sixth group leads off with the most long-awaited debut of the season, as the Capital City Sharpshooters veteran Sprinkles plays 7-ball with the red cue. Sprinkles had a rough start to her qualifying, needing 13 shots with one error to clear the table after a couple of lucky early plays. The Atlantic Pirates' Isabella goes next, playing 12-ball with the silver cue. Isabella had a miserable performance getting a ball on the break but also needing 31 shots and three errors to complete the game after some serious shooting mistakes. The 28th player called to shoot is Harrison Specters rookie Mitchell, who shoots 12-ball with the blue cue. Mitchell had a supreme quality break, making two balls and getting great positioning on almost all of the rest. He ended the game in 14 shots without an error. Following that, the Capital City Sharpshooters veteran Missy plays 12-ball with the red cue. Missy was almost as good, but she had only one ball on the break and 16 error-free shots at the end of her game. Wrapping up the group, Midland Predators veteran Americus shoots Rotation with the red cue. Americus couldn't get a ball on the break, and she needed 28 shots with three errors to finish a fairly average game.
Group seven begins as Web City Spiders veteran Shiny plays Accuracy with the red cue as the 84th player to finish qualifying. Shiny got just a bump at the end to get a ball on the break, and she stayed clean with no errors in 18 shots, giving her 152 shots and 12 errors in all her qualifiers. Boston Swifts stalwart Gradley shoots 15-ball with the blue cue in this appearance. Gradley had a chance at a quick finish after his empty break, but he erred when he sank the 15, forcing him to clear the table in 25 shots with only two errors. The 33rd game today goes to Stonebridge Wolves captain Juno, who shoots Accuracy with the blue cue, the 85th player done with qualifying. Juno didn't make a ball on a rather poor break, but a cluster-busting double-pot helped her finish the appearance in 16 shots without an error, for totals of 137 shots and 6 errors in a great start to her year. Continuing along, Everton Eagles legend Goldy plays Accuracy with the blue cue as well, the 86th player to finish qualifying. Goldy also went empty on the break, but had a worse distribution, ending up at 19 shots and no errors to end with totals of 151 shots and 6 errors. Rounding out the group, Maplewood Lumberjacks captain Diddley shoots Accuracy with the blue cue, the 87th player to finish qualifiers. Diddley got the best of this most recent trio, getting two balls on the break and clearing the table in 15 shots without an error. Diddley finishes with 169 shots and 18 errors overall though, a rough start to his year.
The final group is fronted by Infinity Torpedoes newcomer Fluffina, who plays Rotation with the silver cue. Fluffina had a pretty strong game, making a ball on the break but also picking up four errors over 26 shots out of desperation to keep things moving. The 37th game of the day belongs to the Archtown Arrows' Dusky, who shoots 12-ball with the red cue. Dusky played a patient game after an empty break and was rewarded with 16 shots and no errors as her scores for the game. After that, the Knights' Oreo returns for Accuracy with the silver cue, the 88th player to complete qualifying. Oreo needed 19 shots after her empty break, but she took no errors in the game, ending her qualifying sessions at 148 shots and 11 errors overall. Up next, the Torpedoes' Fluffina returns for 15-ball with the red cue. Fluffina had a fantastic game despite an empty break, taking only two errors in 21 shots for another great game on her list. Finally, the Todavía Stills' Prism plays 10-ball with the silver cue. Prism did make a ball on the break, and finished in 14 shots with two errors after a kick on the 5 sank the 10 in the bottom side.
That's all for today. We have an internal research audit in progress, but that should not affect either Premier cricket or tomorrow's qualifying action.
