Westside Rockers at Midseason
The Westside Rockers made a slight change to their roster between 2016 and 2017. Leaving the team after a couple of years was Chicky Phil, who went to the Pacific Volcanoes. Coming aboard, the former Harrison Specters captain Slinks found a place to start fresh. The results have been wonderful in cricket, with the Rockers holding a 23-12 record and threatening the top positions, while also going 3-2 in the Urban Division. At home, the Rockers are a sparkling 9-5, while they have also gone 14-7 on a busy road schedule. The Rockers are finding success with the bat, scoring 1807 points per game in a remarkable offensive effort, and they are an intimidating force at home, with three players above 500 points per home game. Slinks averages just under 500 per game anywhere, followed by Midnight and Misty, who hover around 450. Goatee is just under 400 per game, but leads the team with 558 per home game. All of the players have the ability to be explosive, and it seems like the Rockers have a new hero each game. The Specters likely regret letting Slinks leave, but she's a big reason the Rockers are one of the favorites to win the Hutton Cup, let alone make the playoffs, which seems like a lock already.
