Modernistic Union at Midseason

The Modernistic Union saw two players leave last season, Chimpy (Puyallup Exodus) and Juno (traded to Stonebridge Wolves for the #2 overall pick). In came the rookie Daisy with the traded pick, and the Pronger Tridents veteran Strawberry with their natural pick in the first round. The quick end to draft day didn't benefit the Union much, as they still have struggled to a 15-20 record, including an 0-3 mark in the Urban Division. At home, the Union have gone 6-8, while they are just as bad at 9-12 on the road. The Union do not have a scoring problem by any means, averaging 1700 points per game, so it must be an issue on defense instead. Team veterans Ms. Puppy and Puff I lead the team with averages approaching 500 each, and a recent surge from the rookie Daisy sees her exceed 400 per game. Both Ms. Puppy and Daisy are balanced by venue, while Puff I much prefers home. Strawberry is a weak link at 330 points per game, and a road preference. Ms. Puppy is also an explosive player, strange for the usually conservative captain. The Union have clicked a bit better lately, but there's many teams to pass if they want a chance to get a playoff spot.
