Atlantic Pirates at Midseason

The Atlantic Pirates experienced some change in the offseason, watching as Amber retired and Dominic's second stint was brought to a close. To replace the veterans, rookies came in, and they've been immediate successes for this team. The Atlantic Pirates, usually a poorer cricket team, are 22-13, albeit just 2-4 in the Eastern Hills Division. This is a team that spent some time in 1st place, carrying a home record of 11-8, while they are even better at 11-5 on the road. A home slump has seen them sink in the standings, but their offense churns out 1693 points per game, making them quite the effective force. While the rookies have been good, veterans Americus and Delila lead the team in scoring overall and at home. On the road, Klaus has proven to be quite the specialist for the Pirates. Isabella may not have the big numbers, but her energy and poise as a rookie have been welcomed. The Pirates are not explosive by any means, just steady scorers in any given game, ready to challenge in the playoffs. With their strong record and experience from leading the league for a bit, the Pirates could mix things up in the playoffs, where they're expected to play at season's end.
