Pacific Volcanoes at Midseason
The Pacific Volcanoes made only one change in the offseason, as Jack left in the Puyallup Exodus and Chicky Phil stepped in to replace him. With captain Starlight and veterans Ms. Kitty and Leonette, the Volcanoes have put together quite the season thus far, with a 24-11 record and 3-1 record in the Coastal Division. The Volcanoes at 10-6 at home, and 14-5 on the road, making them dangerous in any venue. Their offense comes in at 1704 points per game, one of the more devastating units in the league, but this is not a balanced effort. Starlight carries the load with 525 points per game, and Ms. Kitty supports with 446 more. Most Volcanoes games are won or lost in the first half of play. It should be noted that all players except Leonette are much stronger on the road than at home, contributing greatly to that strong road record. Consistency is not this team's strongest suit, but there's enough firepower throughout the lineup to get the win even if one player has an off day. The Volcanoes are one of the best teams in the league this season, and they have a real and significant chance to challenge for the championship.
