Harrison Specters at Midseason

The Harrison Specters saw a lot of change at the end of last year. Most importantly, the only captain they'd ever known was shown the door, as Slinks joined the Westside Rockers. Brownie also left for the Tysini Hummingbirds. In came Lexi from the Viewpoint Sound Meteors and Sugar from the Specters' biggest rivals, the Web City Spiders, but the results haven't been there. A long stay in last place gave way to recent success, as the Specters reach a 14-21 record, but still 0-4 in the Northeast Division. At home, the Specters are 7-9, while they are a slightly worse 7-12 on a heavier road schedule. They score about 1537 points per game, a deceptively low number that belies the short runs of quality each player has had. The new captain, Twinkie II, leads the way in all venues, with ample support from the lead-off hitter Sydney in all venues. Lexi has performed decently, with explosiveness at times as well. Sugar has been less satisfying for the Specters, her low offense frequently holding the team back a bit. Harrison will have an uphill battle in the second half if they want to make the playoffs, but this team should grow together: their pool season has gone excellently.
