Oceanside Waves at Midseason
The Oceanside Waves lost a big piece of their identity in the offseason when Bells moved to the Todavía Stills. Pounce also left the team, for the Southern Monarchs, and the Waves have called on two rookies to fill the void, Celestia and Dewey. The Waves, led by captain Snuggle, have gone 19-16 so far this year, with a 2-1 division record. At home, they are 9-6, while they hold an even 10-10 record on the road. For scoring purposes, the Waves produce 1695 points per game, a decent effort from the hodgepodge team. All players average between 400 and 450 points per game, making the Waves a balanced team, led by the rookies. Caitlin, while holding the lowest average overall, is a major home weapon, while their road game is a bit weaker across the board. Caitlin and Celestia provide the explosiveness, while Snuggle and Dewey can be counted on for steady performances each time they take the field. While they are a young team save for Snuggle, the Waves have all the right pieces to be a dark horse contender in the second half, especially if they can go on a big win streak at any point.
